This is more of a thread just for you guys, as well as myself, to rant about just how horrible some of the comic book movies have been recently. While we do get greats like Dark Knight and the Iron Man movies, we also get horrible adaptations like Wanted and most recently Jonah Hex.
I'm a big Hex fan, weird right?, and it was shocking to me how badly they messed up the character. I mean they basically made him like the Ghost Rider of the old West. What would have been so wrong about just having a classic Western movie with Jonah as the main character?
I hear bad things about the upcoming Green Lantern movie too. First of all, its written by some of the guys that wrote on Smallville, so that should give you pause right there. But I have a few friends that worked on the props for the movie, and one of the designs for the actual Lantern aka the Power Battery, that the Lanterns use was a Teardrop shape as opposed to the classic Green Lantern power battery us fans have come to know and love. So consider this a shout thread. Vent your frustrations about the various movies that they messed up. Talk about what you think they changed that worked, and what they changed that was just ridiculous. What was the best comic movie adaptation?(in my opinion you can't get a better panel for panel adaptation than Sin City) What was the worst? (Jonah Hex, Catwoman, The Spirit, Wanted.. Wolverine, the list goes on and on)
