A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, enhanced senses, and bone claws in his hands that, along with his skeleton, are coated in adamantium, Wolverine is the ultimate weapon.

  • Otis is one of Banners grandchildren. He was presumably killed when Wolverine went on a rampage against the Hulk Gang.

  • Orphan Maker is an enigmatic mutant, whose powers (though unrevealed) remained after Decimation. As a boy, he was nearly killed by Mr. Sinister. Nanny rescued & recruited him for her team, the "Lost Boys." He kills the parents of mutant children, creating more soldiers for Nanny.

  • Ord is an alien from the planet Breakworld. He trained for decades and was sent to Earth, under the belief that Colossus is destined to destroy his home planet. He battled the X-Men, defeating Wolverine, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde and Beast before being attacked by Lockheed.

  • Orb battled Wolverine and the Spider-Man in future timeline.

  • Ophis was a member of the Neyaphem. He was killed by Wolverine.

  • The good half of Dr. Mullarkey's separated personality - an artificial, shape-shifting life form.

  • Onslaught was born from the minds of Professor X and Magneto, and is a nigh-omnipotent villain, and can absorb powers from various other characters. Onslaught is mostly remembered for his part in the deaths of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Hulk and Doctor Doom that led to the Heroes Reborn reboot.

  • A member of the Omega Clan.

  • Omega Red is a Russian mutant supersoldier with carbonadium tendrils that emerge from his wrist and he also secretes a pheremone that drains the life out of his victims. He uses his tendrils as a coduit for the pheremone. Wolverine first encountered Omega Red while working for the CIA. Omega tried to kill Wolverine many times.

  • A member of the Omega Clan. He is the closest member in terms of appearance and powers to the original Omega Red.

  • Omega Black was built from the remains of the original Omega Red by an organization called the White Sky. She, along with her "siblings", was implanted with false memories that result in a strong grudge against X-Force who, as they believe, was hired by some pharmaceutical company to kill their father who discovered a cure for autoimmune diseases.

  • Ogun was Wolverine's mentor in the art of ninjutsu. He was also a telepath capable of controlling the minds of others. Wolverine first met Ogun during WWII, while the latter served in the Japanese army. Some time after mentoring Wolverine, he fell in with the Yakuza, becoming a villain in the process. While Wolverine was training his young protégé Kitty Pryde in the same skills he had learned from Ogun, the villain possessed Kitty's mind, turning her from Wolverine's honorable path, and pitting the two against each other. It was only through Wolverine's tutelage that Kitty was able to escape Ogun's control. Ogun has constantly plagued Wolverine, inhabiting the minds of numerous of Wolverine's allies and loved ones, even forcing him to nearly kill his enemy-turned-reluctant wife Viper, to drive her from his mind. He was last seen being driven into the Astral Plane by Kitty Pryde, who had seemingly convinced him of the error of his ways.

  • Obnoxio was an evil, obnoxious (hence the name) clown whom was the star of Crazy Magazine.

  • Number Two is a Mark II Sentinel with his own intellect, the ability to teleport himself and others across distances and a goal unique to himself. He believes it is unnecessary to kill mutants. More will be born in time. Sterilizing the human race is a more effective method.

  • Known for many years as the Green Goblin and Spider-Man's arch-enemy, Osborn fooled the world into thinking he's a hero under the guise of the Iron Patriot and outed many heroes as cowards. His downfall was caused by his own insanity when he led a Siege on Asgard.

  • Wolverine and Noh-Varr faught right before the Dark and New Avengers teamed up to stop Ymir, the Frost Giant.

  • Noburu was Mariko Yashida's husband and partner of her father Lord Shingen. He was killed by Yukio while pointing a gun to Wolverine.

  • Wolverine began hunting Nitro. Eventually Wolverine and a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents caught up with Nitro. The agents perished in the battle. Atlantian agents show up and capture Nitro for Namor and Wolverine follows them to New Pangea in an Iron Man armor to find Nitro has killed his interrogators in an attempt to escape. Wolverine captures Nitro and slices off his arm, leaving Nitro a prisoner of Atlantis.

