A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal.   • Wolverine tried to kill Scarlet Witch in events of House of M. Later Wolverine battled Scarlet Witch, when she was a member of the Hysteries.

  • Quark was a professional psychologist, spy and mercenary. She was also a love interest to her pawn Havok/Alex Summers. She had several run-ins with Wolverine and Havok.

  • The Snow Queen is an assassin from The Netherlands. She is also a mutant with the ability to generate psionic static that dampens or negates the physical senses of others, which they perceive as a blinding whiteness reminiscent of snow. Snow Queen battled Wolverine and released her mental powers on him, confusing his senses.

  • Silas King was a drug smuggler who got his powers from extensive exposure to the sun when his bus broke down in the desert.

  • Solo went after a rampaging Wolverine when his mind was being influenced by an alien. Solo worked with Cardiac but they were both no match against him. Nightcrawler arrived to stop the fight and explained what happened. Solo believed him and left severely injured from the fight.

  • Member of the Black Dragon Death Squad. He was able to strike someones soul. His powers were presumably chi based but there is a chance that they were mystical. Lo Shang Cho, the Black Dragon who preceded Lin was his grandfather and thus the patriarch of his family. He was murdered 50 years ago by Wolverine. Soulstriker sought retribution on Wolverine as part of Lin's Black Dragon Death Squad. Wolverine knows Soulstriker's weak spot. By thinking about how he killed Soulstriker's grandfather, Wolverine goes to his happy place and effectively negated Soulstriker's powers, leaving him vulnerable. Wolverine then uses his adamantium claws to sever Soulstriker's right hand.

  • Speed Demon would participate in an event called the Bloodsport, an annual tournament held in Madripoor showcasing fighters from around the globe. During the first round, He was pitted against Wolverine in a Cylinder Match. Despite his best efforts and the addition to throwing knives into his arsenal, Speed Demon did not fair well. While trying to incapacitate Wolverine in a vortex of wind, Speed Demon was caught in the neck by one of his own throwing knives as the result of a well aimed throw by Wolverine. Bleeding profusely, Saunders fell prey to Wolverine. While the crowd cheered for death, Wolverine ultimately choose not to kill his wounded opponent. Speed Demon, despite his injuries, survived.

  • Princess Veranke was a strong believer of the Skrull prophets and was banished by King Dorrek as a result. When the scriptures proved to be true, she claimed the throne and set the invasion upon Earth.

  • Extreme experimentation turned Rita Wayword into Mojo's loyal servant Spiral, the six-armed sorceress.

  • An extremely resilient bio weapon created by the Deviants that could consume and absorb its enemies growing in power. Spore was resurrected from the cocaine that was manufactured from the plants that grew from his soil. Caridad injected himself with a dose of tainted cocaine and became Spore. The living weapon came into conflict with Wolverine and La Bandera. Spore was eventually defeated when it was touched by Sister Salvation.

  • Spyne was one of the mutant members of the Dark Riders. A cannibalistic carnivore, Spyne views his adversaries as a meal more than anything else. In the battle with Dark Riders, Spyne was killed by Wolverine just as he was prepared to attack Cannonball. Wolverine then used Spyne's severed tail to ensare and kill his fellow Dark Rider Deadbolt.

  • A member of Neo, Stare took Kavita Rao hostage, and demanded an explanation of the Decimation from Cyclops. However, an impatient Wolverine attacked him, and Stare gave the order for his clanmates to kill all the X-Men.

  • The X-Men and the Imperial Guard's first encountered occurred when the X-Men were after Lilandra and Eric the Red.

  • Stasis has the power to absorb any energy or force used against him and rechannel it back to his enemy.

  • Head of Project: Armageddon - Mutants killed: 29

  • Storm encountered Stonewall, Super Sabre and Crimson Commando. They mistaken Storm as a criminal and tried to capture her. The trio were defeated by Storm and Wolverine.

  • Member of the Black Dragon Death Squad. As a personal bodyguard of the Black Dragon, he is easily defeated by Wolverine.

  • A clone of Cable created by the Askani and raised by Apocalypse, Stryfe is the founder of Mutant Liberation Front, and the creator of the Legacy Virus.

