Is Bendis really going to ignore the fact that she is in her twenties and he is fifteen. If this was in reverse with a 20 year old man kissing Kamala people would be loosing there shit and starting some dumb ass twitter hash tag.

This event screams cheap P. R stunt just like when Superman and Wonder Woman where kissing on the cover of Justice League.

Miles is 17 and Gwen is 19. It really isn't that big of a deal.

When has her age been stated? they have shown her drinking before so I was under the impression that she was 21 and last Miles book I read he was 15 at the max. So does he age in real time?

Either that stuff aside don't change the fact that this is a cheap P.R stunt which most people are seeing threw now and rejecting.

Jason Latour confirmed their ages on his twitter. Gwen is 19 and Miles is 17.

Again as far as Miles' age is concerned in Ultimate Spider-Man #200, the issue that basically was the Prologue to Miles' last ultimate title, there was a party held on the 2nd year anniversary of Peter's death. Miles was 13 nearly 14 when Peter died. Then when you add all the time skips caused by Secret Wars, the 8 month time skip that brought us to Secret Wars and another 8 month time skip after Secret Wars Miles is, at the very least, 16 at this point.

I'd say 17.

^What they said. I think a lot of people forgot about all the time jumps they did in the Ultimate Universe and then the 8 month time jump after Secret Wars.

Also most of you do know this is not "the love of Peter's life"? This isn't even the same Gwen Stacey and he was never with Gwen that long. It's been stated several times that MJ is the love is his life (they went into more detail with Mephisto and OMD, etc). It makes sense they'd be together given their age being close to each other and both being around each other a lot (Spiderverse and other team ups). Does it feel weird to me? A little, mainly because it is a version of Gwen, but Peter made peace with it not being his Gwen during Spiderverse. Do I care for the pairing? Not really, but not against it. It is what it is. He's already dated the Ultimate Universe version of Kate Bishop, so not surprised he'd date another superhero (though that Kate wasn't a superhero).

Happy anniversary. Also to point out a few things and as others have said, I do see a lot less content (and I'm not going to Gamespot Universe for it). I find myself visiting the site less and less, and when I do, it's becoming more often for the forums as they are quite active. I don't even see the weekly releases mentioned on the main page anymore. There are a lot of stories that are big that are never on the site either, which I find odd.

I JUST looked at the variants for this, and there is something I didn't notice before. She-hulk looks...gray. Should be interesting.

I'll give it a shot. I've seen them do a lot of comedy with She-hulk, and even focus on her legal expertise. It's not often we've seen her really break down from everything that's happened. It isn't until a person or character is pushed out of their comfort zone, that personality traits that typically define them, are tested and shown more through contrast. It's character growth, or at least I hope it'll be handled as growth and not just something cheap. We'll see in a few issues. I want to see that journey of her finding herself again.

Does anybody know how a preview works? Maybe this issue will answer all the questions.

Plus i can clearly see some haven't read Venom in a long time.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I see people asking for Eddie Brock, but had they kept up, they'd know why that wouldn't work.

I try to reserve judgement until I've actually read the issue, you know, the whole issue, not a page or two that have been previewed on a site. It'll be interesting to see what happens next. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Flash as Venom.

@bl00dwerk: Marvel doesn't care if we like them or not. They will shove them down our throats because they have the movie rights to them.

They do, but they started out saying there would be a feature film in, what, Phase 4 or whatever? Next thing you know they movie got pushed back, then completely off the slate. Feige still said there would be a movie, but now we're hearing there's gonna be an expensive tv show instead. I think Marvel sees the writing on the wall and doesn't want to spend too much money on a very unpopular franchise.

I think that's oversimplifying it. We have to keep in mind they added a bunch of movies too. They added the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, the Ant-man sequel, and also Spider-man. They also haven't pushed the Inhumans in the MCU much outside of Agents of SHIELD. It would make more sense to do them as a series. They're popular, just not developed and mainstream enough.

So all that teary-eyed, come-to-Jesus moment at the end of Superior Spider-Man Issue #31 when Octavius calls Peter a true hero and should be the true Spider-Man doesn't count now?? Seriously Slott, you do some good narratives on that Superior run and then eat a huge bean burrito and then proceed to make a massive dump on your own previous work, just to bring us this Clone rehash crap?? Some characters should just be left alone. Every time I see Gwen Stacy now, I think how can we drag her through the mud this time?? Gwen Stacy, Parker's one time true love now relegated to gimmicks *cough-cough Gwenpool *cough, and a plot device in weak storylines...

Gwenpool isn't Gwen Stacey. She is a character literally named Gwen Poole. The ONLY relation she has to Gwen Stacey is that she was originally part of a variant cover where Marvel had various variants with Gwen Stacey as the lead character. For example they also had Gwenom, Gwoot, G.W.E.N.D.O.K. and even a "Brian Michael Gwendis" cover.

So this is a copy of Ock's brain patterns from before he gave Peter his body back.

Itt kinds of messes with that awesome last heroic act Doc Ock made.

Not sure how i feel about that.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. That last moment with him as Superior Spider-man did so much for the character, hate for it to kind of be pushed away for his brain patterns from before to ruin that.