  • Nisanti is a demon who powers Parker Robbins (a.k.a. The Hood). With his invisibility granting cloak and levitating boots, Nisanti caused Parker to become reliant on his demonic powers so that he would be an easy vessel for bringing Dormammu to Earth.

  • Nirissa was a Matriarch of a hidden city in Tibet that is ruled by the Mandate. As ruler of a hidden city in Tibet, she conspired to bring Wolverine to the city in order for him to mate with her daughter, Serra. She hoped that it would produce immortal children.

  • Advanced Sentinel from Earth-811, the Days of Future Past Timeline.

    Nimrod battled the Juggernaut and members of the X-Men but was severely injured when Rogue absorbed the abilities of Nightcrawler and Colossus. The fastball special backfired on Wolverine when he was reflected back by Nimrod's force field.

  • Evil alien scientist who created the Imperfects and Paragon.

  • A disfigured mutant with a death aura. He battled Wolverine, Colossus and Nightcrawler.

  • Nightside is a longstanding member of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. She has the power to generate darkness.

  • Nightmare is the ruler of the dream dimension and a co-creator of the Fear Lords.

  • The X-Men and the Imperial Guard's first encountered occurred when the X-Men were after Lilandra and Eric the Red.

  • The Nemean Lion was a great lion upon whose impenetrable hide swords snapped and arrows bounced uselessly. Eurystheus and Achelous led Matsuo and the Hand to the whereabouts of the Nemean Lion's corpse and they resurrected the lion. Upon entering Matsuo Tsurayaba's apartment Wolverine and Hercules were greeted by a video of Matsuo, Eurystheus and Achelous telling them of the resurrection of ancient Greece monsters. Moments later the first two, Minotaur and Nemean Lion, attacked them. After knocking out Hercules they opposed Wolverine. Nemean Lion and Minotaur fought Wolverine, whose Adamantium claws were unable to even make a scratch in the Nemean Lion's hide. When Hercules regained consciousness he broke the Nemean Lion's neck while Wolverine took care of the Minotaur.

  • A member of The Imperial Guard. Neosaurus was the self-described "most magnificent artificial brain" in the galaxy. He moved about by controling reptilian humanoid exo-bodies. The exo-bodies had artificial brains wired into them. He can fly by using an "Imperial Flight Patch". Only one exo-body was actually depicted. Uncertain if they are all identical. Neosaurus was assigned to attack the Xavier Mansion alongside fellow Guardians. He kept in communication with their ship. He was reluctant to take this mission and was too distracted to notice Wolverine preparing for an attack. Wolverine smashed his jaw apart and pushed the artificial brain out of the exo-body, killing it. Wolverine was only interested in getting Neosaurus' Patch. Gladiator reported that it was only one of the exo-bodies. Where his other exo-bodies were stored was not mentioned.

  • Some time in the 19th century a group of settlers slaughtered a Navajo tribe, killing all but one boy. That boy was tranformed via a cayote carcass into a large and powerful beast who sought revenge in modern times. Wolverine wandered into Roamer to find it almost empty. He briefly smelled roadkill just before the coyote beast's roar destroyed his hearing. The creature smashed Wolverine through buildings, slashing at him, until Wolverine stabbed back. The beast retreated and Wolverine found out more about it from the town sheriff, who dubbed the creature the Navajo Coyote, and Dina Wolkow. Wolverine found and attacked the creature, but was kicked far away by its hind legs. The brutal fight continued until Wolverine's claws slashed the side of the malformed coyote, revealing the Navajo boy inside. He motioned to roar but had his throat pierced by Wolverine. He then threw his blood into the mutant hero's eyes, providing a spirit vision that revealed the Navajo boy's past. Emphasizing to the boy that the past was over and punishing the present was wrong, yet also recognizing no common tongue, Wolverine believed the boy understood as he killed him. Behind him, the spirit of the boy faded away.