  • Subject X or rather Agent X-13 is a Mutant Field Agent from a parallel universe who is sent on missions to other realities in order to activate Ghost Boxes. Once he does Deathlok-Class Security Unit Sentinels are sent through the Boxes and are used to conquer and annex the parallel Earths that Subject X has visited.

  • An ancient sentient bacterium that possesses and operates through human hosts.

  • A mutant menace that was recruited by the new X-Force's teamleader, Coach. She was hired to kill of some members of the X-force.

  • Suicide has the power to heal from anything and can only be killed by killing Ghost Rider. If Suicide ever manages to kill Dan Ketch, he himself would die. Wolverine fought Suicide and Unkillables.

  • An Atlantean advisor and warrior who joins forces with the Invaders. Wolverine killed Sulumor by impaling him on his sword.

  • A villain, who fought against the Avengers.

  • Android with the powers of the Fantastic Four built by the Mad Thinker.

  • A mentally unstable member of the Black Order who preys on the intellect of her victims.

  • Supreme Pontiff is the leader of the Church of Humanity.

  • Agent of the governmental agency Black Air.

  • Svyatogor is the super-strong cyborg member of the Bogatyri. Svyatogor and Morning Star captured Wolverine, while he was backpacking in the Canadian wilderness. However Wolverine is assisted by members of the West Coast Avengers and thwart the Bogatyri's plans for a new Cold War.

  • Demonic Extra-Dimensional Would Be World Conqueror.

  • T is one half of the mercenary duo known as the Lady Killers. T and her partner A assisted Mister X's bodyguard Blok in testing Wolverine prior to the feral X-Man's meeting with Mister X.

  • Captain America and Wolverine join forces to take out Tess One and a mutant named Overrider from taking over an American Nuclear Command Center.

  • Tactical Force is Hydra's equivalent of Iron Man.

  • "Father" of Natalia Romanova (aka Black Widow). He also trained Wolverine in spy tactics. He was later killed by Wolverine when Natalia decided to escape from him.

  • The Venom symbiote with Eddie brock fought Wolverine but Gargan is the current venom he fought him and the New avenges.

  • Wolverine and his two friends was defeated by the Scorpius Emperor. However Wolverine came and defeated Scorpius Emperor.

  • Scrambler is a Korean-American mutant mercenary working as a member of the Marauders. During the final battle with the X-Men Scrambler goes over to Wolverine and shuts off his healing factor so that he won't heal from the bullet, after being shot in the eye by Scalphunter. However, X-23 appears and literally dismantles Scrambler, cutting off both his hands and mutilates him.

  • Sebastian Shaw is a mutant that is best known for being the Black King of the Hellfire Club. His power allows him to absorb all kinetic energy directed at him and turn it into greater physical strength and speed.

  • Selene is the oldest living mutant, born 17,000 years ago. She is a notable villain of the X-Men, often opposing them in her position as the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club. Her ultimate goal is to become a goddess through the life absorption of other mutants.

  • Senyaka is from Sri Lanka, was a part of Acolytes and has energy-based whips. He is one of the more violent members of the Acolytes and embraces Fabien Cortez's view of human extermination. In battle with Inner Circle, Wolverine attacked him, stabbing him with his claws in to Senyaka's chest.

  • Dragonhead, Seven and Eleven were Yakuza assassins targeting Wolverine. They took the performance drug "Thunderbolt" which granted them super-strength and suppressed their fear and pain. However they were aware that the drug was lethal. Their plan was simple. Seven and Eleven impaled themselves on the claws of their target, using their weight to trap them under them. Meanwhile Dragonhead was attempting to decapitate the target. The plan did not work.

  • The Shadow King is a powerful psionic entity that can possess and control human bodies. Originally thought to be a mutant, while possessing Amahl Farouk Shadow King was the first evil mutant [sic] fought by Charles Xavier. Their battle was a major factor in Xavier later forming the X-Men.

