@bloodynights: "quotes are often times completely misleading" That's true if someone focusing more on the problems and less on the answers. You can find answer for every question, that related with the series.

Gotenks is a character like that with reason. It wasn't a quote you mentioned, but it was proven to be wrong(his opinion that he can defeat buu), so what's misleading about it, feat-wise? He couldn't beat him and Piccolo warmed him too. He was an annoying immature kid. That's the purpose of his character.

The realistic and the superhero is two different thing. I think you meant street level superheros. It's depend on who people find entertaining and why. There could be many reasons for that, not only one or two.

If you can relate to some street levelers, that's not necessary because you have the human genes too. It could be the character's personality.

@mypasswordis1234: Dodging every attack in the middle of a crowded city? Taking the attacks limits the damage. It's why Superman tanks more than dodges because it'll keep the people he's trying to protect from dying from errant blows. As for the Quicksilver thing, Bendis wanted Pietro to brag about his speed so he didn't have Thor instantly smack him down. That's PIS.

Thor has FTL combat reflexes. He's even shown them off in the current God of Thunder series while fighting Gorr the God-Butcher. So stop bringing up databooks like they mean anything since they're constantly proven wrong in the actual comics.

As a lesson, I'm about to flip your argument around on you and show how foolish it is:

Goku from DragonBall is a 100+ tonner, right? Widely accepted, yes? Well, by your "logic", the fact that he struggled with 40 tons in base form in the Otherworld, even though he had 100+ ton feats before then like picking up Giant Piccolo Damiao and kicking Frieza through two islands *before* going SS, would discredit him being 100+ ton in strength in base. One or two low-end showings(especially against characters that have a ludicrous plot shield like Cap or Wolverine) every now and then doesn't discredit many years of ridiculous high-ends. Thor has fought numerous FTLers and displayed FTL feats in both travel AND combat along with having his absolute equal, Beta Ray Bill, show the same things. You don't want to believe that when it's laid out in the comic, then keep on enjoying being woefully ignorant.

It doesn't make any sense. Just look at the scans above you posted. When he use that lighting BFR hit. Does that look like he gave a *** about the damage of city when he was in danger? I know what you saying, I saw a scan once when a character told this exact line and when superman told that in the cartoon. Two character. Not every single character, in the entire dc and marvel. You making a lot of unnecessary PIS/CIS possibilities here. Dodging a plain physical punch would made less area effect than connect to the punch with their body, but even if not. He could just block every attack with his hand, not with face and such.

"stop bringing up databooks like they mean anything" If it doesn't mean anything then why do you think they write it? Of course they doesn't keep it fresh and new, always for the most current events, but it can be true for older versions.

FTL reflex still doesn't prove he could catch even Pietro, and doesn't contradict with the databook.

"Goku from DragonBall is a 100+ tonner, right? Widely accepted, yes?" For me, yes, but don't ask the same on animevice, you will be called fanboy for even supposing it he 100+ tonner, lol.

"Well, by your "logic"" I using the same logic as you, I am just on the opposite viewpoint. ONE or TWO high level feat not define an entire character if there are more lower level feats than high. By lower level feat I mean feat that contradict with the higher one. I saw Thor respect threads and he not even close to FTL combatant. He wasn't even have 1 feat for this title. A shunpo user should outspeed him like Pietro. The databook just confirms it.

His lightning attack was aimed upward. The shockwave looked like it encompassed a block at the most. If they were clashing ground-level, the damage would've been much more severe. As for those last two sentences, that's why we call it PIS. A slugfest between two brutes looks better on-page than one guy catching a fist or dodging. It's a very common occurrence in comics that happens due to the whims of the writer and/or the editor of the book.

Because it's something to hook new readers? Condensing character histories, stats, and power-sets so that you can at least have a working knowledge of whichever character catches your eye and makes you want to pick up their book(s)? It's a pretty simple concept. Doesn't mean that it's more useful than the primary canon which is the comics themselves.

Yes it does. Thor just chose hit the ground to stop him instead of hitting him since he wasn't trying to kill Quicksilver.

Pffffffffffffft... AV is nothing. I've been over there for years.

No you aren't. You're deliberately low-balling Thor using two instances of him being written horribly to prop up Captain America and Wolverine and flat out ignoring Thor's history of fighting and beating far faster opponents. It's nowhere close to the same argument and that was the entire point of my Goku example.