  • Nakh is hired by Bella Donna Boudreaux of the Assassins Guild to hunt down Domino after she cheated the guild out of millions of dollars they had intended to claim from The Hand. When Domino and Wolverine arrived at the Guild, Nakh was killed by Domino when she ricocheted a bullet into his head.

  • It took the combined efforts of the X-Men and X-Factor to take down the techno-organic, magical demon N'astirh during the Inferno storyline.

  • Mzee is a tortoise-like member of the Red-Skull's S-Men.

  • The relationship between Mystique and Wolverine is complicated. There’s hate, lust, distrust, respect and unresolved issues that litter their decades-long interactions. Wolverine and Mystique have a long history with each other. They encountered each other when they were being held blind folded by a firing squad. They were in a short term relationship, when Mystique harshly ended it by kicking him out of a moving train. When she joined Magneto's brotherhood of evil mutants, Wolverine joined Xavier's X-Men. Logan had his memories lost in this time, but later he has regained them and known his history with Mystique. This resulted their in the violently battling, during which Wolverine injured Mystique and she cursed him as he walked away from her, leaving her in the desert. Mystique sits in a unique place in Wolverine’s life: able to fit in on a list of his top adversaries as well as his top lovers in his life.

  • In an alternate future of the Universe, Mysterio tricked Wolverine into thinking all of his friends at the mansion were an invading force of super-villains, causing him to murder them all.

  • A freedom fighter and leader of the Mazikhandar Liberty Legion. Zai'id bravely battled Wolverine and attempted to fight the mutant only to be almost immediately killed when Wolverine stabbed him in the heart with his claws.

  • Musere is a soldier in the Mbangawin Army. He is under Dr. Crocodile's command.

  • Nyoirin was the lover and master of ninja Kwannon and rival of the hand. He would ally with Matsuo so they would both have the woman they loved, leading to the mixing and merging of Kwannon with Psylocke.

  • Andrei Rostov aka Piston was a former SHIELD agent and current member of the Harriers which are a team of professional mercenaries led by Sergeant-Major Harold Malone aka Hardcase, a retired member of the Royal Marine Commandos. The entire team consist of Piston, Shotgun, Lifeline, Warhawk, Blindside, Longbow, Timebomb, Axe and Ranger. The Harriers came to Madripoor and were hired to snatch three mutants, Wolverine, Psylocke and Jubilee.

  • Wolverine helped Havok to defeat Plasma.

  • The Plasma Wraiths are temporal agents of Mojo, serving at the Big Crunch. They seem to have powers similar to Jubilee and may be based on her. Chimera has often been seen accompanied with them.

  • Ruler of Hades, the Underworld. God of the Dead.

  • Wolverine battled Polaris, when she was a member of the Hysteries.

  • Polyphemus was a monstrous cyclops who had once been blinded by Odysseus.

  • Alex Gentry, the Porcupine, was one of the first Marvel silver age villains and most notably fought against Ant-Man and Captain America, but also faced the Avengers, the X-Men and the Defenders.

  • A mage who sold his soul to Mephisto. Member of The MyS-Tech board and Techno-Wizards.

  • Primus is a shapeshifting bio-android, an artificial humanoid created by the mad scientist named Arnim Zola.

  • Prince Baran was a ruler of Madripoor. His "royal" family originated in a group of pirates that laid claim on the island prior to the 20th century. Baran received payment to allow illegal or otherwise covert activities on his island. Wolverine stubbornly refused to play by the rules, resulting in the Prince holding a grudge against him. Baran was assassinated by his traitorous ally General Nguyen Ngoc Coy. His death left a vacant spot at the leadership of Madripoor, eventually covered by Viper.

  • Prism is a member of the Marauders and has been resurrected by Mister Sinister several times.

