Sora vs Thor

Hold on tight. Fasten your seat belts. For KINGDOM HEARTS!

Now your probably wondering who is this character with the anime-stylish, fantasy look? You know the character whose falling in that gif... Or better yet who`s exactly is this Sora character? Well it all began when the first title of the RPG series called Kingdom Hearts was released March 28, 2002 for the PS2. This game really did speak to many and had sparks flying due to it`s distinctive characteristic that was shared between the magic of Disney and the strategy of Final Fantasy. Kingdom Hearts in other words won over many hearts (get it, cause the Kingdom Hearts series is about hearts?) due to it`s charm, uniqueness, honorary quality that paid respect to the FF series but it was really because of Square`s bold and bright decision to crossover their Final Fantasy property with that of the Disney umbrella of characters, and the reason why this is important is because that is how a character like Sora came to be. Now Sora started out as this young kid on Destiny Island who dreamed of seeing other worlds with his childhood friends Riku and Kairi. Seems normal right? But everything is but normal due to that day when the Heartless arrive (pretty much darkness in people`s hearts given form) and destroy Destiny Island which is Sora`s beloved home in the process of that happening his friend Riku is last seen to b engulfed by darkness as he enters into a dark portal while his friend Kairi is nowhere to be seen in the midst of all this, Sora is chosen by the Keyblade to be it`s wielder due to his pure heart and originally the Keyblade was meant for his friend Riku but due to his weakness to the darkness it instead chooses Sora. Sora would later meetup with new friends and later comrades such as Donald and Goofy as they were left with a note by King Mickey (he also wields his own Keyblade) to go and search out for the chosen Keyblade wielder who happened to be Sora. King Mickey was left in the Realm of Darkness so Sora`s role in this whole thing really speaks volumes of what this all really means. Sora, Donald and Goofy later then set out to find Riku, Kairi and King Mickey in their journey to save the many worlds from everlasting darkness. This even goes back further to times that predate things like the Keyblade, the Heartless, Light, Darkness and etc. And what that is basically is the Keyblade War a war between Light and Darkness there were three Keyblade wielders before Riku and Sora`s time their names were Aqua, Ven and Terra. Now Sora fits into this equation because Terra was the one who performed the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony on Riku so that he could later become a Keyblade wielder but as I explained before with the darkness interfering with that purpose due to Riku`s own heart it then ended up in our awesome, magical and fantastical protagonist`s hands. As you already stated Conner_Wolf, your not too familiar with Kingdom Hearts and haven`t played the games but there is no need to worry as I will introduce to you an entertaining and enlightening video that acts as an awesome explainer for Sora and his universe.

Music to set the Mood!

Now before I get into Sora`s order of feats and how he exactly defeats Thor in this match, I will showcase mood setters and openers specific to Sora, this music brings back memories when it comes to me in my younger days, when I first started playing Kingdom Hearts (don`t worry I still play the games from time to time, as its still very awesome =D).

Sora`s order of feats!

Now that everything has been introduced when it comes to the story, its universe and the good ol KH songs that the series is known for it is time to put the focus on Sora. I will be going in a specific order in regards to Sora`s all-around capabilities when it comes to what he can do and then I will showcase why these arguments actually validate Sora`s victory in the long term.

PART 2:

I covered Sora`s basic stats (although there is much more to Sora than what was presented in part 1 when it came to his order of feats) for this part I will be discussing his versatility and skill as those two aspects deserve their own categories.

SKILL:

Sora faces off against Sephiroth for the first time and he`s only a 14 YEAR OLD kid! He stalemate him and even gets Cloud`s attention. Sephiroth as noted in the Jiminy Cricket Journals is the greatest swordsmen ever and notice how the wording, Final Fantasy VII is shown. This draws parallels and comparisons with Sephiroth`s point of origin, and what I mean by that is the fact that the developers intended for this Sephiroth to be as close as possible to his FF counterpart. Jmarshmallow had a more connective way of conveying this although I disagreed with him as I believed the games to be the first canon which is why I rather use FF7 as a reference point for what Sephiroth the character can do rather than saying the characters are exact equals or that their canon to one another.

Kingdom Hearts:

Once known as the greatest of swordsmen, his whereabouts have been unknown for some time. He challenged Sora to a one-on-one duel. No one knows why he has suddenly returned. Apparently, he and Cloud have crossed paths before.

"Final Fantasy VII"

Kingdom Hearts II:

Final Fantasy VII

An unsurpassed swordsman who was once revered as a hero.

For a long time Sephiroth's whereabouts were unknown, and no one can say for sure why he has returned.

He seems to have some connection to Cloud's past.

The reason why I`m highlighting this character so much is because the Lingering Will is pretty much the soul of Terra one of the original Keyblade wielders. Who has MUCH more experienced than Sora is when it comes to wielding a Keyblade and performing magic, he pretty much has godlike skill, his versatility is also very well versed. Sora defeats Terra at the age of 16 during KH2, Terra arguably is the hardest boss in the entire game and that says a lot about how powerful he is. Terra is also the reason why Sora is a Keyblade wielder in the first place as he essentially was the one to setup the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony for Riku but as we both know that didn`t end up working out so then the Keyblade was passed on to Sora.

Kingdom Hearts II:

A mysterious man who appeared in the portal within Disney Castle.

Clad in armor, he controls the Keyblade and its power with more ease than Sora.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

A young man in training to become a Keyblade Master. He and his fellow pupils Aqua and Ventus share a healthy rivalry and strong bond of friendship.

Though he is aware of the darkness in his heart, Terra refuses to accept it—and Master Xehanort's suggestions that it might be controlled have only deepened his quandary.

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance

One of three Keyblade wielders who played a pivotal role in a historic clash more than a decade ago. Master Xehanort possessed his body, and although Aqua saved him, his heart may never find its way back where it belongs.

This same Terra was the protagonist of KH: Birth by Sleep.

You can watch Terra`s entire story unfold in order, this is a really awesome walkthrough for the character.

Sora takes on Cloud during his first visit to Olympus Coliseum and is able to defeat him. Sora being able to take Cloud when he is at his youngest and pretty much weakest (as he doesn`t get as much progress from Traverse Town to the Olympus Coliseum) is impressive. Cloud is a very skilled character and is also the enemy of Sephiroth and just like Sephiroth the notes that describe him in the Jiminy Cricket Journal reference his point of origin which is FF7.

Kingdom Hearts:

A fighter hired by Hades to compete in the Coliseum. Despite his association with Hades, his heart remains untouched by the Heartless. Cloud keeps very much to himself, which makes him something of an enigma. What is he seeking?

"Final Fantasy VII"

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories:

A swordsman hired by Hades to take out Hercules. Cloud seeks the true memories he has lost.

Were they memories of someone dear to him, or memories of his hazy past?

Kingdom Hearts II:

Final Fantasy VII

A "SOLDIER" who effortlessly wields a hefty sword. He once fought against Sora and his friends under contract with Hades.

Cloud hates letting other people see what he's thinking, so he can be an enigma to other people.

He searches for Sephiroth, hoping to settle things once and for all with his inner darkness.

Kingdom Hearts coded:

A buster sword-wielding soldier whose past failures continue to weigh on him.

Believing himself weak, Cloud sought out the secrets of a hero's strength, as well as the secrets darkness might hold. Hades tried to use these desires against him, but once Cloud realized he was being manipulated, he wisely joined forces with Sora and Hercules.

Sora faces Cloud for the second time during the Hades Paradox Cup but Cloud appears alongside Tifa, Yuffie and Leon. As shown in KH2, Cloud is wearing his FF7/Advent Children outfit now there are differences between the Cloud in Kingdom Hearts and the Cloud in Final Fantasy but there is a closeness in the character and the characteristics which is why I must showcase a point of reference for where the character originated.

VERSATILITY:

Sora has a great deal of versatility and this is what makes him OP. His power-set which is composed of his magic, summons and drive forms is what makes him an all-around powerhouse. I will first be discussing his summons in detail and then his drive forms, the topic of his magic will be touched on but I will be saving those surprises for my next response.

SUMMONS

No Caption Provided

Now Genie obviously originating from Disney`s Aladdin is probably Sora`s most powerful summon. He can fire off magical blasts and his toon force-esque nature is the aesthetic for a lot of his attacks. As shown in the KH manga and video game cutscenes he can also grant wishes just like his Aladdin counterpart.

No Caption Provided

Sora with the aid of Dumbo shrinks in size and utilizes water to force back enemies also he helps with flight and both him and Sora remain invulnerable for the time amount of time he is summoned.

No Caption Provided

Mushu when summoned launches multiple fireballs at the opponent and while he is not the most effective summon he still packs a punch.

No Caption Provided

Simba as a summon for Sora is very useful. His mode of attack is a command called Proud Roar which causes a lot of damage to nearby enemies.

No Caption Provided

When Sora summons Bambi, he will automatically drop forth multiple items based on the enemies that are defeated at the time or the amount of enemies present.

No Caption Provided

Tinker Bell is one of Sora`s more unique summons as she heals him actively whether or not damage is dealt. She never stops healing Sora and restoring him to health even when he has died, this makes her a very convenient summon.

No Caption Provided

Tinker Bell is also summoned alongside Peter Pan who offers Sora great offense when it comes to battling enemies his Never Land limit deals a sustainable amount of damage to enemies and with his magic he is able to draw enemies close to him.

No Caption Provided

With Stitch, Sora has a great defense against damage as Stitch actively deflects damage with his toon force like nature he utilizes the surface of the HUD screen and is able to assist Sora there by also attacking enemies from that angle.

No Caption Provided

Chicken Little similar to Tinker Bell heals Sora but what makes Stuart Little a little different is that heals Sora the more he lands successful hits on his enemies and he also increases Sora`s defense and launches baseballs at Sora`s enemies.

DRIVE FORMS

Valor Form
Valor Form

Now Valor Form is the first transformation that Sora experiences when it comes to his Drive forms. This form specifically places its emphasis on Sora`s attack power and his speed is also increased but at the price of letting go of his ability to perform magic in any way.

Wisdom Form
Wisdom Form

In this form Sora is able to move around smoothly and gracefully as he is also able to bombard his enemies with magical energy blasts. This form focuses more on Sora`s ability to utilize magic as it grants him quicker usage time for being able to apply magic.

Limit Form
Limit Form

Limit Form is pretty much a blast from the past in this form Sora does not only have the clothes from his KH1 appearance but he can use any of his Limit commands which he had in KH1 and use them for KH2.

Master Form
Master Form

This form is essentially a combination of Sora`s Valor and Wisdom Forms it pretty much focuses in on the aspects of magic and combat, Sora also wields two Keyblades in this form as well.

Final Form
Final Form

Sora`s most powerful form is Final Form. In this form every aspect is increase whether it be magic, strength, speed, aerial maneuverability and so on forth. Sora wields two Keyblades telekinetically and floats above the ground in this form his defense and offense is really over the top as he can perform magic and a series of attacks effectively.

Anti Form
Anti Form

One of more Sora`s unique forms is the Anti Form. Sora essentially becomes a heartless in this form, his combat maneuvering changes and his methods of attack are also different, he can manipulate darkness in this form however as strong and relentless as this form may be it still has its drawbacks.

This video serves as a fun highlight for everything I mentioned about the Drive Forms and Summons, also it showcases Sora`s Limit commands although those are more so exclusive to the Party Members at the time who are not going to be present in Sora`s fight against Thor, this video also serves as a kind of teaser for my next response when I decide to go into depth about Sora`s summons and transformations.

THE STRATEGY TO BEAT A GOD!

I will now explain how all of this information applies to the fight between Sora and Thor and I will also go over some of Sora`s magic which I will give more of an analysis on in my next response. Now I know almost everything there is to know about Thor, I read a lot of his comics (more so his modernized Marvel comics run) but I know what Silver Age Thor can do and I`ve been on MANY battles boards discussions as well as general discussions when it came to discussing Thor and where he ranks against certain characters. I actually believe Thor to be a little underestimated when it comes to his speed but I do believe that Sora will be blitzing Thor during the majority of this fight. Thor`s only advantages are durability, experience and strength while Sora`s advantages actually matter a lot more when it comes to where they count in a combat situated scenario. Sora is faster in pretty much every specific speed stat such as reflex, movement speed, aerial mobility, muscle memory, reaction time and etc. Sora also has the advantages in versatility and skill, while Thor is very skilled he doesn`t apply his skill as much as he does his strength. He`s more so a brawler who relies on his strength and Mjonir to be able to win fights, and he doesn`t fight as many skilled opponents as much as Sora does on a consistent basis. I will give a mini breakdown for each category and then conclude on both characters.