  • Wolverine engages with Shadow Stalker after he killed Cannon Foot inside the headquarters of the Red Right Hand. Shadow Stalker draws blood with her spiked gloves and tells Wolverine his blood tastes so sweet. The fight is fierce but Wolverine eventually prevails and kills Shadow Stalker.

  • The alien shapeshifting member of the Sh'iar Imperial Guard he has gone by both Shapeshifter and Hobgoblin. One of the founding members of the Guardsmen he has fought against the X-Men, Starjammers and the Avengers on service to the Royal Family of the Sh'Air.

  • One of the three Arbiters of the Hand, chosen to resurrect Bullseye in order to test the Kingpin's worth as leader of the ninja clan. Shikaru is a mountain of a man, passive unless a transgression occurs, in which case his wrath is terrible to behold. Shikaru is a skilled combatant, where he wields man-sized ninja hand claws. With his weaponry, skill, and physical prowess, he was able to defeat Wolverine.

  • Shinji Kizaki journeyed to the island of Maximillian Zaran in the South China Seas to witness his attempt at defeating Wolverine, hoping to win Kizaki's favour, and reclaim his reputation. He and his men guarded Wolverine's foster daughter Amiko during the battle, which Zaran ultimately lost. Shinji informed Wolverine that he was impressed with his honor, moreso than he was of Zaran. He returned Amiko to Wolverine, but rather than allow her and Wolverine to depart, informed them that he had identified Wolverine as a future potential threat. He had his guards fire arrows at the two of them, but Wolverine shielded Amiko with his body, then hid her while he defeated the ninjas. When they were all defeated, Wolverine confronted Kizaki, but was convinced by Amiko to let him live, as he had already lost his honor for being defeated. Kizaki informed Wolverine that his family was safe from retribution. Zaran attempted to shoot down Wolverine's helicopter as he left the island, but Kizaki prevented him from doing so, intending to one day destroy Wolverine himself, once he had learned his strengths, weaknesses and motivations.

  • A mercenary who used bladed weapons and worked for a drug-dealer named Bullfinch. In the line of his work, he found himself confronting with Wolverine in a couple of fights, surprising the canadian mutant with speed, stamina and strenght comparable to his own.

  • The watchdog of the Weapon X project, Shiva is part of the Shiva protocol designed to destroy any Weapon X members who may be deemed uncontrollable. Wolverine destroyed Shiva, but it has been revealed that there are other Shiva units in existence.

  • While trying to get his life straight, Todd was ambushed by the Hand and was killed, only to by resurrected, brainwash and used as a weapon against Wolverine. Luckily, SHIELD was able to stop the influence of Hydra and cancel the brainwash. His memory is slowly recovering and SHOC has become a hero once more.

  • Shotgun is a member of the Harriers.

  • Nothing is known about Shredder’s origins. All is really known about his origin is that he's a Canadian mercenary for hire. Shredder had encounter with Wolverine and became one of Wolverine's enemies.

  • A member of the former Shield assassination squad known as the Contingency.

  • A Lord of Chaos and Master of the extra-dimensional gods known as the Old Ones, Shuma-Gorath rules over hundreds of dimensions. He is best known for being one of the most powerful and terrifying adversaries of Doctor Strange. It is seemingly impossible to permanently destroy this evil god.

  • Mr. Shumai was Ogun's bodyguard.

  • A clan of ninjas who followed Fu Manchu, then later Kingpin.

  • Sinew was a member of the Neo's Guardian Clan who retained his powers after the Decimation when many others did not. Hearing of the birth of the Messiah-child, the Clan leader, Stare, led the powered members of the Clan in an attack on the X-Men in hopes of receiving answers. Sinew battled Wolverine, Colossus, and Armor on Utopia, defeating Wolverine.

  • Silver Samurai is a very skilled Japanese warrior who has clashed several times against Wolverine in his never-ending quest to restore his family's honor. He accomplished this in a tradeoff with Wolverine: in exchange for the Honor sword in Wolverine's possession, he agreed to provide for the welfare of Wolverine's adopted daughter, Amiko.

  • Russian mutant with the power to wipe minds, inflict psionic pains, and control his victims.