  • A stange alien whom guarded the Crimson Dawn dimension. He encountered and fought the X-men Wolverine and Archangel in their search for a way to save their fellow teammate, Psylocke's life. In the end he was defeated by another alien named Kuragari, whom took over the Crimson Dawn dimension. Kuragari however was defeated by the two X-men as well. Proctor Tar's sworn enemy was Gommur the Ancient.

  • Professor Power is a super-villain who blames Charles Xavier, Spider-Man, and the original X-Men for the death of his son Aaron, he has sought revenge on Spider-Man and the X-Men (Beast and Xavier particularly) as well as fighting Iron Man. He wears a high-tech armored suit.

  • The insane son of Moira MacTaggert, Proteus is a mutant with the power to warp the fabric of reality itself. He must constantly hop from body to body, as the energies he controls burn out living flesh rapidly. Proteus tried to possess Wolverine's body, but was forced out by the Adamantium in Logan's skeleton. Nonetheless, he quickly incapacitated Nightcrawler and Wolverine by distorting spatial and substantial reality around them.

  • Cobra accepted a commission from Ghaur (Deviant leader) and Llyra (Atlantean) to retrieve items of arcane mystic power; he split the Society into squads. Asp, Boomslang, and Puff Adder went to the Savage Land to retrieve a stone idol, but were interrupted by Wolverine and Dazzler. The trio retrieved the idol, but Wolverine ambushed them and took down Boomslang and Asp, while Dazzler knocked out Puff Adder with a well-slung rock; the X-Men retrieved the item and the serpents returned home.

  • Puma is a powerful Native-American Werecat. Puma was raised to fight the Beyonder and became an ally to Spider-Man. Puma was seen in the Bloodsport competition. He made it to the semi-final round, but was defeated by Wolverine.

  • After his family was killed by the mob, Special Forces Marine veteran Frank Castle became an army of one in the war against organized crime. The distinct death's head symbol emblazoned on his chest, he is now the violent force of nature known as The Punisher.

  • Quentin Quire is an Omega-level mutant telepath, super-genius, and former student at the Xavier Institute. He is responsible for starting a riot at the school, and was enrolled at Wolverine's new school against his will. He left the school after inheriting billions from the Phoenix Corporation and becoming the White King of the Hellfire Club.

  • Quoggoth is an ancient Eldritch Abomination created by Shuma-Gorath who rebelled against his master in a failed attempt to take his place as the leader of the Old Ones.

  • Raina is part of the Saurid race and much like Homo sapiens they have a mutant branch within their society. Raina is part of the Hauk'ka who appear to be similar to the X-Men and is a Saurid counterpart to Beast as she is the powerhouse of the group as she is able to take down opponents such as T-Rexes twice her size. Raina resides in the Savage Land with the rest of her people.

  • Ragnarok is a cyborg clone of Thor who has all the powers of the Asgardian god and none of the humanity.

  • Rapture is an artificial copy of the winged, blue-skinned mutant nun known as Sister Joy which was created by Cerebro.

  • Formerly an agent of SHIELD's Psi-Ops division. She and her black ops team, the Contingency, were trained to kill mutants but went rogue and now work for themselves. She battled against Wolverine, Captain America And Warbird.

  • Assassin, who battled Wolverine and Captain America.

  • Shape-shifting son of Wolverine and Mystique from an alternate future. He tried to kill his father in events of Battle of the Atom.

  • Razor-Fist and other Assassins Guild members attacked Domino and Wolverine. Unaware of the stolen money Wolverine was a bit surprised when Razor-Fist asked Domino to return the Assassins Guild's money. After a tough fight Wolverine cut off Razor-Fist's blades and threatened to cut off his legs as well if he didn't tell Bella Donna to stop hunting Domino. A short time later Razor-Fist reported to Bella Donna that he had lost Domino and that Wolverine was now involved as well. He could find them again because he had planted a tracer on Wolverine. Bella Donna ordered to hire every specialist available to hunt down Domino. When Wolverine and Domino arrived at the Assassins Guild's HQ and Wolverine refused to hand over the money in exchange for Domino's life Bella Donna sent Razor-Fist, her assassins and the hired help to kill them. X-Force posing as Hand ninjas joined the fight as well and defeated all assassins. During the fight Vanisher escaped Razor-Fist by teleportation giving Domino the chance to kill Razor-Fist. The hardened assassin started to cry like a baby and Domino showed mercy. Bella Donna agreed to leave Domino alone.