Strength - Thor`s advantage

Thor is obviously A LOT stronger than Sora is when it comes to overall physicality he has feats of busting planetoids and moons, and statements for Mjonir being able to destroy planets. Thor also has a lot more significant lifting feats than Sora does.

However, Sora`s speed and versatility cancels out this advantage, what is the point of having planetary strength when you cannot hit your opponent all too often if at all? Sora also has adept experience when it comes to fighting characters who possess a strength advantage most of Sora`s enemies possess the strength advantage yet Sora is able to beat them soundly.

Durability - Thor`s advantage

Thor is very durability as he can easily survive nukes, supernovas, attacks from the Hulk, has endured through reality warping, and has traded blows with planetary level characters.

But, Sora can bypass Thor`s durability as he can be phased by attacks from Wolverine, Hulk and Moondragon they have their methods when it comes to being able to hurt Thor. But Sora with EASE can cut through up to 6 skyscrapers and has the physical strength to knock them around while resisting gravitational pull. The Keyblade also being able to hurt immensely powerful foes like Hercules, Jafar, Sephiroth, Xemnas and other characters who are actually a lot more powerful than Thor proves it will be able to hurt Thor. Other Asgardians have also been able to hurt Thor to some degree with their enchanted weaponry but I doubt any of their weapons are on the level of the Keyblade add in Sora`s strength and speed, and he will definitely be able to wear Thor down when it comes to overall defense.

Now Sora`s durability is complicated as Sora could be argued as being a toon force character (as stated by Jmarshmallow) but the way I look at it is that Sora being a Toon like character will be able to survive things that he shouldn`t in his universe. He wears magical clothing and throughout all his games is equipped with magical items that are designed to increase his resistances and defenses. These examples act as strong evidence for Sora being a toon enforced character rather than a straight up Toon Force character as Sora is as much as a Final Fantasy character as he is a Disney one.

No Caption Provided

Similar to cartoon violence in Rated E games your not going to see a lot of blood and this correlates with Sora`s durability being the way it is in nature. Even the manga furthers this fact as it is also evidenced in the games.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

Sora along with Goofy and Donald survive a meteorite crashing into them during the time they were traveling to a different world when using their Gummi Ship.

There are stars that appear above a character`s head when they receive damage as well which indicates the toon enforced nature. With that said, I do think Sora can endure through a couple of strikes from Thor although he doesn`t have to as he can easily dodge and avoid all of his attacks or use his magic to counter Thor and Thor will be holding back against a human character like he usually does especially considering Sora is only a kid (as of KH3 he`s 18 years old).

Experience - Thor`s advantage

Thor has more experience than Sora does but that is only because of how long he has lived as an Asgardian the things Thor experiences and endures through in no way exceeds what Sora has to endure through in the entirety of his series.

Like I said, experience doesn`t matter much when it has nothing to do with their skill. Sora`s experience equals Thor`s experiences in the Marvel universe it`s just that Thor has lived longer. Sora has already faced and beaten multiple opponents who were a lot more experienced than he was and Sora is only a young little kid most of the time when he is on his adventures its only by KH3 that he begins to mature more significantly.

Skill - Sora`s advantage

Thor is skilled but not that skilled especially compared to characters like Sephiroth, Terra, Leon, Squall, Cloud Strife, Roxas and so on so forth. He`s more so a brawler like I previously mentioned and he puts more of his effort and energy on strength rather than on the application of combat he doesn`t really think his way through situations as much as Sora does.

Intelligence also plays a part in the skill advantage. Thor is not unintelligent per say but he compared to someone like Sora he is lacking a bit. Sora`s more of the critical thinker when it comes to combat and he`s faced a variety of opponents who have inspired him to think a multitude of ways when it came to countering and maneuvering around certain advantages and disadvantages.

Versatility - Sora`s advantage

Thor has a powerset but he`s not really versatile a lot of his abilities are associated with thunder manipulation. Yes Thor can control the element of lightning and use it for a variety of effects such as weather control and much more it doesn`t make him a well versed character. A lot of his more exotic abilities were exclusive to his Silver Age days abilities like time control were rare on occasion also his ability to travel through dimensions is neat but not a combat ability.

Sora has more of a powerset when it comes to overall magic, he can summon many different types of characters, transform into a lot of different magical forms, he has many magical abilities (which I haven`t gotten into yet I will talk more about that in my next post) and has a lot of equipment as well when it comes to items.

Speed - Sora`s advantage

Thor has feats like traveling at the speed of light which is more so his travel speed than his combat speed, Thor can react at supersonic speeds as well and etc. And Mjonir can travel at the speed of light but Thor himself isn`t close to lightspeed when it comes to combat.

Thor isn`t exactly slow but he just isn`t fast enough. Sora blows him out of the water when it comes to overall speed. Sora can teleport (which he utilizes in combat more so than Thor does) and he`s massively hypersonic and has light-speed reaction also he`s faced faster characters who were brute types. Thor isn`t going to be able to keep up at all against someone like Sora who is just way too resourceful when it comes to movement.

And with all this said, Thor is definitely going down to Sora in the long run. I don`t see how he can lose when he has more of the advantages that are combat applicable. He`s more versatile, he`s way more faster and skilled as well as intelligent but also he has faced Thor like characters before when it comes to manipulating the elements or having godlike strength. Thor is stronger but he won`t be able to hit Sora enough times for that advantage to be able to matter and I actually don`t think he will be able to hit Sora. Thor is durable but Sora can hurt Thor with the Keyblade as he has the strength do it and the speed to apply it, the Keyblade also hurt characters who are much more higher than Thor on the food chain. Thor`s weather manipulation can be countered by Sora`s magic, and Sora can easily dodge a godblast which takes time to charge also I doubt Thor would resort to those tactics when fighting a human kid like Sora who won`t appear as any real threat and with both being in-character I tend to see the fight going this way. Once Thor is down for the count as in he will be KOed after a very engaging battle, it is in that time that Sora will help Sonic defeat Dr. Strange and with his versatility as well as combative attributes he will prove to be an amazing ally for Sonic.

THE EXPLAINER:

Since I mentioned the topic of Kingdom Hearts and canonicity I shall elaborate on what exactly means. Now there was a good friend of mine and great debater who went by the name Jmarshmallow and he believed the characters to be the perfectly the same while I too was an avid KH fan, I disagreed with those statements. He relied too much on the context of the Disney cartoons and FF games rather than the KH context and the content it gave us. He went with the whole the creators being the ones to work on the games respectfully which I agreed with but my overall overview of it is this. The game is the first canon while the media associated with the game in particular such as the manga, novels and etc., is the second canon, the Disney movies and FF games can be made as points of reference to where the characters came from and what it means to KH. What is shown in some of the games cutscenes and within the manga supports the point of references the best and biggest example being Genie and Jafar from Aladdin.

Title Screen:

Here is an interview from Tetsuya Nomura himself the director and designer behind the Kingdom Hearts series.

http://www.khinsider.com/news/Nomura-discusses-Keyblade-Transformations-Tangled-KH3-s-ending-progress-and-more-with-Famitsu-5624

-- So immediately after KINGDOM HEARTS 3D. I definitely won’t miss out on KINGDOM HEARTS χ and KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ. The new world that contains Rapunzel’s tower has received great feedback at E3.

Nomura: The Osaka development team wants to challenge themselves with Rapunzel’s hair. They are saying they want to use her hair for combat and it seems that the creators of Rapunzel are acknowledging our efforts.

-- A Disney creator endorsed it!

Nomura: Previously, I was dealing with classic works. This time, I have adopted a relatively new work. It’s so I can directly see the people who have been involved in that series. There are many times we have exchanged words while producing it so it can be represented more accurately.

And there`s more...

Why didn't we see many Disney characters in the new game?

TN: Well, Donald and Goofy were there -- and we've announced that we're collaborating with Tangled, something we touched upon in our E3 presentation. Compared to previous titles that we folded into Kingdom Hearts, we have a lot of creators still alive. The process of gaining approvals then is pretty different. Because the animation studios are actively involved, we want to polish up anything we meet to the standards we demand, before taking it to Disney to approval. The hair of [Tangled's] Rapunzel is so unique -- we want to make sure we can realize the vision before we show it.

https://www.engadget.com/2015/06/17/kingdom-hearts-3-e3-2015/

So for the rest of the debate expect to see more of these points of reference for both Disney and Final Fantasy characters respectively.

Counters I: Three steps ahead!

I know your debating style, and you are an extremely talented debater, I like a lot of the threads that you participate in and I also do enjoy seeing your personal perspective on the character Thor in different CaVs, general discussion threads and etc., but I do disagree with a lot of the arguments that are made, before they are brought up here, I will cut the root.

Thor has a multitude of feats, at even his typical level, which show him reacting to insane levels of speed, a few of these should have context.

Thor is fast but not as fast as you are portraying him to be in personal words. In the scans dealing with Norrin, he was fighting in space which is where he is at his best when it comes to speed (travel speed) and he was serious against Silver Surfer, while Silver Surfer being the pacifist that he is was holding back considerably.

The scans dealing with Quicksilver are not that impressive. Pietro is known for being a "jobber" and he was toying with Thor.

In the scan with the Phoenix, the power really is a case by case basis as the level of power is dependent on the host at the time and its more so an abstract and abstracts are not known for their reflexes in the first place, if we are to go on a detail investigation on how these characters and their histories of feats actually work.

Thor used his travel speed to surprise Hermes, who wasn`t expecting an attack from the Thunder God so he caught him off guard and I don`t believe that Hermes has a lot of quantifiable feats unless if you were to include what was said about him in the official Greek Myths and we both know that the Marvel Hermes has no relation to that of the Hermes in Greek Mythology.

1. On that ship where Thor deflects asteroids, he's moving at around 120,000x the speed of light, possibly even more.

No he wasn`t. Thor admitted in that scan that he was having a bit of trouble with the asteroids which as shown in the scan were not even approaching speeds that were re-entry also Thor doesn`t operate at these speeds when in combat. Thor had to throw Mjonir (which operates at 2x the speed of light) to be able to destroy a huge number of them.

Thor is capable of reacting at nanosecond speeds.

Thor is fast but he`s not that fast and he doesn`t operate at these speeds unless he`s using travel speed.

Thor reacts to his hammer as it tries to kill him, deflects Hyperion-who has nanosecond fighting speeds, Silver Surfer's energy blast-the same post cosmic that blasts him across a universe in seconds-jukes Surfer hard, deflects a blitzing Sentry, reacts to Gladiator-another nanosecond fighter-and then even overwhelms him with his speed.

I disagree, in the scan dealing with Mjonir it looked like he summoned his hammer rather than straight out, out-reacted it. Hyperion is more impressive now than he was in that scan (scan looks outdated), also Hyperion may have FTL travel speed but I don`t recall any nanosecond speeds for him when in regards to combat speed. Silver Surfer like I said before was trying to talk to Thor in that fight and he wasn`t even going all out also Surfer`s travel speed is MFTL but he`s not known for his combat speed he relies on the power cosmic to perform a lot of his feats. Also, he`s not really a good fighter to begin with and against a brawling powerhouse type like Thor, he`s going down when in-character also there`s no proof that Surfer`s energy blasts were traveling at the speed of light as it is not concrete. Sentry if I`m not mistaken was unstable in his fight against Thor and he doesn`t have FTL reflexes or anything he has FTL travel speed, and Gladiator`s abilities are in correlation with his confidence so saying that he was fighting Thor at nanosecond speeds is pushing it a little bit.

Thor is even shown capable of processing the speeds of Scuttlebutt-moving hundreds of times the speed of light-and Gorr when he got blasted by King Odin lightyears away.

That has nothing to do with his consistent levels of combat speed, Thor is not the slowest character in fiction, I will admit that this statement can be a bit overplayed but it is true that he is a much slower character when compared to a lot of the other powerhouse type characters that he is put up against, and Gorr is not a speedster at all, and the fight with Gorr had context.

Now I only mention this to make a point. I`m not trying to lowball Thor at all, as I have been one of the debaters to stick up for his speed from time to time but this does give us clarification on current Thor`s levels. He`s not as impressive as his Silver Age incarnation and consistently has been outperformed by characters like Wolverine, Mongoose and so on so forth. There`s a pattern that pertains to his feats, the proof is there in regards to the showcasing of Thor`s speed, he may have a few high-ends here and there but at the center of it all or at least at the epicenter of it all he is not all too impressive especially since he is going up against a character like Sora who is VERY impressive when it comes to speed. Thor has never fought a character like Sora before but Sora has fought worse.