Still, he could BFR him out of the city, THEN attack him like that, and the city wouldn't damaged. I know it's for the sake of plot. but it's consistent. I just tell that he doesn't care the city damage as much as you say, like, blocking hits with his body. It was ONE quote, and wasn't against a purely physical punches, IIRC.

Then why would they lie to the new readers? It's made from the primary canon.

FTL reflex, as he can fly FTL in the space, could mean he see as fast moving objects, but he doesn't necessary have the blitzing/burst speed like Pietro. And he never showed such thing, at least a few months or years ago when I watched Thor respect thread. But he showed that he doesn't have the burst speed, even if his reflex is MFTL.

I am not ignoring, those was an example which only support what I told, and what the secondary cannon did sum up. Why don't you write about those feats?

He had to go all out like that just to remove Nul from the battlefield. If he didn't they'd have stayed there and kept brawling until one dropped.

It's not a lie, it's an INTRODUCTION. This is not a hard concept to grasp.

False. If his reflexes didn't match his speed, then he'd be running into things when traveling or not be able to counter an opponent's moves while fighting, both of which he's actually shown more than once.

I've given you examples including one of his most recent fights.

That's okay and reasonable. Though it was one occasion. What about the rest? When they don't even fight in a city? This is not a real question, I still just wanted to point out, if there is a way to don't make the marvel's stories FULL OF PIS, then you should choose that, especially if a secondary source either confirms it or states it right there.

Then how could it be wrong or meaningless? Just because they not updating it every week or month, to base it to the most current feats?

I told the opposite. I told that even if he has the reflex that need for FTL traveling in space, that's not necessary mean he has burst speed like Pietro. Hulk showed super fast running speed. Colossnaut showed too. Those are still not burst speed, blitzing speed, like Pietro, or SHUNPO. The most simple way to put: HE ISN'T A SPEEDSTER-type character. I don't even ask you to prove it because you can't, and this is what the databook confirms too, and the respect threads I saw.

You gave me your statement that "he has ftl reflex feat". See, I nowhere denied it, but you didn't even mention the feat itself, as how do you know he showed ftl reflex.

It's true that Omega is the omega, the most ultimate character in db, both by feats and power scaling. Even SSJ4 Gogeta failed to kill him.

Omega has the best feat, he would have destroy the entire universe, including the god's dimension too, but not in an instant and Gogeta reverted the progress.

Syn Shenron was almost as strong as fully powered SSJ4 Goku already, but he absorbed the other dragons too, including 4th star dragon who was around equal to SSJ4 Goku too. The ice dragon who was the brother of 4th star dragon. Each dragon had a special ability, and he got all of those with their powers. Some depressing dirt or what, freezing, burning, shocking, regenerating, I don't remember all. Omega Shenron is on a ridiculously higher level than EoS DBZ SSJ3 Goku or ultimate Gohan, who fought against Bills in the movie.

Calculating that how much times he stronger than base GT Goku, would be very long(and speculated), so I wont.

Scaling Bills' power is also impossible. But he is stronger than SSJ Vegito for sure, and the pure hearted saiyajins when combined their power, it wasn't meaningless against Bills. So combining Gohan, Vegeta, Goku, could be already stronger than SSJ Vegito, yet it would be useless to attack Bills like that. SSJG is stronger than Vegito and than combined-ki Goku who could be stronger than Vegito as well. And as it was mentioned before, SSJG is 6 while Bills is 10 in Toriyama's scale.

If someone could calculate the multiplier of SSJG Goku and Omega Shenron, good luck for that, but still Bills have the advantage of more advanced ki, his godly ki.

And Bills highest feat is beat OS's feat. Bills could destroy a galaxy in an instant, only because he upset(no upper limit added). That's a better feat than Broly, and better feat than a slow omniversal destruction.

So anyway, Bills should win, but not necessary stomp.

@mypasswordis1234: Concession accepted. It was nice destroying you.

See?

Unlike you I care about the discussing itself. While you care about trolling.

I modified the original quote to suit you.

"Dealing with trolls is like playing chess with a pigeon...
No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon will just knock over all the pieces, take a shit on the chess board, and strut around like it's the winner."

Congratulation for your "destroy", dear pigeon.

It's not about the character, it's about who debate against/for a character.

If someone stubborn enough it could be turn out to be a bad debate even with TOAA against Spiderman, if the person decide to don't accept TOAA's powers, or TOAA against Living Tribunal, if the person decide to refuse official statements for his own opinion.
