Well, if anyone is interested, PG did a face turn, rejected Max's book, and went back to heroing. And then went back to the shelf at DC, ready to be used the next decade or two.
At least there is that after major initial concerns.
She is suppose to be featured in Lazarus Planet Event which spins into an Action Comics backup story.
And the final story in Action Comics features Power Girl's return in part one of a three-part story by Leah Williams and Marguerite Sauvage spinning out of f Lazarus Planet. Action Comics #1051 will be available at local comic shops on January 24, 2023.
I wonder if that will be a real return issue, or simply one that happens after her real return.
You think there will be a real return issue and not simply insert her into the Super Family?
My gut feeling is the latter. If she were one of those characters DC as an institution seems to like, or if she'd ever really had any live action or animated appearances, (for the record, she's never had a live action appearance---one of the few DC characters to manage that still, and had only one animated appearance, voiced by a sex criminal now in the slam. Yeah, that one didn't work out very well.
It just seems more likely DC will simply slot her in somewhere, likely the JSA and not the Superman Family, and never bother to say where she's been and why, or how she got back.
After a decade being in the wilderness I don't expect much so anything is at least something.
I don't know it down to the issue level, but it does seem that here at least she does have lines and some actual things to do apart from pose. We'll see.
What issues is PG back? I seem to see her a few times in promotional material and like to know if she is background character or has a role in any current or upcoming issues.