Here Mjolnir travels across a galaxy in about three seconds

I know of this feat and it is more so a feat for Mjonir than it is for Thor himself also Thor`s best attribute when it comes to having an argument for his speed, is his travel speed not his combat speed, he`s fast while in the air but not while on the ground.

With all the people I've debated with, the one thing I've heard repeatedly is "Thor has no combat speed"

I made a comment on this thread and I liked your overall opinion on a few things relating to Thor but I disagree with some of the things that were said as well.

Thor has combat speed but its just not that impressive when compared to other types of characters his combat speed is not his travel speed.

Also here is my comment:

And then when I show them feats against an FTL character, who clearly uses their speed against opponents of equal strength and power, they somehow magically forget to use their speed against him, as claimed by people I debate against.

I understand where you are coming from but from my understanding it is more about the character not always using the best of their feats in every comic that they are featured in. Against Silver Surfer its true that he holds back quite a lot, against Gladiator his confidence is what creates his feats for him, but against characters like Sentry and Hyperion its not enough to say that Thor has FTL reflexes, its not consistent but his low-ends for some reason are, so I would say based on just consistency alone that Thor isn`t the fastest character when it comes to reflex, reaction time and overall combat speed. He`s superhumanly fast but that`s how far it goes in regards to his feats he`s not a speed-type character, he`s a powerhouse character he engages in close quarters combat most of the time.

This is apparently a phenomenon that stretches far back into the history of Marvel comics, and perhaps a secret shared by every Thor comic writer if they are correct. This could in fact mean that Thor has the superpower to negate the speed of whoever he's fighting.

I like the idea but it is more so a theory than anything and there`s nothing that has been said in regards to confirmation from any of the Thor writers, its not a Zoom thing where everything is slowing down to his perceptions, its never been mentioned before.

I mean it must be true if every time I post a speed feat people say "They didn't use their speed against Thor" I mean it's the only wayhe could react to them on such a consistent basis. This would give him nearly a dozen feats of doing so against people he fights and mean he can ctrl+a+delete all speed.

And based on the thread, it seemed more like a joke than anything but I did take you seriously throughout the thread and I was open minded to all of your arguments. I don`t think Thor`s a slow poke but compared to most characters he just wouldn`t seem all too impressive when it comes to speed.

This is what Sora and Riku managed to do while injured and in a constant struggle with a high-tier reality warper like Xemnas. They had to react to all of his Ethereal Blades from all angles, and they did this just based on reflex alone remember Sora can also teleport while in combat and he can amp his aerial capabilities with abilities like Flowmotion, and etc.

Counters II:

I may only have basic knowledge on my opponents but I see no way they could possibly defeat Strange. The way I see it, there is a massive legion of options Strange could choose to defeat Sora and Sonic.

Sora alone will be a problem for Strange considering his experience against overly powered magic types. Sora also has A LOT of resistance when it comes to magic and while that is true, Sora shouldn`t be counted out and neither should Sonic. Also, Strange will be busy fighting Sonic while Sora will be busy fighting Thor so him being able to take on both Sora and Sonic is void.

Dr. Strange can just say "sleep" and they'd sleep:

Ventus (whose soul dwells within Sora) was able to resist Maleficent`s forever sleep spell with the assist command from that of the three magic fairies.

Sora`s clothing is magical as it was created by the combined efforts of the three magical fairies. They give him significant resistance to magic and his outfit has special powers as stated by the fairy Fauna. And as you can see they are also responsible for Sora`s Drive Forms which furthers his resistances when it comes to magic.

Evidence

"POINT OF REFERENCE"

The fairies have Maleficent`s curse turned around for Aurora`s good, instead of dying by pricking her finger on the day of her 16th birthday she will instead fall into a slumber.

Confuse:

Sora could also use Confuse to counter Strange`s sleep spell
Sora could also use Confuse to counter Strange`s sleep spell

He can just turn their blood into ice by just saying it:

This is nothing new to Sora as he has resisted much more colder temperatures before.

Strange can turn them into snowmen with a single pass:

Sora`s magical defense will prevent that from happening the characters that Strange has managed to affect don`t have any special defense against magic or at least his magic, the best example so far that was emphasized was Dormammu but even then Strange has all the knowledge in the world when it comes to knowing Dormammu and how he works, or just how to counter him.

Sora was able to revert back to normal even when turned into a giant dice by Luxord`s magic and he was still able to fight back similar to what was shown in Dragon Ball during the time that Vegito was transformed into a piece of chocolate, as despite being transformed by Buuhan`s candy beam he was still able to fight back in that state.

He can just BFR them to some random dimension with just a wave of his hand:

That`s nothing really. Sora could just use Warp on himself to teleport back or he could just summon Genie and have him return him back to the battlefield.

Warp:

And this is what Genie can do...

Genie:

Sora majority of the time during Kingdom Hearts is tossed into another dimension when he`s up against a reality warper or magic user so I don`t see how this would be anything different, so even if Sora for some reason could not escape the dimension, all it would mean is that Sora would just have to take Strange down like he does any other big boss on any other day, with the fight being in a different dimension.

He can erase their memories instantly:

Strange did that to a bunch of regular people and in that context he did it for their own good it wasn`t during a combat situation that he was able to do this. And the Kingdom Hearts series is ALL ABOUT memories as Sora does have a defense in this regard as well.

Sora went up against Zexion who like Strange is prolific when it comes to the performance of magic, he stole all of Sora`s commands, pretty much his move-set, yet Sora was able to have his abilities returned to him. And that is only one of his abilities, he can also have Sora trapped in one of his magic books, but Sora can free himself unlike Donald and Goofy, also Sora was able to take him down in his own dimension.

And that`s only one example in regards to how much resistance Sora has when it comes to these kinds of things, there`s hundreds more. But I`ll provide two more.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is literally about Sora entering Castle Oblivion only to have his memories robbed but this doesn`t stop him from fighting off a lot of the Organization 13 members that are present. Also all of the worlds that are presented in the playing experience of the game are actually made up of Sora`s memories and he is able to have his memories retrieved by the end of the game although there was context the point is that memory manipulation is the last thing that Sora should be worried about.

And if you are still not convinced, there`s KH: Re:coded, Strange`s ability to wipe people`s minds clean can`t hold a candle to what Sora has to deal with on a regular basis as he has to actually battle it out with his own memories.

So I must ask you and Strange this important question....

He could restrain them with the a mere gesture:

This wouldn`t work. Strange being able to restrain a random possessed farmer doesn`t automatically translate to him being able to effectively restrain Sora who has a lot of default defenses that are setup against magic. Sora`s been restrained before by worse opponents and has gotten through the fight till the very end. Although Xemnas did more so use his ethereal energy to drain away Sora`s vitality in the first example, it still acted as a form of restrain and while Sora did receive help from Riku in the second example, its still a showing worth showcasing.

Once more, with someone as insanely versatile as Strange who possesses countless spells, this is just a small fraction of options Strange can employ and not even half of them have been explored but this at least should be a good starting point and we can delve deeper into that as the CaV goes on. Honestly, I'd argue Strange would take this with the greatest of ease by himself so adding Thor to back him up just seems like overkill to me.

Strange is versatile but so is Sora, and even with his versatility Strange is a character widely known for his preparedness. He usually has knowledge on his opponents especially when facing his more dangerous opponents such as Dormammu, Baron Mordo, Dr. Doom, Mephisto, Shuma Gorath and so on so forth. The Sanctum Sanctorum provides him with the resources necessary to be able to know what he is going up against, but against characters like Sonic and Sora he isn`t going to win at all without prep or prior knowledge. Sora will beat Thor without too much trouble especially considering he`s in-character and there are a lot of things that I will like to address about Strange when it comes to his own character.

  1. Strange using an ice related spell to freeze Sora`s blood seems iffy to me. Strange does hold back against certain character types and I don`t think Sora would be an exception considering he`s only a kid. Dormammu is his greatest enemy so it makes sense for him to resort to such a spell.
  2. Strange using a memory wipe spell doesn`t add a whole lot of context when it comes to combat, I don`t see him using it in combat.
  3. Strange has no prior knowledge on either of these characters, so for him to use these kinds of spells right off the bat without a certain criteria or form of context being accounted for is at the very least contradictory to how he would actually react in a random encounter.

IN CONCLUSION:

  • Sora has more advantages than Thor does overall, he`s faster, smarter, the better fighter and he is also a lot more versatile.
  • Sora has faced opponents who were as powerful as Thor if not more so during his Disney/Fantasy adventures.
  • Thor is stronger than Sora and hits harder but he holds back against humans and Sora is only a kid carrying a key, Thor wouldn`t take him that seriously in-character he could be cautious of Sora but more so his own strength. Like Superman and Silver Surfer, holding back one`s true strength is a character trait that is consistent with Thor. Thor being a comic book powerhouse level character doesn`t mean he is going to be throwing around planet busting strikes.
  • Sora can easily bypass Thor`s durability with the Keyblade which is a dimensional level weapon and Sora is a lot more capable than Moondragon, Wolverine and many others when it comes to just pure strength as well as striking power. Thor has many high-end feats for blunt force damage but against piercing damage and especially piercing level damage of this potency he is going down.
  • Sora`s speed alone will give Thor massive problems as he won`t be able to tag Sora successfully or at least consistently to the point of being able to pull off a win, Sora is massively hypersonic and can teleport. He`s faster than Hulk, Wolverine, Gorr, Ghost Rider and just most of any characters that Thor has had an encounter with. Thor usually fights powerhouse characters and its because of his own strength and power that he is able to go blow to blow with them but against a powerhouse character like Sora who isn`t exactly a power type he will lose as he holds less of an advantage.
  • Thor`s not necessarily lacking when it comes to versatility in the offensive sense but in comparison to Sora he is lacking quite a bit, Sora`s magic will be able to counter a lot of Thor`s attacks, spells like Aero, Gravity, Reflect, Stop and so on so forth will be hard to counter. Thor`s ability to manipulate the weather, summon god blasts and create ruptures isn`t going to be effective against someone like Sora, and I also doubt that Thor would even resort (at the start) to these abilities when up against a human kid like Sora who he hasn`t even met.
  • Even if Thor could tag Sora, I still think Sora would be able to recover from the majority of Thor`s attacks his clothes are magical and give him protection against a lot of different things which includes the element of lightning and just any kind of magic, Sora also could just use Cure to recover from all of his injuries or he could just summon Tinker Bell and have her reverse all the damage.
  • Thor has fought over the top, top-tiers like Gorr the God Butcher, the Serpent, Mikaboshi, Deathseed Sentry, Mephisto, Odin, and etc. But Sora has fought Jafar, Ursula, Xemnas, Organization 13, Ansem, Phantom, Sephiroth, Terra, Xion, Vanitas (Roxas is Sora`s Nobody and the soul of Ventus dwells with Sora) and etc. so Sora isn`t far behind at all when it comes to experience, and his feats have less context as Thor like a lot of comic book characters comes with a lot of context in regards to the consistency in how he performs his feats.
  • Sora`s summons will give Thor a lot of trouble. He can summon Genie and have him take care of Thor or he could summon the Dream Eaters, and have Thor overwhelmed.

As for Dr. Strange...

  • Sora could easily blitz him. He`s much faster and more reactive than most of the enemies that Strange has fought in his history.
  • Dr. Strange has no history with Sora so he wouldn`t know how to react he would only believe him to be an ordinary kid. Even if Strange were to sense that Sora was special in some way, I don`t think he would go all out against a human kid he has never met.
  • Sora`s magical defenses are INSANE, he could easily deflect a lot of Strange`s spells with Reflect but even without it his magical outfit will protect him against Strange`s methods of attack.
  • Sora has also already fought many magic users such as Zexion, Jafar, Sephiroth, Spellican, Phantom, Terra, Maleficent, Ursula, and etc. Strange wouldn`t really be anything special when he is far from the strongest when it comes to the opponents that Sora has already faced.
  • Strange`s versatility will come into play but Sora`s versatility will be able to counter Strange and Sora with the help of Genie can easily have Strange defeated along with Thor. So even if you are correct about Strange being able to solo this match (which he simply can`t), Sora with Genie should be able to solo if we are to be realistic and reasonable in both of our understandings which can reach an agreement.
  • Sora is the better fighter overall as much as he is a powerhouse when it comes to utilizing magic, and he can easily outwit Strange.
  • In a lot of the scans you posted, Strange had the time to perform the spell and he did it against opponents who were caught off guard or unaware but against Sora none of those weaknesses are going to apply.
  • Sora`s Drive Forms will help him break out of Strange`s hold as well when it comes to the magic spells that are designed to ensnare Sora and they increase his resistances and defenses.
  • As powerful as Strange is, he`s a prep character that`s the most powerful attribute that he possesses. Sora fights characters that are of a similar level to the enemies that Strange battles but he does it without prior knowledge or prep, he does receive help but not in the same way Strange does.
  • Genie alone could defeat Strange, he`s above Strange when it comes to magic and his Toon Force or more so Disney magic will give him problems.
  • Strange is going to be dealing with Sonic and Sora will be fighting Thor that is how the match will go, but by all accounts Strange cannot solo.

