To this day I find myself still quoting from this show"
"My watched has stopped"
"Dat don't get much bedda dan dis"
"who are you trying to convince, me or yourslef?"
The first episode I watched was the one with Colossus and Juggernaut a week later I gazed upon a comic in the local stationary store entitiled X-Men with Archangel and Psylocke battling Shinobi Shaw, 19 years later still hooked...

Wizard was my only source of good comic news in the 90's early oo's
have felt it was not the same recently has it has lost a lot of weight through the years but strangely grew taller. Wonder what will be next..comic books themselves da da daaaaaa.

Total stoner sidebar: what'll happen if we have a Skyne moment down the line and all digital goes whack? something to munch on about...

I thought Buffy Season 8 was entertaining and stretched the buffyverse to interesting avenues, of course the final issue was great and it's nice to go back to "the roots"... and San Francisco (one day I will live there)

I'm on the fence about the X-Men Origins movie, call me old school but first school but classic X-Men origin was the original 5 for me.. but being the open guy I am I will keep my mind...er..open on that one. But don't expect me to jump when the Marvel Movie Universe thingy comes out with a series....
Cant wait for the New Batman Tom Hardy is a hottie, so everyone will have eye candy this round..
thanx 4 da weekly update Babzzzzzzzzzz.  everyone have a great weeeekk

I read that the ramifications of this alternate universe will connect to the "normal' verse, but the question I'm asking is  how did it happen?
Sure it began with humans getting the first punch but we knew Legion Quest brought about Age Of Apocalypse but what "started" Age Of X? did someone go back in time or is it something different? so many: ????

I know the purple burning guy is Sunspot but it would have been a nice surprise if it was Nightcrawler sans tail, wonder what happened to Northstar? okay this waiting is killing me..

PS: The "pre-lude" in X-Men Legacy #244  was eery, having Blindfold investigating some bad joo joo she's feeling, just when you think its an octopus from another dimension
she's like "mah bad, its something else"  eek!

Azazel and Angel Salvadore..... um last I checked they had nothing to do with origin of the X-Men?
and Havok???? and Emma Frost!!! dont get it!!! NUTHING MAKES SENSE!!!

I get they have to change the story or as I call it "Hollywood-enize" but this is a bit off the beaten track, I take it this is a movie thats directed at the Movie fans than Comic fans, trying to gather more followers to the Marvel Universe Print thing. Of course the comic fans wont mind tho coz they added Emmas boobs to the cast as well.

well we'll see what happens: my guess A Magneto/Moira/Xavier love triangle, something with Azazel and Mistique = Nightcrawler, Emma, Hovok and Angel are the sassy characters with witty quippy one liners and Beast the tortured mutant (to bring that element of this is still about "being born different" aspect).

Thats just a guesstimation on my part I hope it will be more layered than that, more X-Men1&2 than X-Men3... but we'll see.

Haven't read the former comments but on the budget side they could look at how "Smallville" managed it in the beginning, on terms of fantastical origins, if scripted well could be easliy handled.

I'm sure it must be a "studio reason" as to why it did'nt make it I mean by having David E Kelly on board already ups the anti and with the success of Smallville (10 seasons) how can it not be possible??

And if its coz she's a woman then humanity just took 10000 steps back in evolution..

With Ultimate Marvel and the dreaded Movie Universe thing up ahead, alternate stories are just diluted nowadays, although I am definatly intrigued by Age of X and eager to read.

In the end its up to story telling and if the writer has the chops to pull it off.

No Caption Provided
"Surface" the 2005 Sci Fi show  about a trio of stangers who come together over a conspiracy about a genetic experiment gone wrong under the sea, that has dire consequences for the rest of the world.

This show lasted for only 1 season and ended with an unresolved plot. What stood out from this series was the rich storyline and character developement.
Basically it had an oceanographer Laura Daughtery (played by Lake Bell) and a nobody Richard Connelly (Jay R. Ferguson) who meet up after they each have different experiences with mysterious creatures from the deep, while school kid Miles Barnet (Carter Jenkins) befriends an infant creature after discovering its egg who then begins to go through changes after being bitten by one. What would a conspiracy be without "The Company"? throughout the series Laura and Richard dodge bullets, uncover semi truths and go deep sea diving in a man made DIY sub. All the while across the globe strange thinsg are happening to the planet. The trio eventualy meets up when a huge tidal wave hits North Carolina and thats all we got.

Now wouldn't it be great if some publisher bought the rights and continued the story in a comic book series? dealing with discovering what "The Company" (forgot the name) is up to, Miles's mutation and friendship with the creature, more character devleopment of Laura and Richard. It could be a Fathom-ish in execution meets X-Files..

more information at
and check out a "previously on Surface" at

so what do you think?
