End of Endgame. I don't wanna say end of a era, it would be too much but this is possibly my favourite Batman story with Batman RIP. No DKR, Knightfall, or Tower of Babel. As Alfed puts it very simply: Batman is tragedy. With his family and even some of his enemies Batman tries to stop the Joker. So in the 80's there was a story that was called Dark Knight Returns. Written by Frank Miller it told a story of now retired Batman that goes back to glory!!! According to that story one of the main reasons why Batman retired was because Robin (Jason Todd) was KIA. Very controversial issue which starts off a Nick Spencer run on the Steve Rogers, (Mr Spencer has been writing Sam Wilson for quite some time durning the start).