  • The Skornn is an ancient evil demon. The monster was very well known throughout the universe, and its horrors were even known in the Shi'ar Empire. Alongside the aid of Deadpool, Wolverine, the Fantastic Four and a new (futuristic) incarnation of the Mutant Liberation Front, the mutants and heroes eventually managed to kill the Skorrn.

  • Skrull that impersonated Spider-Man during Secret Invasion.

  • Skrull that impersonated Wolverine. There has been two different Skrull Wolverines, one in X-Men, and another in the Secret Invasion Event.

  • A cyborg and member of the Reavers. He encountered the X-Men and Wolverine multiple times.

  • Formerly of the Omega Gang, Vin has since been incarcerated, lost his powers on M-Day, and joined the New Warriors as Skybolt, along with his former Omega Gang mates Tattoo and Radian.

  • Serpentine warrior who served the voice of the Mandate, Nirissa. Slith attacked Wolverine and stabbed him in his wrist with the poison spikes in his palm. Wolverine fought back and seemingly killed Slith.

  • Slither is a mutant that has been a member of Mutant Force, Serpent Society and the second Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants.

  • Clegg is a human enhanced with tech-organic virus member of the Reavers in the alternate reality known as the Age of apocalyse

  • Enemy of Spider-Man and sometimes ally of The Kingpin. Jalome's (original Slyde) step-brother Matthew briefly donned the costume while Jalome was in prison, but was slain by Wolverine, then under the control of the Hand. Resurrected as part of the Hand's super villain army, he joined a mass attack on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier, only to be slain again by Wolverine, who had shaken off the Hand's control.

  • A mutant menace that was recruited by the new X-Force's teamleader, Coach. Smoke was hired to kill off X-force teamleader Orphan, but failed to do so and was killed by Wolverine.

  • Snare is a super powered warrior and an original member of the Next Wave. Snare trapped Ghost Rider in a net but was cut free by Wolverine and the Beast.

  • Student at the Hellfire Academy.

  • Tarkington Brown contacted Wolverine to warn him about a Japanese plan to smuggle incapacitated assassin Bullseye out of the country and perform surgery on him, hoping that Wolverine would stop him. To do this, Wolverine teamed-up with Daredevil and, when he reported this to Brown, Brown decided to take the chance to ambush and murder Daredevil as a revenge for Daredevil's interference. During that time, Daredevil revealed Brown's crimes to Wolverine. Brown went to the pier where Daredevil and Wolverine were fighting thugs to reach the smuggling boat, and aimed at Daredevil, only to be slashed by Wolverine with his claws. Daredevil was aghast at Wolverine's killing blow and, while Wolverine still fought thugs, Daredevil had to choose between saving Brown's life by taking him to the hospital, or reaching the boat. He decided to save Brown, who was still angry at Daredevil.

  • A hilly-billy psychotic killer who uses knives to slash his victims. He is Baylee Ann's brother/lover. In battle with Dr. Rottwell's family, Wolverine cruelly slashes Tater to ribbons but with Tater's dieing breath he says "Dream...Dream a Dream of Pretty Prey and Blood Red as Rage." This phase is a trigger put into Logan's head by either Weapon X or Dr. Rottwell himself. Later when Logan believes he has escaped, he is in fact mentally taken over by Tater's soul/essence.

  • A mutant with mind-controlling pheromones that was turned into a Brood by Harry Palmer, a human turned Brood, and would come into conflict with the X-Men. Wolverine killed Temptress with his claws.

  • Tempus is a servant of Immortus, in his land of Limbo. Tempus is incapable of being killed as his body is constructed from Limbo Ice and will always reform no matter how many times it is destroyed.

  • Temujin is the son of the Mandarin and a member of the Agents of Atlas. Inheriting the Mandarin's powerful rings, Temujin resolved to use his father's resources to bring tranquillity rather than terror to the world.

  • Termagaira, the former Warlord of the demon host, had been split into two separate beings and separated from the Battletide. As Termagent and Megaira they had manipulated events on Colosseum to bring the Battletide to them. On Colosseum, warriors from across the multiverse had come to participate in the Games, the greatest bloodsport of them all. Attendance was at record levels, as this cycle the Games were to be to the death, and live omniversal link-ups would provide trillions of viewers with coverage of the events. Termagent had collected heroes and villains from Earth and other lower worlds to participate in the Games, including Dark Angel, Death's Head, Hercules, Killpower, Psylocke, Sabretooth and Wolverine.

