Most Overrated Live-Action Characters

Pretty much the most overrated live-action characters from the MCU, DCEU, CW and Fox universes on the Battle Forums in no particular order.

Note: This is only talking about characters in terms of feats, just because someone happened to make it onto the list doesn't mean I hate them as a character, thank you in advance for your understanding.

List items

  • DCEU: I don't even need to say anything here. Everyone who's anyone on the Battle Forums knows how overwanked this guy is.

  • MCU: Talk about hype over substance. He phased a few Ultron Bots with his density manipulation and now suddenly everyone thinks he can one shot anyone by doing it! Completely ignoring the nature or context of how density manipulation even works in the first place. Oh yeah, and the Mind Stone on his head is just magically the best projectile ever. Doesn't matter that it's feats are actually WEAKER than the ones from other high tier it's an Infinity Stone so that automatically makes it better.

  • CW: She might as well be a planet buster according to her fanboys. Take your pick on what ridiculous claim they're stand by. Her reflexes are apparently faster than light, she has uncountable amounts of lifting strength feats inaccurately correlated to striking strength, absolute zero freeze breathe, heat vision hotter than the sun, and all of this nonsense backed up by the most nebulous/out of context fan calcs you'll ever come across. Then it gets even worse that every CW Kryptonian gets scaled to her and wanked accordingly. Every thread involving them becomes cancer because of this

  • MCU: Apparently beating up a few fodder gangsters means Daredevil is literally the greatest, most badass, most strongest, most durable street leveler that Comic Book media has even known. Let's just all conveniently ignore all of the times he's gotten his ass kicked by an inexperienced Punisher, was hurt by a wounded Wilson Fisk, and the multiple times been beaten into submission by the previously mentioned fodder more times than can even be counted. Fanboys have even tried to peg him against Captain America, seriously?

  • CW: He is Comic Vine Phasing wank personified. Every time this guy (or any Speedster for that matter) gets pitted against someone on the Battle Forums there are endless amounts of users who swear up and down the halls how apparently Flash can just phase kill them no matter what. Phasing ignores durability bro! Phasing ignores logic bro! Phasing ignores NLFs bro! It's not just that though, his fanboys cherry pick inconsistencies and use broken logic constantly to try and make Flash seem like he's FTL or that his Speed Force lightning is even close to high tier.

  • DCEU: Her sword cut Doomsday's arm off, so therefor it can cut through literally anyone and anything apparently. Oh yeah, and don't forget her speed. It doesn't matter if her opponent outranks Diana exponentially in everything else, if she can run faster than them it bypasses everything! Her gauntlets can also literally block any projectile or attack. Not that she needs it considering she'll get up and smile no matter what ends up hitting her. She shrugged off hits from The One Above... err, I mean Doomsday.

  • MCU: In Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. he healed from punches and bullet wounds, therefor nothing can hurt him. He also managed to consume regular humans with his parasites, therefor he can consume anyone with his parasites! Please conveniently forget his experience against the Kree Reepers were neither of those mentioned NLFs proved to be valid in any conceivable manner, or the instance where Lash was able to almost kill him with his mid-tier heat based attacks.

  • CW: As discussed above Speedsters in general are frustrating, but Savitar is a special type of wanked even compared to them. The people don't even seem to understand the in-universe rationale that Savitar lost a ton of his speed after Wally broke him out of the Speed Force and his early feats and invisibility are not applicable in regular battles! Then there's that tidbit about his armor being a Luttinger Liquid which, with zero scientific evidence, now means it's indestructible because Comic Vine logic or something. All of this plus regular speedster stuff makes threads with him quite irritating.

  • FOX: It pains me to add him to this list (even though I did acknowledge these listings had nothing to do with how much I liked/disliked a character), but Wolverine after Logan has been getting kind of overwanked lately. People seem to be forgetting his claws at best were able to cut through steel and only sometimes hurt low to, at best, mid tier fighters like the Juggernaut. Those in no way give him feats that would let him hurt the likes of Hulk or Thor. His healing factor too doesn't protect from knockouts or incapacitations that plenty of opponents are more than powerful to dish out to him. I get that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was amazing, but let's not forget his power set is very well into the low tier category.

  • MCU: Uhhh, did we watch the same movie in July? I can't understand how people are seriously arguing Peter could beat the likes of Deathstroke or the Black Panther when he was barely able to survive against a glass cannon like Shocker. Or how he actively got stomped by the Vulture and owned by Team Cap in Civil War, and all the times in the movie he struggled to use his own super strength to get stuff done. Just because the other live-action Spider-Mans were powerful and the movie was good does not excuse these lackluster feats. I like Spidey as much as the next guy, but Peter is a young kid with a lot to learn about his powers and no feats to show he can rumble with even the low level Avengers quite yet.