Asura, God of Wrath!

Asura originates from Asura`s Wrath which was released February 2012, the game rose to prominence with its over the topness and with many thinking the game and its title character to be Capcom and CyberConnect2`s answer to Kratos from the popular God of War series. The game is based in eastern cultures thematically and symbolically those cultures being Hindu and Japanese/Chinese. Asura`s story begins with a war, a battle between the Eight General Guardians and the Gohma an evil force that threatens to destroy the world and everything that is good. The Gohma release a snake-like entity called the Viltra to overwhelm the Eight General Guardians but with the help of his daughter Mithra who is a priestess and who also holds great power thanks to her ability to manipulate and enhance mantra energy, with her help Asura is able to take down the Viltra and assure his comrades victory. Everything is going well up until the point where Asura is summoned to the Emperor`s throne room only to be framed for his death. It is later revealed that one of the Eight General Guardians, Deus kidnapped Asura`s daughter Mithra and killed the Emperor by doing this he believes he can save the world by utilizing Mithra`s power to conquer it. Asura is betrayed and banished to Gaea (earth pretty much) in which he is sent to Naraka (the Underworld). He is told by the Golden Spider that he was gone for quite some time, approximately 12,000 years, Asura in his journey back to Gaea begins to remember what happened and in his rage is motivated to exact his revenge but he returns to Gaea only to find out that everything has gone wrong with the Gohma controlling Gaea and the Eight General Guardians harvesting human souls to become more powerful with the manipulation of mantra energy. Deus believes that with Mithra and the harvesting of souls that there will be a "Great Rebirth" in which harvested human souls would be used to power up the Brahmastra so that it can be used to annihilate the Gohma forever along with Viltra and while this may seem like a good cause it is not as we agree with our angry-driven awesome protagonist no sacrifices should be made for this kind of cause.

Introduction into the Wrath!

The beast was born that day!

Great minds think alike and god-killers kill alike!

What were you piercing

Eyes looking at?

What was echoing

In your trembling heart?

For a long time

I did not see your smile

Only your warmth

Did not disappear

Even your smallest scars hurt more than

The gods of this earth

And that is why you will continue to destroy everything

You who stood here with nowhere else to go.

What was it for that you reached out your hand to grasp?

You are the flame that burns the world I know.

Your kindness will burn this world and char the frozen time.

You who stood here with nowhere else to go.

What was it for that you reached out your hand to grasp?

If you loose sight of that which has no end.

That which has been overlooked will surely linger on your back and make you falter.

You grasp your fist, and there is no future to hold on to.

Jump into the wheel and press forward, there is no step.

What were your clear eyes looking at?

What was echoing in your shaking heart?

A god`s soul sung in song.....

FEATS:

Now with the introduction out of the way, I think it is time to truly introduce you to the God of Wrath Asura (who is more so a demigod) I will be going through his series of feats in relation to decoding his character capabilities.

Asura:

Asura throws a Gohma ship and has it destroyed
Asura throws a Gohma ship and has it destroyed
Asura destroys Gohma ship with one strike

Asura obliterates a massive Gohma fleet ship

13:10 - 17:03

In his base form Asura along with Yashra is quickly overpowered by the Viltra but once he enters his Six-Armed Vajra Asura form he is able to easily turn the tides and defeat the planetary+ Viltra Gohma.

17:05 - 17:25

Asura tanks a full on blast from Viltra and comes out of the whole thing relatively unscathed although he does sustain some damage as he reverts back to his base form but nothing too significant.

Wyzen`s henchmen attempt to subdue Asura but by releasing his mantra energy is he able to repel them and send them flying without effort.

At the 7:27 mark, you can even see Asura impaled with several spears but he brushes it off and engages in a battle with Wyzen!

11:14

Asura tanks Deus` lightning strike and is thrown down to Naraka he reaches re-entry in the process.

If you watch ALL of this video you will understand the overpoweredness of Asura. Its confirmed by the narrator that Asura`s very own wrath is what is keeping him alive he refuses to die even when in Naraka.

2:21 - 3:46

One of Asura`s training sessions with his former teacher Augus is shown when he is tasked to take down several Impure Gohma. Asura is disciplined into reading movement, sensing his opponent`s energy and creating countermeasures in order to inspire counterattacks. Asura is a brute but that brute strength and brutality is based in a lot of things with experience being one of those things.

9:04 - 9:48

Asura utilizes Rapid Fire with great accuracy to shoot down non-stationary targets.

9:01 - 12:15

Asura takes on Augus in a 1v1 fight and is able to hold his own despite lacking experience and exponential power.

12:17 - 12:50

Asura is able to perceive Augus` insane reaction speed and tanks a hardcore headbutt and is able to keep himself conscious for a few minutes before going down.

13:28 - 15:00

Asura experiences another flashback in which he is reminded of who he is. He easily disposes of a group of fodder soldiers.

16:23 - 18:40

Asura`s wrath is definitely a great title for this game as it is displayed here and echoed much later throughout the story. As he is reminded of Deus` treachery, Asura is pushed to a point where he is motivated to move away from Naraka and its in his passion that he expresses his power. He opens up Naraka and its in this process that a level of energy reminiscent of something that is nuke level in radius is displayed.

3:20 - 4:30

Asura battles a group of Gohma Howler who have an Impurity Level of 32 (Toriko is what you are thinking right?) after one literally tears through heavily barricaded gates, a number of them follows and Asura does battle.

4:56 - 6:24

Asura defeats Captain Rasho and Purification Troops without issue.

6:56 - 7:10

Asura tanks several bombs and is able to avoid being stepped on by Major Taison.

7:21 - 7:25

Asura avoids Major Taison`s attack with impressive reaction speed and is able to knock him down casually.

7:30 - 8:30

Asura defeats Major Taison and his soldiers.

10:56 - 11:13

Wyzen while explaining the Eight Guardian Generals` ascension to the status of the Seven Deities due to mantra energy and the collection of souls (thanks to Mithra) from the humans on Gaea as well as their plan to overtake everything, is attacked by Asura.

12:15 - 12:50

Asura avoids Wyzen`s missiles point blank range and is able to out-react him, also he overcomes Wyzen with ease as he has him thrown off of the battlefield.

12:53

Wyzen reveals his Vajra form in which he is amped all around in stats and this new found power was thanks to Asura`s daughter Mithra who is immensely powerful.

2:24 - 2:48

Asura is grabbed by Wyzen and launched several miles but is able to keep himself composed.

2:54 - 3:30

Asura is able to avoid all of Wyzen`s attacks and maneuver nimbly when in movement as he continues to do battle with him midair.

3:30 - 4:58

Asura does well against Wyzen until he is knocked to the ground and Asura endures through Wyzen`s attacks. Asura in his Six-Armed form is able to overpower Wyzen to the point where he calls upon the help of his fleets.

5:06 - 6:20

Asura reacts to several missiles and with one charged blast has the fleet destroyed after weakening its defenses.

6:20 - 7:47

Asura engages in a side-scrolling styled fight in his continued fight with Wyzen and he once again demonstrates his amazing physical strength by throwing Wyzen into the air.

7:49 - 9:50

Asura launches Wyzen into space and has him defeated without issue this provokes Wyzen to a course of action. That course of action being to amp himself by activating his mantra reactor in which he ascends to a new form, his Gogen form. This is Wyzen`s most powerful form he dwarfs Gaea in size and many other planets.

10:00 - 13:20

Asura is ridiculously overpowered. He was able to overpower and overwhelm Wyzen even when he ascended to his Gogen form, he took him down with one arm and survived his attack. Notice how when he begins to remember his purpose that his level of power increases by a significant degree. Asura at this point has planetary+ destructive output.

13:25 - 14:01

Asura awakens and continues to rise up even when in a weakened state.

Wyzen was the WEAKEST of the Seven Deities and yet in comic book terms he would be a high-end high-tier character he would be considered a JLA villain on the lower end but still by definition in the big leagues.

At point 1:24 - You begin to understand once again the theme of the game it being wrath just like how with God of War it is vengeance. Asura does indeed lose to Yasha but its because of his lack of skill and combat ability but his rage is what keeps him going.

2:13 - 4:40

Asura battles Yasha his rival and friend WITHOUT HIS ARMS! All he had to rely on was his own two feet and he did pretty well against him although Yasha`s skill and fighting style is what ultimately gave him the edge.

4:46 - 7:00

Asura can keep up with Yasha`s flashy and fleshed out combat speed and is able to counter him during combat and is strong enough to stand his ground against his attacks of precision.

7:00 - 8:25

Asura after being empowered by intense emotion and amped by his anger is able to surprise Yasha by breaking his mask with a sound breaking headbutt.

8:25 - 10:30

Asura is killed again by Yasha (or more so banished) and sent to Naraka but guess what happens...

1:48 - 3:11

Asura back in Naraka is confronted by the Golden Spider who makes sure to encourage him about his quest and purpose. The Golden Spider reveals that Asura has a hidden power and is special when in comparison to the Gohma and Seven Deities.

3:20 - 4:30

Asura in his flashback demonstrates his great untapped power in recognizable fashion.

4:40 - 4:50

Asura avoids a Gohma`s attacks.

5:16 - 10:25

Asura stomps the Gohma and is about to finish it off until....

10:26 - 12:07

Augus shows up and kills the Gohma with a simple flick of his finger....

14:57 - 17:53

Asura escapes Naraka again thanks to his rage.

3:05 - 5:50

Asura emerges from Naraka and destroys a few Gohma.

6:05 - 7:15

Asura showcases his running speed.

7:24 - 11:50

Asura defeats the Gohma Squasher and is praised by the villagers but he refuses the reception.

12:05 - 19:10

Why Asura shouldn`t be messed with!

2:57 - 4:35

Asura`s running and jumping abilities are amazing. Also his ability to engage in combat when in flight is very impressive as previously shown.

6:00 - 6:57

Asura destroys another major fleet.

7:00 - 8:00

Asura tanks a fully charged and launched blast from a space fleet, point blank range! And he comes out unscathed. Also the energy draws upon soul energy pretty much the many souls they have harnessed from humans across Gaea which ranges in the millions+.

8:25 - 10:00

Defeats several enemies and destroys barricade.

12:00 - 13:25

Defeats Taison Nyudo.

14:00 - 19:00

Asura blazes through all enemies and barriers even to Kalrow`s surprise he couldn`t believe that Asura was able to destroy his fleet with so much ease.

19:00 - 21:50

Asura tanks a massive explosion that engulfs an entire fleet and tanks another explosion when crushing Kalrow and his space pod, Asura was also able to reach Kalrow in seconds despite him having a head start.

10:30 - 15:40

More cool stuff.

2:00 - 2:50

Asura and Augus do battle on the moon during for a final fight, Asura tanks a well placed punch from Augus and we both know how strong Augus could be.

2:56 - 4:28

Asura continues to do battle with Augus and is able to temporarily keep him on his toes throughout the fight.

4:28 - 5:44

Asura overpowers Augus and gets him to go all out Kenpachi style.

6:08 - 13:40

Asura is able to resist Augus` great strength and survives being impaled and propelled downwards, he is impaled in the stomach and his entire body is slammed against the crust of Gaea, Asura also entered re-entry level when this happened and thanks to his anger once again was he able to outdo Augus and have him defeated. THERE`S EVEN A BIG CRATER FROM ALL THE CRAZY IMPACT!

1:56 - 3:26

Asura breaks out of his deathly state a few days after the explosion.

5:20 - 11:34

Asura without his arms (again LOL) is able to defeat armies of enemies and survive over a hundred missiles and he was in a weaker state when this occurred.