  • The masculine side of Termagaira. Termagent and Megaira are considered the greatest warriors on Colosseum. Like his other half he uses bladed weapons, and has vast superhuman strength (class 75 or thereabouts). He also designed a pair of electro-gauntlets capable of stunning even those with superhuman endurance such as Death's Head and Killpower.

  • A lethal creation by a dying race to get their revenge on the Celestials. Terminus is an incredibly powerful and gargantuan cosmic scavenger, who exists in various stages and has threatened the Earth a number of times. Wolverine and other X-Men battled Terminus in Savage Land.

  • Thanos is a mutant Eternal with the Deviant gene. This makes him unique and extremely powerful, even among his own kind. Thanos loves and worships Mistress Death above all else. Few can match his intelligence, strength or ambition. He has wielded the Infinity Gauntlet and The Heart of The Universe.

  • The Heralds' Spider-Girl (of Earth-1122) and Wolverine (of Earth-811) were sent to Earth-1123 to convince that world's Reed Richards to help destroy the Celestial Seed within that Earth. They fought their way past the secret service and confronted President Richards who transformed into the Brute. While Wolverine and Spider-Girl fought the Brute, Sue and Namor McKenzie appeared alongside the Atlantean army. Sue pulled Wolverine and Spider-Girl from the conflict, while the Brute cursed them, vowing to search the planet to destroy them.

  • A strange alien that let Marvel Heroes fight eachother. He was originally created for the Questprobe limited series, witch was about a computer game in the mid 1980's. The Chief Examiner battled the X-Men, including Wolverine and Magneto.

  • Malcolm Colcord first appeared as a mysterious shadowed face; several years ago, Colcord was a family man, and a handsome soldier until he was assigned as a guard to the Weapon X complex up in Canada. He was unprepared that one night his perfect life would be over. That night happened to be the night Wolverine escaped from the complex, massacring all the soldiers in his way in an animalistic rage. Colcord sadly did not escape his wrath, and was repeatedly slashed in the face by Wolverine, disfiguring him for the rest of his life.

  • A Charles Xavier dark-side part. He would use his powers for personal gain and conquest.

  • Wolverine stumbled across the Hood's scheme to use a Deathlok to attack Avengers Tower. The two fought. The Hood shot Wolverine in the junk. Wolverine said his would grow back and asked if the Hood's would. Wolverine continued to attack and the Hood transformed into demon form and fled the building.

  • Nothing of the past has been revealed about the Inquisitor. He came into the employ of the Madripoor crimelord known only as Roche. After Wolverine had been captured by Sapphire Styx, the Inquisitor was summoned by Roche to force him to reveal any information he knew about Tyger Tiger. Wolverine did not break during a fourteen hour session, which pleased the Inquisitor, as he saw it as something of a challenge. However, Wolverine escaped that night. The Inqusitor was next summon to put another of Roche's enemies, O'Donnell through unending agony before he was killed. However, Tyger Tiger and Wolverine returned to Roche's estate. Tyger freed O'Donnel, but was ambushed from behind by the Inqusitor's whip. Tyger turned the tides on the Inquisitor and beat him senseless, smashing his face repeatedly against the stone dungeon floor. Tyger then injured Sapphire Styx, and she and the Inquisitor fled from Tyger's wrath.

  • The Insect is a member of the Red Skull's S-Men who is able to assume the form of an insectoid creature. When the Red Skull caused the panic among the population and sent mind-controlled lynch mob to hunt and kill all mutants Tsar fought against Wolverine before being knocked out by Scarlet Witch. He escaped along with the other S-Men and the Red Skull after the tide of the battle was turned on the favor of the Avengers Unity Division.

  • A botched clone of Thomas Edison that is mixed with cockatiel DNA.

  • Legendary sea monster from Norse folklore and Mythology. Wolverine and Hercules encountered Kraken in the sea.