11:23 - 18:50

After being heavily amped by his anger due to seeing his new friend die, Asura transforms into his Berserk form and he goes from being the Hulk on steroids to being a transcendent/high-herald level character his power is so great that it can be felt from Gaea all the way to space and notice how the earth is being covered with Asura`s energy he unleashes blazes of energy that threaten Olga and her fleet!!!!

The Narrator confirms that in his Berserk form, Asura has gained enough power to rival Brahmastra (power source and cannon from the beginning of the game) and it took the Seven Deities 12,000 years to gain such power with the Brahmastra.

1:57 - 5:09

Yasha goes onto elaborate and it leads to a rebellion, Olga was desperate to defeat Asura with the Brahmastra and its mantra energy.

15:20 - 16:20

Asura tanks a blast from the Brahmastra.

17:20 - 17:30

Continued.

16:00 - 16:34

Asura survived the attack but was reduced to his Wrath form he destroys a fleet in the blink of an eye and kills Sergei.

2:00 - 14: 50

As more of the mystery unravels so does the character capabilities of both Yasha and Asura in their prolonged battle. Asura in his Wrath form proved to be too much for Yasha initially as he questioned how Asura was able to become so powerful but after awakening his own inner potential due to his fight with Asura, Yasha is able to subdue him although Asura was decaying slowly due to his uncontrollable power.

2:16 - 5:06

Asura looks into himself understanding his own uncontrollable and unrelenting anger and proves why he is a demigod/god.

10:00 - 16:10

Asura and Yasha take on Deus.

16:10 - 24:00

Continued.

1:20 - 8:06

Continued.

8:06 - 19:21

Deus defeated.

3:00 - 25:30

Asura and Yasha defeat Viltra.

2:00 - 6:11

It is revealed that the Golden Spider all along was the one pulling the string, the god of the Asura`s Wrath universe Chakravartin the one to control all mantra in the universe. Asura all along was being guided to fulfill a purpose angered to find out the truth, Asura attempts to attack Chakravartin but is blocked and launched backwards.

7:10 - 7:23

Asura deflects Chakravartin`s energy spheres.

7:23 - 11:51

More impressive feats for Asura.

11:51 - 21:46

Continued.

14:45 - 17:40

Asura gains the heart of the Karma Fortress that has over seven trillion souls worth of Mantra thanks to Yasha.....Asura`s wrath is so great that it cannot be contained so the seven mantra have to be utilized as a way to concentrate Asura`s wrath. And Asura also possesses the pride of the seven deities.

0:34 - 20:31

Asura vs Yasha final fight.

4:00 - 5:51

Asura tanks Chakravartin`s planet busting attack (absolute minimum) and ascends to his Destructor Form.

6:46 - 11:53

Asura in his Destructor Form is able to take on Chakravartin in his ascended state and in this state, Chakravartin`s size dwarfs galaxies. Asura depowers Chakravartin and reduces him to his base form.

11:53 - 16:25

Base Asura vs Base Chakravartin.

16:35 - 25:50

Continued.

25:57 - 53:10

Asura battles Chakravartin who ascends to his Creator form, Chakravartin demonstrates time manipulation at 28:10, and confirms he created the world at point 28:25. Asura bests him and his reality warping and proceeds to defeat him.

Asura`s Forms:

Asura has multiple forms and with each form he grows in power there`s a scale to Asura`s power level when it comes to order however Asura`s greatest power is very own mantra ability Wrath just like the Hulk the angrier he gets the stronger he gets only he`s more A LOT more powerful than the Hulk all-around even in base form his wrath is much greater. Now I will be going into the order of Asura`s forms and I will elaborate on the least to greatest aspect.

Six-Armed Vajra Asura
Six-Armed Vajra Asura

In this form, Asura gains four new arms and is granted amazing strength as well as power. He was able to defeat the Viltra and have it retreat. Also, in this form he was able to defeat Wyzen during the time he was at his most powerful.

Berserk Asura
Berserk Asura

This form specifically was unleashed during the time Asura witnesses the death of a new friend, an unnamed girl who in appearance resembles his very own daughter. Asura with phenomenal rage ascends to this form and defeats entire fleets as well as airships with absolute ease. He was so powerful that he was able to subdue an entire armada and was able to rival the Brahmastra itself which by Yahsha`s own words took trillions of souls to power over a course of thousands of years it was supposed to be the ultimate weapon yet Asura was able to compete with its power and surpass it in capability in a short amount of time. Asura also is able to tank a fully developed blast from the Brahmastra`s cannons while in this form.

Wrath Asura
Wrath Asura

Asura in this unique form is able to take on Yasha and overwhelm him in combat despite his skill and the fact that he was able to defeat Asura soundly before. This form comes as a result of the Brahmastra`s attack that left him destroyed this form however comes with a major flaw it causes Asura to decay due to him not being able to control the wrath building up inside of him. But even in this form, Asura was able to give Chakravartin some trouble when attempting to rescue his daughter Mithra.

Mantra Asura
Mantra Asura

Asura after absorbing mantra energy from the Viltra thanks to his daughter Mithra, Asura attains a massive increase in power in which all of his rage is focused into mantra energy in this form he was able to put an end to the Viltra alongside Yasha.

Asura, The Destructor
Asura, The Destructor

Asura with the Mantra Reactor which harnesses Asura`s mantra affinity which is wrath with all the other seven deities mantra affinities and energies is Asura able to ascend to something that is beyond transcendence. In his fight with Chakravartin which spans all of space was able to destroy solar systems, stars and giant planets with ease and he overpowers him briefly in this form as well.

Asura
Asura

Ironically his most powerful form is his BASE FORM what really matters regardless of the transformation Asura undergoes is his rage and the mantra energy that he is accumulating due to the ascension of his own abstract anger. Asura defeated Chakravartin when he was at his most powerful within his own dimension with just his two arms and being at base as Chakravartin reduced him to his base form.

More info...

Asura`s anger and power level explained by Kazuhiro Tsuchiya.

Bobby Tunick marketing manager/director for this game even goes on to talk about the sheer scale and scope. He confirms Wyzen outgrew a planet and his finger is the size of Tennessee.

The following dialogue happens in-game and explains the Chakravartin quite well in simpler terms.

"You have done well to come this far. Who am I? I am the true God, the embodiment of the wheel of life, the spinner of all Mantra. I hold everything in the palm of my hand. I bestowed the power of Mantra on you, and I unleashed the Gohma upon the world to test you. And you have proved yourself worthy by overcoming these trials. That is why you are here. You may go now, back to the wheel of life. You have exceeded my expectations and are worthy of my praise. Hmm? You wish to remain in this world? You are no longer needed here. But, if you insist..." --Spoken line at the ending of Episode 18; disguised as ???

"I am the true God, the embodiment of the wheel of life, the Spinner of all Mantra. At last, you have passed my trials, Redeemer Asura. You have defeated the will of the planet and proved yourself worthy."--Congratulating Asura for his victory over the Gohma

"I am the guide of all beings. The one who bestowed Mantra upon your ancestors. I had the planet's will give birth to Vlitra and scattered the Gohma around this world to test you. All to shape you into a suitable vessel. The one who controls the planet is the one fit to guide it" --To Asura about his plan and his orchestration of the conflict on Gaea

"I am Chakravartin. It is I who keeps the wheels of this planet in motion...Now give me your hand, Redeemer Asura. Receive the Mantra's power and with it create a new world order!"--Beseeching Asura to take up his position as the ruler of Gaea

"Everything is as I have intended it." --To Yasha

"Knowing the differences in power between us will also lead you to true understanding"--To Asura and Yasha

"Another failure. In that case, I shall bring an end to this world and begin it anew. Just as I have always done. I will eventually rebuild this world. Until then, enjoy the rest of your lives. It matters not to me what you do." --To himself after defeating Asura and Yasha

"You are the Redeemer. You must become the god of this world!" --To Asura

It must! You will accept your fate...If you do not, this world will come to an end!" --To Asura; response to, "Not everything bends to your will!"

"The suffering this world has seen was all to choose my heir! And the one who overcomes my trials shall be the Redeemer of this world!"--To Asura

The following gives more credence to the character of the game and the title character Asura.

Interview with Hiroshi Matsuyama.

GC: What was the initial pitch for the game and how would you describe it to someone that has not seen it in action yet?

HM:As the title of the game suggests, it is all about rage. Since the initial pitch of the game, the main focus has been about Asura in impossible situations, making impossible comebacks as a result of never-ending rage from the injustice he is exposed to. The most important element of the game is immersing yourself to the story and playing to experience what Asura is going through, and feel your own wrath through Asuraâs story.

Batman avoids Azrael`s attack at close range while his back is turned and then he disarms him as he also has him rendered unconscious with a single punch

Batman doesn`t sustain any damage when he hits solid ground during his descent from the Batwing from such a ridiculous height also the speed he was going at didn`t make it anymore safer although gliding does play it`s part the fact that Batman did not sustain any damage or discomfort from this great fall is very impressive.

Batman`s stealth is yet again proven here. He manages to rescue several doctors and guards (its normal procedure) from armed gunmen and he uses the environment to his advantage while in the process of constantly analyzing his situation and digging deep into the details in regards to the course of action that he needs to take.

Batman rescues several hostages who are being held captive by Harley Quinn in a church and this furthers my factual point about Bruce`s detective/analytical abilities. Batman knew that attacking armed gunmen at point blank range wasn`t a good idea so he resorted to using his handy smoke pellets so that he could stay hidden and its with great patience that Batman is able to take down each, and every one of the armed thugs without making any significant sounds.

Batman`s cowl is a high-tech miracle of engineering. Aside from preserving his identity and providing protection, its prototype computer systems, years ahead of anything in civilian use, continuously analyze visual data and log items to aid Batman in forensic investigations. Detective Mode allows Batman to filter this information in order to isolate evidence and forensic trails, and develop tactical analysis on a situation.

During Detective Mode enemies are also analyzed to gauge their threat level depending on what items they have.

This info directly stems from the Batman Arkham Asylum game manual.

Killer Croc is in tuned with his overall environment and senses he picks up on scent that is signature to different individuals which was emphasized in his patient interviews and even during when he first saw Batman. He can tear through people like their tissue paper and leave no traces of them behind for the police to follow.

As you can see, Killer Croc remembers Batman`s scent and this is later showcased throughout their battle later on during the events of the game.

Poison Ivy can release poisonous spores throughout the air, polluting it, her spores are so potent and so powerful that they can reach up to hundreds of people and have them killed.

At point 9:08, Ivy due to Titan is supercharged in her ability to grow and manipulate plants, at point 9:59 you can see a poisonous spore kill an inmate.

Poison Ivy even when AT HER VERY MOST POWERFUL could not put the dark knight down for good. She was releasing poisonous spores and gases (her spores kill inmates as shown throughout the game) yet Batman survives through it all and has Poison Ivy defeated thanks to his Explosive Gel.

Batman with Detective Mode is able to take down Zsasz before he can even react.

Batman was quick enough to throw a Batarang and have Zsasz knocked out in an instant before he could kill Dr. Young.

24:24 - Scarecrow`s Fear Toxin drives everyone insane and has them lose their minds completely.

At point 11:28, Scarecrow is in fear of Batman see how the tables turn? He wonders why his toxins are not working despite Batman`s constant exposure to them, noting that his toxins are powerful enough to drive ten men insane yet Batman could handle the effects fine. Batman also had to clear out several fodder including a few titan monsters during the time in which this hallucination took place.

5:22

Skip to point 15:38, Batman avoids Ivy`s plants and is able to survive the assault despite the closed in space.

1:26 - As you can see Titan monsters are superhuman in nature yet to someone like Batman they are consistently considered as fodder like any other standard opponent that Batman faces. The Titan monster tore through steel like it was paper and its landing created quite the stir.

Batman tanks a self contained but big explosion point blank range and is able to get back up on his two feet without issue.

If you skip to point 7:23 you can see Batman`s willpower as OP as its ever been onscreen. Even while in a heavily weakened and fatigue state, Batman is able to jump in Gordon`s way, and save him from Joker`s dart which would`ve had him become a Titan monster, Batman is able to resist its effects, and fight Joker back, Batman is like a godlike character within the Arkham series.

This same dart that was fired off by Joker instantly has two inmates transform into two hulking Titan monsters so considering that Batman was able to resist these effects for the first time while in a very low state is more than just impressive, its impossible!

Literally at the beginning of Arkham City, Batman (as Bruce Wayne) is being tortured for hours by Hugo Strange and his Tyger guards. Bruce was able to react to a Tyger guard while on the floor and while in handcuffs, he subdues him with no issue however another Tyger guard arrives, and has Bruce`s head smashed into a monitor yet Bruce remains conscious despite the brutality of the assault. Bruce without his gear or armor, and while restrained in handcuffs is able to casually take down several inmates.

At point 14:13, Batman tanks a baseball bat to the face and is barely phased once he awakens from unconsciousness although that was mostly attributed to Joker`s gas. Joker has his blood transferred to Batman and Joker`s blood contains Titan, the side-effects are poisonous and dangerous in nature and throughout the ENTIRE ARKHAM CITY EXPERIENCE, Batman has Joker`s blood inside of system weakening him. Batman recovers from a great fall as well during the time Joker has him pushed off of the rooftop.

Skip to 4:19, Batman doesn`t take too much time to recover from a great fall and right after he has a prolonged fight with the zombie powerhouse Solomon Grundy. Batman resists his grip and is able to overcome him with his beatdown techniques afterwards during the time in which he is weakened by the electrical surges.

At 15:47, you can see Bruce`s endurance expressed in that very scene where his vitals begin to raise and his body begins to weaken, Bruce gets right back up and continues his mission to locate Ra`s Al Ghul.

3:37 - Batman coughs up blood but seconds later he gets back up on his two feet and goes on ahead in his journey he also takes on a few LoA ninjas without too much trouble.

9:53 - Batman`s indomitable willpower is indeed immovable! Batman literally resists death when at death`s door he sees a vision of his parents and refuses to embrace them.

This alone proves Batman`s skill, worth and survivability which sometimes I believe to be his superpower. He endures through and escapes the Demon Trials in this realm that`s taking place within his mind as much it is reality, he finds several of Ra`s al Ghul`s sand creatures and a single touch from the environment would kill him this is where Bruce`s mind is at.

Batman after taking on several inmates, Titan monsters and the Joker (who was really Clayface) was struck down by falling debris yet he survives although he would later need Catwoman`s help when it came to having the debris moved.

6:11 - Batman is able to avoid multiple dynamite bombs going off and survives a great fall in which he lands right on his knees all the way from top level to ground level. This is also a great showcase for Batman`s skill and overall technique, with Talia`s sword he is able to fight his way through Clayface`s spawn and has Clayface defeated.

Batman even when constrained by Ivy`s planets, seconds after frees himself from their grasp and that would take quite a bit of strength to do...

9:49 - Batman`s tactical and strategic genius comes into play at this point as shown when he confronts several of Scarecrow`s henchmen.

11:45 - Batman upgrades his suit from the previous model (since Arkham City) to the Batsuit V8.03. Its layered with titanium from inside and out, it has more shock absorption and responds positively to impact also it allows for Batman to be more flexible. Also allows for Batman to take out multiple enemies all once which would include armed enemy types.

13:30 - Batman is a force to be reckoned with. Batman sees everything in slow motion once he performs the Fear Multi-Takedown and even the hostage that he rescues comments on how fast Batman was in regards to clearing the room that was filled with armed gunmen.

12:35 - Batman activates the Batmobile from a distance neutralizing several armed targets.

1:00 - Batman faces off against several ninja fodder and has them disposed of.

10:47

Joker`s blood still lives inside Batman`s system and its toxic in nature Bruce has to live with this reality AGAIN during the events of Arkham Knight and he is exposed to the Scarecrow`s toxin.

8:56 - Bruce even with a bullet to his side is able to get up and fight several of the Arkham Knight`s henchmen.

0:42

3:20

7:30, Scarecrow`s cloud burst is a city wide fear toxin that instantly drives everyone insane except for Batman he was able to resist the effects long enough to reach Scarecrow also this on top of the fear gas that has been subjected to his body`s systems.

Batman`s willpower and endurance is not normal he can go for hours upon hours fighting with a toxin coursing through his veins, fighting hundreds of heavily armed individuals and also having to navigate throughout Gotham City in one whole single night.

4:42 - Notice how the ninja like enemies fade in and out of movement they have blitzing capabilities yet Batman treats several of them like fodder also Batman out reacts Jason Todd and vanishes in an instant this also further showcases Batman`s talent in stealth.

Continued

The epitome of what makes Batman so much more better than a regular peak human.

27:13 - Jason`s stealth is showcased here he sneaked into Scarecrow`s base of operations without being detected and shot the handgun out of Scarecrow`s hand before he could pull the trigger.

Batman takes on Professor Pyg`s test subjects who are completely numb and don`t feel pain he takes them all down along with Professor Pyg notice how he catches the butcher knives the moment that they are thrown he does so during combat.

4:58 - Batman is able to save Lucius and have Thomas Elliot disarmed in an instant before he could get a shot off this highlights Batman`s great patience and timing during a stressful situation. Also its a great demonstration of strength he literally smashes Hush into the desk casually destroying it.

Batman blitzes Deathstroke in a couple of seconds and has him pinned to the floor helpless. BATMAN LITERALLY ONE SHOTTED DEATHSTROKE. This overall boss fight was underwhelming but this feat that was fully realized as factual throughout this scene is underrated this version of Slade is superior to the Arkham Origins version considering he`s been training and preparing himself ever since he lost to Batman in their first encounter this goes with the theme of the game in terms of what Rocksteady intended in regards to Batman being at his absolute best.

Kingdom Hearts

No Caption Provided

You see that glowing blue heart in the sky? That`s Kingdom Hearts just as the namesake implies, it is by truth, fact and reality the main desire for all the villains throughout the entire series, it is essentially the HEART OF ALL WORLDS! Pretty much all planets and it grants the wielder fantastic powers...All types of hearts which include hearts of anger, compassion, love, hate, envy and everything else possible is what makes up Kingdom Hearts this would include the many planets within the series as well such as the Disney worlds and so on so forth as the worlds themselves have a heart. There are many ways to go about explaining the whole thing but the Lore is the easiest way to go, villains who have absorbed the KH have demonstrated great reality warping abilities.

As you can see millions of hearts are being absorbed into the Kingdom Hearts!

There have been many attempts at creating Kingdom Hearts the most biggest attempt being Organization 13`s plans which have been alive since the very beginning they wanted to create the Kingdom Hearts so that they could truly exist as they don`t have hearts due to being Nobodies. And it`s during the events of Kingdom Hearts 2 that they use Sora as a means of collecting hearts as the Keyblade releases the hearts from the heartless that Sora takes down.

Yen Sid also talks about Kingdom Hearts and the Keyblade as well as X-blade. The X-blade being the original weapon to lead to the "true Kingdom Hearts" which is where all worlds are unified.

You see all these worlds? They all have a heart and even fodder like the Heartless can be considered as being "planet busters" if you will. The Heartless is another motivation for Sora and his gang as they travel to different worlds on the Gummi Ship and the heartless which are born from the darkness in people`s hearts go around devouring the core of different worlds. King Mickey himself explains how these worlds are pretty much the stars that are shown in the sky and this extends to Birth by Sleep, the Heartless have been destroying worlds.

Tetsuya Nomura`s own words further this:

-- In this title, the dark influence of the Heartless isn't breaking down the walls between worlds, so in this period before Gummi Ships, why are Donald and Goofy able to travel to the Mysterious Tower?

Nomura: You can think of it as being thanks to Yen Sid, and also because the Mysterious Tower is a loophole world in the first place, so it comes under slightly different rules than the ones that connect the other worlds. By the way, when Donald and Goofy visit the Mysterious Tower in "KHII", they say "Isn't this tower strange!" even though they know it from "KH BbS". This is because the floors are constructed differently to the previous time they visited, which is strange (laughs).

Xemnas leader of the Organizaiton 13 went from a mid-tier reality warper who could create a small reality and manipulate matter to a multi-dimensional threat who could warp reality on a LARGE scale and this was after absorbing Kingdom Hearts (although at the time due to Ansem the Wise` efforts, the Kingdom Hearts was corrupted as he caused for it to lose a lot of hearts).

New Debate

I. To the Readers, Voters and Debaters =D

Since I will be representing Yugi a character mostly associated with and remembered from the card game called Yugi-Oh. I want to get these misconceptions out of the way in a small and very clear manner.

The duel cards that are seen via Kaiba and Pegasus`s dueling systems are indeed holograms but they are based on REAL Egyptian monsters and magic from Ancient Egypt they all were fabricated around real Stone Tablets that is where Pegasus drew his inspiration from and then he created the card game Yugi-Oh so every card that Yugi has within his deck can and will come to life as he too like Pegasus possesses a Millennium Item which is called the Millennium Puzzle it utilizes Shadow Magic from the Shadow Games.

A dimension/universe created by the Dark Lord Necrophades who is the main antagonist of the entire series. With this magic the cards come to life and when the plot allows it these cards will be real. Spirit monsters and etc. also originate in origin from Atlantis as they were known to be "Duel Spirits" this all goes back to the Waking the Dragons arc (in the anime). They are real creatures and can do real battle this is a common thematic thread that is present within every Yugi-Oh series but those who have watched the series, read the databooks and read the manga will know what I am talking about I can go on and on about this whole thing but the following evidence will suffice:

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5Gallery image 6Gallery image 7Gallery image 8Gallery image 9Gallery image 10
Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

These are manga references but there are also the anime references:

14:00 - 14:40 - Showcases Yugi`s transformation into Yami Yugi thanks to the Millennium Puzzle and in seconds he defeats Kaiba`s henchmen in which full grown adults are knocked out.

14:42 - 15:20 - Yami Yugi explains that this is a "this game will be different from all others" in which Kaiba at first mocks him but is later surprised to see the monsters and game field come to life this all takes place within a Penalty Game which is a pretty much a Shadow Game.

I CAN LITERALLY WRITE A ESSAY ON THE MATTER. Because I am very passionate when it comes to these interesting interwoven ideas that manage to derail the message from the series. The series taught the fact that "it was more than just a card game", worlds, dimensions and entire realities risked being destroyed because of this card game that traces back thousands of years, and the trading card game really does cause confusion for this idea however there is no need for me to continue the main picture and main argument has been put forth so I`ll leave it at here.....

Also, there`s the Duel Terminals and Master Guide books for anybody that is interested in Yugi-Oh Lore......

II. What to Expect from Yugi vs Ben 10

Unlike Yugi`s opponent Ben Tennyson, his series has been pulled from Youtube in regards to videos which limits my resources so I will be drawing from anime websites (that are watchable and easily accessible), DailyMotion and etc. I will not only be limited to Youtube so my post will be formatted to fit within the context of gifs, website links and so on so forth.

So expect a gif:

And of course expect a manga scan:

I wanted to elaborate on this because it`s only fair to let the audience know in regards to what is to be expected from such a debate in which a use of resource is tested. There are still some episodes on Youtube but a lot of them have been removed due to obvious copyright issues and I think it would be better for me to also highlight Season 0 which is such an underrated Yugi-Oh series. I see it as the "behind the scenes look and director`s cut" of the main Yugi-Oh Duel Monsters series fortunately for me and for you, Yugi-Oh Season 0 is very popular on Youtube :)

Which means I can draw from a lot of Yugi-Oh Season 0 material and have it brought to the forefront within this awesome debate.

Now with all that out of the way we can move to the introductions!

The King of Games!

No Caption Provided

Now we all know Yugi-Oh as the story of a young boy named Yugi Muto who ends up solving an ancient 3000/5000 year old artifact (depending on the anime or the manga) called the Millennium Puzzle. Once this occured he became the host to an ancient spirit named Atem who was a great Pharoah and Protector of Egypt. The two of them go on adventures together saving the world from many threats and also by winning the Duel Monsters card game around the world.

The following video brings the story to life:

1.

2.

Now your probably wondering what was NeonGameWave`s experience with Yugi-Oh? Well like most it originated with the anime and the trading card game I had a deck of full very rare cards also I had one of the guide books so I was never short on Yugi-Oh related content. I always enjoyed the Lore and over the years have come to understand the story so much more things I never would of expected were to be expected as I kept exploring. Sometimes I think Yugi-Oh could be my favorite anime/manga series of all time with Saint Seiya and DBZ rivaling it.

Since now we had the chance to get to know about Yugi and Yami Yugi/Atem, let`s get to know him in person!