  • Necromancer is a terrorist weapons developer who is able to psionically communicate with the spirits of dead people. During Enemy of the State, when Wolverine was under the control of HYDRA, he was sent to assassinate Necromancer to avoid him being captured by the Invaders. Wolverine failed and the Invaders secured Necromancer.

  • The Prince quickly became an enemy of Wolverine, and after several attempts to kill him ended up attempting to frame Wolverine for the murder of his friends at the Princess Bar.

  • Professor Thorton was one of the scientists of the Weapon X Project. He is first seen in the closing days of World War II, discovering journals of Mr. Sinister. Later he has Wolverine captured and laces his bones with Adamantium. Sometime later, the Professor becomes the Weapon Plus scientist who creates Weapon X - the Adamantium laced Wolverine. He is there the day Wolverine receives his Adamantium skeleton, and the day he escaped. Wolverine and others assumed Thortron had died that day but Thorton and his work keep popping up.

  • A mob war takes place in New York City between the Pazzo family and a don known as the Roman. Wolverine agrees to eliminate the Roman if the Pazzo family forgives a 20k marker to his friend. The Roman send a professional hit-man known as the Sweeper to eliminate Wolverine. The two meet at a cafe and Wolverine pops his claws into the Sweeper before he fires his gun.

  • The Wild Sentinel was originally one of the two Mega-Sentinels that obliterated Genosha. It was thought to have been destroyed but later returned to wreak havoc on The X-Men after being reprogrammed by Danger.

  • Once the daughter of a powerful magician, her parents were killed by thugs and her face was scared, but she escaped. She turned to Roekel for protection, and in turn she was turned into The Wink. She encountered and fought against Wolverine on Earth when the Imperfects invaded. She would get defeated by Wolverine after she tried to steal info from the Avenger's base.

  • LeSeig hired Stealth Inc. to capture Wolverine in Madripoor. They delivered Wolverine to him. LeSeig paid them and got information from them how to render Wolverine unconscious again. Not too long after that Recombinants brought four campers to LeSeig. LeSeig welcomed the awakening campers in his lair and introduced himself. He told them his plans to create a superior human/animal race after his attempts to combine animals weren't satisfying anymore. He continued his crazy babble by talking about his failed experiments and finally he showed the campers a successful melding of animal and human he would use as a model: Wolverine. He was LeSeig's original motivation to start his experiments when he heard about Wolverine stalking through the woods the first time and now Wolverine was in LeSeig's possession to be dissected. Wolverine collapsed in his cage and LeSeig was afraid that he had overdosed him. He ordered Fisher and Thidwick to get him out for examination, but Wolverine attacked them. LeSeig trapped Wolverine immediately in an isolation booth and used the toxin Stealth Inc. had used before on Wolverine to knock him out. LeSeig then had Wolverine brought to his operation table, but Wolverine wasn't unconscious and before LeSeig could use extra anesthetic on him, Wolverine was free and after him. LeSeig ran upstairs to get more loyal Recombinants and sent them against Wolverine. They failed miserably, but the fight gave LeSeig the time to get a big gun to finish Wolverine. LeSeig shot and all three darts missed. Wolverine broke the fence to the failed Recombinants' pit and LeSeig attempted to drug him again, so that Wolverine would fall into the pit and get killed, but Wolverine grabbed LeSeig and threw him into the pit. LeSeig was slaughtered by his failed Recombinants.

  • Worked on the Howlett estate and often abused his son Dog, he may also be James Howlett's (Wolverine) real father after having a long affair with his mother. Thomas Logan was the first person Wolverine killed. His powers fist manifested after seeing Thomas kill his father with a shotgun.

  • A cowboy who is nearly indestructable and impervious to pain. He participated in the capture of Scalphunter and fought Psylocke, Colossus, and Wolverine when they attacked Lobe's base in New York City.

  • A television writer angry at the failures of his medium, he is transformed into Thundersword by the Beyonder and takes out his frustrations on the world.

  • During the Acts of Vengeance, Tiger Shark battled against Wolverine and heroine La Bandera.