Debate Response

I agree that Daimon isn't nearly as strong as Kratos is physical, I don't agree that Kratos has the superior damage output, but I think I will get to that in one of the other sections. Staying strictly to speed here, Daimon should have much trouble keeping up with Kratos who from what you've shown isn't as fast as you would like one to believe. You illustrate how Kratos isn't dependent on speed, but you seem to be pushing for to be. Most of Kratos attacks have to do with range, not him actually being fast to go, and blitz each target multiple times. If that were the case he wouldn't have had trouble with someone like Hermes who was speeding around the whole battlefield. AOE attacks isn't something Kratos can only do, Daimon can quite literally do the same thing using his hellfire. I would say the son of Satan's is even better due to the effects of his attacks.

Based on what was shown for both I definitely think Kratos will also take the lead in the damage out department. What was shown for Daimon was more so concentrations of hell-fire centralized attacks that are directed at the soul (Kratos has dealt with attacks that were designed to directly target his very being multiple times) and Kratos also has the advantage when it comes to striking strength. The problem is while I did clarify and confirm that speed isn`t Kratos` most astronomical aspect I never did say that he was to be underestimated because of it. Kratos is faster than Daimon and I have discovered new feats for him that paint the picture, and put the pieces together so that everything can be put into perspective. He doesn`t depend on speed but he does attribute his superhuman advancement in speed during combat and that isn`t exactly true. Kratos does have a GREAT deal of ranged abilities as he alsodoes know how to overpower or overwhelm his opponents but he does for the most part still utilize his speed it isn`t an attribute that he`s totally forgotten about. There`s no need for him to blitz his opponents the point is that he manuevers around them and keeps them off-track its his skill-set that sets off his speed when he`s going all out he`s more skilled than Daimon is and the art of war is apart of his aesthetics. You are incorrect, Kratos had no problem when it came to catching up to Hermes he didn`t neccessarily have to be as fast he just needed to think as fast in order to keep ground with him in combat he outlasted him and defeated him also his attacks were still quite effective also using Hermes as an example isn`t exactly complimentary to the sourcing and reasoning of your argument for Daimon considering he isn`t as fast as Hermes based on what was indicated and identified also you forget Kratos` god form that mutiplies his damage output by quite a bit also like I already stated, Daimon`s attacks don`t work the same way its more about concentration so the comparison is void and Kratos could easily avoid that attack by either outright dodging or guarding.

I would also like to throw out that Daimon was toying with Venom, it's quite evidently shown throughout the fight by how he speaks with him, casually having conversations, and barely exerting himself throughout the fight. It's pretty unfair to use that occurance to say Daimon isn't that fast, because Kratos's has in game mechanics, so he is controlled by the player meaning he doesn't really have to get tagged unless the player messes up. The fact that most of his opponents aren't even speedsters aside from Hermes, and a couple of others, I would think his speed is being blown out of proportions a bit. For you to state that his speed isn't comparable to Thor's isn't right too, because we all know Thor has more showings that show his speed isn't special, than it is.

This is a fact that I have agreed with but it doesn`t invalidate the intentions of my original arguments. Daimon as shown wasn`t expecting to be overwhelmed and he to a degree got carried away with an opponent like Kratos that can cost him. Its more so unfair to label Kratos` consistent character capabilities as game-mechanics just because he`s a video game character when comic book characters suffer from having multiple authors and based on average on-panel showings they can even vary from being Hell Lords to street level threats backed by plot in the grand scheme of things so depending on how Daimon is reguarly written we can only assume his powers and abilities as are authorial application. Kratos has shown what his feats are worth within that of cutscenes and even me as the player controlling Kratos furthers what isbeing shown by the developers is that Kratos at his best is going to succeed in defeating the enemy that the player also has to control also his opponents don`t have to be speedsters when has Daimon reguarly fought with speedsters that mattered? I think your misunderstanding the meaning of my message, what I mean is that Kratos like Thor in the regard of speed is looked down upon as someone who loses his fights because of having a lack of speed which I have already proven won`t be the case within this matchup.

This is what I meant by in game mechanics making him look faster than he actually is. The falling objects are moving slow so the player can actually play the game. Had they been moving fast, it would be much harder. I think, no I know Kratos is quite agile, but for him to be fast enough to the point things are moving slow isn't consistent or shown throughout his games aside from when the player has to press buttons to make him evade, jump, or slash opponents.

So your basically saying that the developers, concept artists, programmers, story-board writers and game directors are just throwing in onscreen showings for the sake of game mechanics? They know what Kratos` is capable of it would be different if there were to be a contradiction even in GOW II and GOW III, Kratos is shown reacting to objects and enemies in slow motion, and both games had two different distinct game directors. I`m pretty sure a Kratos at his peak can move at those speeds considering he`s already a demigod and gods throughout the GOW series have shown time and time again that their much faster than regular humans also with the Boots of Hermes I don`t see why its even hard to grasp the fact that Kratos does in fact have the ability and capability to move at those perceptions he`s already superhuman all-around. And those are the basics every other speed related feat I have to show for Kratos supports the idea that he can move at those speeds. Also me being player (who has played ALL the GOW games) can attest to the fact that what was displayed by the developers is true, I believe as I play that Kratos is very much capable of what is being shown throughout the games.

Was it ever stated that Cronos's hand was travelling at those speeds? I think that's an assumption at most, and judging by his size, not really possible unless he has enhanced speed.

Enhanced reaction wouldn`t be a lie in any regard when in referring to characters within the GOW series but the point is the estimation, and the fact that Kratos can react to Cronos mid-battle its more about what is being indicated than what is being stretched by the imagination the numbers are there to make things clearer in a conventional sense.

As of now, we can say Kratos is faster Daimon, but nothing has been shown to prove that he out-speeds him drastically to the point Daimon has little to no way of countering or keeping up with him.

I don`t think he drastically outperforms Daimon but I think the fact that he has the edge in speed, AoE AND skill says that speed might just make all the difference during battle however I don`t see how Daimon would be able to properly counter Kratos` immense strength, versatility and endurance his attacks are more linear when it comes to hell-fire, and magic manipulation, offensive-wise his tactics as well as manuevers aren`t going to give the edge over someone like Kratos, it makes sense why those basic abilities would work in a comic book setting though.

I already conceited that Kratos was faster, but I do want to bring up the same option I did with Thor above. Kratos can move through the earth to attack Kratos, something he doesn't really an option for unless he sprouts out of the ground. As for Daimon's bullet reaction feats, you're right it isn't comparable to reacting to lightning, but he has a method to allow him to tag Kratos. That method is to simply bring forth clones of himself to help Spawn out, help fight Thor, and Kratos. This should help against against the speed disadvantage because there are more to counter most of the blows.

Here`s the problem though with that strategy. By doing that Daimon is actually making himself susceptible to Kratos` AoE type attacks. Also, Kratos with Atlas Quake alone can counter that flow of movement also by doing that you made it easier for both Kratos and Thor in the sense that Kratos can unlock an armada of his own via his summons. Through the Souls and Army of Hades, Kratos can summon many intangible souls to the fight and overwhelm both Daimon along with his clones also how durable are they? Are they as powerful as the original? Because Kratos can end them with Poseidon`s Rage if they decide to get too close. Kratos` summons can help both Thor and himself also he can summon spirits with the Claws of Hades adding to the reinforcements. So Daimon is definitely not beating Kratos when it comes to the taking command scenario. Also, your probably thinking I`m ending this paragraph that easily nope. Kratoa yet again summon another group of allies which take the form of cursed souls via the Barbarian Hammer.

Multiple Daimons without the trident should cover this nicely. He can make many upon many of them.

Kratos can summon more and his summons are also much more diverse. While Daimon`s clone creation ability is a neat trick it isn`t winning him the fight in the slightest.

That's cool, and all but Kratos can do so himself with his trident. He can quite literally make magma flow out the earth, and shake it causing it to shift breaking apart. In fact it's far more impressive than what Kratos is doing there.

Nothing in that scan was really impressive to be honest and Kratos has tanked a volcanic explosion that was powerful enough to sink Atlantis. Also, I wouldn`t say its far more impressive only that its far more flashier than what Kratos showed but it doesn`t make it the all more effective for combat purposes.

Pretty darn strong.

I agree :)

That's actually pretty cool, but I think if Daimon is at least 10 meters away, he should be fully capable of avoiding it. I believe he can even use it to his own advantage by simply teleporting Kratos in hellfire to Thor's location where the attack would strike his own partner. Seeing as how it will be instant, Thor would either have to tank it or simply hurt his partner in order to stop it from hitting him. Either way, one of you're going to get hurt.

While that is a viable counter for Daimon it can`t be used as an absolute method for avoidance. Daimon eventually will have to get in close to deal any real damage to Kratos and that`s when the unexpected happens as he is caught off guard and off balance by the range of this attacks also Kratos could always connect with another attack if Daimon decides to go on the offensive. Well Daimon is going to have to tag Kratos first before that could even take place also Kratos can redirect attacks as well so if Daimon decided to launch an all out assault with hell-fire, Kratos could redirect it with the Golden Fleece.

By the way this isn't very important, but he can change the clothing of who he teleported in his hellfire.

He`s going to have to tag Kratos with the hellfire first and based on what`s been shown it probably isn`t happening.

It would affect Daimon if it hit, but his hellfire shielding should be able to prevent this.

That could work but Daimon can only keep his shields up for so long against Kratos` magical firepower. Kratos could even use that as an oppurtunity to strike with the Blade of Olympus.

That's pretty hard to do anything against, but seeing as how it looks to only be able to stop time for a few seconds, Daimon should be capable of avoiding it at the last second depending on the distance.

That`s an assumption at best. Considering the fact that he wouldn`t even see it coming, all Kratos has to do is point at the target also Kratos could even blind him with the Head of Helios and this will give him the chance to impale him with the Blade of Olympus.

You are aware that Daimon controls a portion of hell. He's a hell lord just like Pluto, Hela, Mephisto, ect. That is more than enough to show his power, I don't see why Kratos being a different character means anything as his powers and abilities aren't anything Daimon couldn't handle. The only difference is the different types of attacks Kratos has, the overall power of them shouldn't be something too much for him to handle. Based off what you've shown, I don't see anything over the top (other than the time stop), which is something I don't see being a huge factor. This is because it is only for about a few seconds from what I've seen.

I`m fully aware but that won`t mean much for this fight. It means a lot considering the usual tactics and feat characteristics that are shown within his comics won`t apply the same way as they usually do when up against a composite video game character like Kratos. Kratos is more versatile and less one-dimensional than the usual enemies that Daimon goes up against, I guess characters like Mephisto as powerful as he is potrayed to be in his peak moments wouldn`t have trouble with a character like Dante (who is different than the characters he usually demonstrates feats in accordance to) he`s a Hell Lord who had an overrated fight with Galactus, was inconsistently written to stomp Norrin, but he also loses to GR in his own realm. Dante`s character would be written to be more powerful in a comic book now in regards to Daimon vs Kratos while Daimon may have word of mouth in regards to fighting other Hell Lords and being mentioned in the same sentence with so on and so forth it doesn`t mean he can apply the same variables within the same equation when the mechanics are less linear than the typical comic style variables, Kratos still despite Daimon`s comic book character status, outclasses him in strength, versatility and more. I haven`t even gotten into most of Kratos` abilities and from you have shown, Daimon`s hell fire isn`t even going to be enough for someone like Kratos who has too many ways in which he can methodize a counter. Kratos doesn`t have to be over the top to win he just needs to rise to the occasion and I already addressed the Amulet of Uroborus.

I'm aware that in physicality, Kratos is much stronger than Daimon, but I've already stated that he isn't a character who relies on strength, not to mention he has a trident which makes up for it as it's a piercing weapon. Everything else Daimon has ways around as shown, Kratos isn't the only one who's versatile either, the demon man is versatile too.

The same can be said for my speed argument for Kratos although he still does have the advantage over Daimon in that regard. Kratos isn`t only stronger he`s also more versatile and his endurance works more to his advantage, Daimon is versatile but not as much as Kratos when it comes to combat what you showed for Daimon in terms of magic, cloning, enhancement and etc, Kratos can already do but he can do it better and he can do more.

He has mystical senses, and abilities which could help him detect that Kratos has divine weapons.

With Goku and Silver Surfer I can understand but I don`t see how sensing Kratos` energies or weaponry assortment is going to do him any good if he can`t counter or professionally prepare for it.

He can put people to sleep. What's stopping him from putting Kratos to sleep if he proves too much?

In the scan you provided there`s nothing indicating that he put anyone to sleep only that he was removing a demonic presence it was more so an exorcism than it was hypnosis. Also is there any other evidence that evaluates that as being fact in regards to him being able to put someone as powerful as Kratos to sleep? Also, it wouldn`t work when Kratos has the power of Hope a power that reawakened him when he was dead at the hands of Zeus.

He can even fight on the astral plane, something only Thor could do. I don't see what Kratos could do against him here. He could take Kratos there, what exactly can he do on that plane of existence?

By those scans it looked more like Daimon was forced into the astral plane than the other way around either way you are still incorrect. Kratos has fought in different dimensions, he`s fought within his own mind and he`s fought astral spirits multiple times so he would still be able to harm Daimon.

He can also travel through his trident. He was stuck in another area, and was capable of traveling through his trident to reach it.

Cool but Kratos is used to fighting in different dimensions or planes of existence so it isn`t something new to him and I don`t see how it gives Daimon an advantage I addressed this when responding to Candence` claims about Spawn being able to quickly overwhelm Thor and Kratos in his shadow dimension which was much more clearly shown and not as context heavy as what is being presented for Daimon.

The astral plane could help him in a couple of ways.

  1. He could go to that plane of existence to prepare an attack
  2. He could send Kratos there, where he could easily take him out
  3. If his trident is knocked out of his hand or he's simply away from it for some reason, he can reach it quickly
  4. He can have his trident placed behind Kratos, and then travel to it which would allow him to gain a sneak attack

1. Kratos isn`t going to let him and he`ll probably be engaged in a battle with Thor before that tactic can fully develop so that the actions may take place also Thor can cross through dimensions as well.

2. Nothing supported that as being such and most of what you`ve shown dealt with entities being summoned and then sent back from whence they came also is it a common tactic because Daimon`s seals would make more sense consistently since its more in-character for him but either way it wouldn`t give him an advantage over Kratos considering Zeus, Ares, The Sisters of Fate and more have been responsible for Kratos` experiences in dealing with the traversal of different dimensions.

3. Which won`t mean much for somone like Kratos who could just summon the armies of hades to overwhelm Daimon, use Cronos` Rage to keep him in place, Poseidon`s Rage would keep him occupied by quite a lot and even though he can utilize his abilities without his trident he has admitted that it requires a considerable amount of focus.

4. Lol, this sounds kind of like what Pollux and Castor attemped in Ascension they could levitate, utilize magic, shift their staff, control time, create magical shields or barriers around themselves just like Daimon could and Kratos was able to overcome them at a weaker point in his god killing career also Kratos` AoE attacks will prevent that from happening. Now I`m not saying that they were as powerful as Daimon Hellstrom but the fact that Kratos beat them and took what they had to offer says that his experience will be non-expendable when up against Hellstrom.

Kratos isn't one for playing fair, he doesn't care how he wins even if it results in him loosing his own life. To be fair this was against his father's army, and he despised his father more than anything at the time, wanting to put a stop to him, but I believe if it comes to it he could do the same thing here.

That is partially true but there are fights that demonstrate that as being the complete opposite and it`s more within the basis of his goal to have revenge when he`s fighting against Daimon he`s going to be going all out just to survive he`s a survivor at the end of the day motivated by vegeance. That doesn`t indicate much in regards to Kratos vs Daimon though.

So I very well think you're wrong with the versatility advantage. He may be more versatile, but it isn't much if most of the attacks can be avoided or stopped.

I`m confident in saying that I am indeed correct, Kratos has more powers, more abilities and his power-set as well as move-set is much more elaborate while Daimon`s are more basic as well as straightforward also nothing which has been shown so far has proven that to being fact. Kratos` AoE attacks alone will be a massive problem and Kratos has Daimon beat in skill, strength and speed along with already have the advantage in versatility it should be switched around. Kratos based on what I`ve shown can avoid, prevent and outright counter Daimon`s methods of attack also he`s strong enough to endure through them.

The blade is powerful I'll give you that, but I haven't seen anything from it to prove that it's planetary in power. Nothing in the GOW universe is of that level. That seems more as your own beliefs due to it belonging to Zeus, the most powerful god himself. Daimon's trident is incredibly powerful too though, as Daimon's father Satan said it rivaled his own power, and he's a being who's up there with Mephisto. If you don't believe he's that powerful, Satan was capable of fighting off Mikaboshi for a bit, which is a feat in itself.

Its powerful enough to kill Daimon on the spot and there`s enough evidence pointing to that as being fact. Its planetary in nature not only was forged by Zeus` power derived from the heaves and the earth (quite literally) but Zeus confirmed that he could remake the entire world also beings like the Primordials go above and beyond when it comes to just planetary power, also Atlas is actually planetary as confirmed by the minds behind GOW (if you need proof I can provide it). And you haven`t actually countered my arguments in regards to why it wouldn`t be planetary in power also the sword has Kratos` god powers fused into it as well so it`s definitely going to be enough to swiftly take down Daimon without too much trouble. That doesn`t explain or say much, I could show why Mephisto isn`t as powerful as many think, Hell Lords vary in power after all also Daimon`s trident isn`t as strong as the BoO when it comes to striking power and damage output its arguably more useful in magical incantation and enchantment also while that is impressive I`m pretty sure there was context to it as the scans show the opposite. He couldn`t even compare to the Chaos King even after being empowered he couldn`t take on Mikaboshi also the one wielding the trident is inferior to the one wielding the BoO, in other words Daimon isn`t powerful enough to take on Kratos despite his trident being able to rival his father but the BoO has proven to being much more powerful than gods, titans and etc also it`s more powerful than Kratos` father.

I believe I've stated numerous amount of times that Daimon wasn't going close to all out. He mostly wished to speak to Thompson, and was taking everything for a joke. As for him having much more trouble with Kratos, yes I believe so, but you do have to remember that Kratos is mostly a close quarters combatant, something that wouldn't work well against Daimon who can literally set the surrounding area around him with hellfire.

I`m aware and I agreed to the fact that he wasn`t going all out when up against Agent Venom I was merely making a point and stating my case for Kratos. That`s true to some regard but Kratos does mix it up a bit before getting up and personal to deliver the final blow he will and does enforce his more ranged abilities also remember Kratos has many ways in which he can guard against it he has the Army of Sparta, Poseidon of Hades, Divine Reckoning and Kratos can definitely tank Daimon`s hell fire.

You, and Parker seem to be looking too much into this showing, but Daimon was healed up at the end of the fight because of his healing factor, something neither of your team has. Due to his heritage he could lose large amounts of blood, and get up as if nothing happened.

Not really considering my point was that the basis, the smallest, the lowest and the beginning of what is shown for Daimon still pales in comparison to Kratos` basis, smallest and lowest in his beginning. I`m comparing feat for feat so its apples and apples within the application of argumentation and countering. While he did heal, it doesn`t mean Kratos or Thor can`t outdamage and overwhelm his healing factor with far more potent and destructive attacks also their durability makes up for it and Kratos` versatility as I already explain gives him the further edge when it comes to both the offensive and the defensive, due to Kratos and Thor`s godhood they can sustain far more damage and walk away like nothing ever happened.

Hellstrom may be overconfident, and talkative at times, but that's never really hindered him too much. I don't see how he's a weak link seeing as how he has some of the most impressive feats here. Though that seems to be an opinion in all honesty.

He could get carried away during the fight and underestimate his opponents who he has no knowledge of so it can prove to be a big deal. He`s impressive in his own right but not impressive to the point in which he can win against either Thor or Kratos everything you presented so far I have successfully countered and in the grand scheme of things since it`s team based, I see Thor and Kratos working off of each other in the long-term far better than Daimon and Spawn they`ll probably just end up semi-supporting each other and doing their own thing.

You do realize that having insane superhuman strength doesn't mean you win right? Just because he has a clear physical strength advantage, doesn't mean he takes the win here. Having his trident imbued with hellfire with be able to compassionate for that advantage, and it's not as if Kratos hasn't been challenged by anyone who doesn't have similar levels of strength. Some demons Daimon fights have superior physicals to him (his father being one), yet he hasn't had as much trouble as you make it seem, and before you say they aren't Kratos. Those guys have magical properties, which means they can amplify their sizes, and power overall.

I didn`t say that it would translate to being a factor that spells auto-win only that it will be a big enough factor to edge Kratos the overall victory considering the huge gap and the fact that Kratos could easily overpower Daimon during combat. The problem with Daimon is what I have been saying all along he`s powerful for a typical comic book character but he doesn`t match up to a video game character like Kratos, hell fire manipulation and traveling through dimensions is cool but when it comes down to it in regards to combat he`s outnumbered in the arena and area of advantages to the point in which his feats become invalid since Kratos has many ways in which he can counter or avoid his attacks (in other words you can`t apply comic book ABC logic that relates to who beat who, character statements and etc, and expect to win) and I would like to see how those foes are superior in strength, while that is cool it doesn`t make Daimon as strong or any more stronger than Kratos because I could say that Kratos has faced characters far larger and stronger than Daimon but he also has faced characters almost just like Daimon so the experience factor is what is being more indicated rather than just strength.

You do realize that you're the one debating whether Kratos is stronger than Hellstrom or not, right? I didn't state anywhere that he was stronger, so this isn't something that needs to be addressed. I already made it clear that Hellstrom is the physically weakest being here.

I`m aware and I think I have proven why he is A LOT stronger than Hellstrom. I know, I was only making a point about the emphasization in regards to Daimon`s strength no matter how you slice it he can`t compete or even compare to either Thor or Kratos also Kratos` feats are setup in a way in which I can delve directly into the categories of striking strength and that is still a factor considering Kratos does a lot with his strength besides lifting things which characters like Superman are debated for when pitted against characters like Goku and etc.

Those characters may have had similar abilities, and more, but it doesn't necessarily mean they were as powerful. I've went, and also countered most of your posts, and showed why some of the powers aren't needed. Also about kratos becoming more bigger, and such, that is a bad call on your part. It will only show Hellstrom how dangerous he is and force him to bring Kratos down to hell. This will increase his stats, and make him much more powerful.

I agree but Kratos has faced enough of those enemy types to the point in which he can come prepared for Daimon in an all-out duel while the same can`t be said for Daimon. Are you sure about that? Because I could easily put that argument in reverse, by Daimon doing that he would only gain Thor`s attention (who shouldn`t have too much trouble with Spawn in the long run and neither would Kratos), and then it would be two against one in which I don`t see Daimon winning also Kratos could just launch a series of AoE attacks that Daimon can`t counter so it isn`t going to be instantenously convenient in regards to the idea of Daimon transporting Kratos to his domain.

This is how powerful he becomes in hell, where he's in his own realm. Firstly, it's going to extremely hard to put him down. A broken spine is nothing to him as he literally comes back from it as if nothing happened.

When and where did his spine break out of curiousity? Because I`m looking through the entire scan and I`m searching for the context that counts. I doubt Daimon would come back from being decapitated or obliterated which Kratos is more than capable of. Kratos is most likely going to rip him in two or the following:

He was capable of easily bending Monica Rambeau's light beam, which also shows speed cause he was able to redirect it.

Well...I think your overplaying the on-panel context more than you even know. All Daimon needed to do is use magic to redirect the attack it`s not like he reacted to it like Dante did in DMC1 this feat is more like what Loki did in the classic days of Marvel comics. Kratos has an actual feat when in facing Helios (who is literally the sun) which is much more impressive also Daimon wouldn`t be able to counter Kratos` summons or AoE attacks an example being the Atlas Quake.

He was easily able to block Hellcat a trained fighter's strikes with casual movements.

Not impressive, Kratos` fight with his brother Deimos and his fights during his spartan training sessions is far more impressive combat-wise.

If Kratos tries to leave, Damion could easily bring him back there too. I don't see how he could leave however, because he has no means of teleporting out of there. He would need Thor's assistance, and he will have his own troubles with Spawn.

While I do think Daimon can accomplish this there are a few variables I would like to mention:

  • Kratos wouldn`t just stand still and allow Daimon to easily tag him with his hellfire so that he could be teleported to his realm.
  • Kratos is written in a way (consistently) in which he`s portrayed as being able to beat the odds and escape death he escaped many dimensions, realms, planes and etc.
  • I don`t see how it would be a problem when Kratos has godlike experience when it comes to just battling it out with enemies in their own realm and overcoming the odds to beat them also he has the endurance to evaluate that as being fact.
  • Like I said it would only attract attention from Thor so he would also journey to Daimon`s realm to assist Kratos and Spawn won`t be too much of a problem as I have already pointed out.
  • This could act as a disadvantage for Daimon considering it would only amplify his pride as much as it would his power and he would further underestimate Kratos, and Thor no matter how powerful he may perceive them to be.