  • Reanimator is a mutant with the ability to control robots and other mechanical devices. Able on several occasions to reassemble them from their broken pieces, thus his codename. He used his ability to gain the necessary muscle for various robberies. His plans were repeatedly thwarted by the Skrull Wolverine, Nightcrawler and (more often) Nova/Richard Rider. He was eventually captured by the original Wolverine and the New Warriors. At the time he had lost his powers due to the High Evolutionary and had lost control of his robots.

  • Reb Tillis is forced to off Wolverine himself when his plans with a mystical inmate called Mauvais doesn't fall through. Sabretooth slashes Reb Tillis from behind and prevents him from killing a wounded Wolverine with a shotgun.

  • Reese is a member of the Reavers and former guard for the Hellfire Club.

  • An enforcer for Sally, a mobster from Venice Beach who had several run-ins with Wolverine and his robotic doppelganger, Albert. Reno and his partner Molokai were responsible for killing Jubilee's parents.

  • Morlock, who fought Wolverine and Punisher.

  • Reverb was a member of Gene Nation whose mutant power was a unique form of tactile telepathy. He served as the team's scout.

  • At some point, the Red Ronin robot was handed over to Fujikawa Electronics, a firm in Japan which worked with artificial intelligence. Yukio informed Wolverine about the Ronin project, and that the Japanese government, the Hand (a mystical sect), and Clan Yashida were all out to retrieve it. The two arrived at Fujikawa headquarters to find a group of the Hand arriving. The two fought the ninjas on and around Red Ronin. During the battle, Ronin was activated by Tsu Fwon, a Fujikawa employee working with General Hirito of the Japanese government. The two, along with Sunfire, attempted to shut down the robot. While Sunfire contended with one of Ronin’s detachable arms, Wolverine made it inside and stopped the leviathan seconds before it stomped on a bus full of people.

  • A scientist working at the relaunched Weapon X project.

  • Riptide a member of the Marauders. He is a Marvel villain that has the power to spin at superhuman speeds and fire sharp objects out of his tornado-like body. His neck was once broken by Colossus but he has since been cloned and brought back to life.

  • Roberto Estacado was a hitman during World War II. He was assigned to kill a man known only as Wolverine. Logan was in France at the time in a pub when Estacado arrived offering to buy him a drink. While Logan did not know of Estacado's ability to wield the darkness he knew his reputation as a killer who never missed. Logan proceeded to refuse the drink and departed. Estacado later found Logan and attempted to shoot him but Logan caught the bullet. Realizing this was no ordinary mark Estacado proceeded to unleash his dark power upon the unsuspecting target. Despite being momentarily surprised Logan cut his way through the dark creatures until he reached his target. Roberto faced Logan with the Canadian mortally wounding Roberto. It is only by sheer luck that the Darkness Entity was able to survive as Roberto did not survive the encounter himself.

  • A crime lord, who hires a mercenary to kill Wolverine after he stops his men from intimidating a bar owner in Madripoor.

  • A member of the Black Dragon Death Squad, Rock of Buddha was a martial arts team's analog to The Thing. He had half his body comprised of a rocky substance as well as spikes jutting from his spinal column. Despite his armored form he was not completely protected; as Wolverine was able to find a weak spot under his arms. With one precise strike to his rib cage Rock of Buddha crumbled into a pile of rocks.

  • Roger Fieldston is a mutant who can trigger the dormant or latent mutation of anyone he touches, transforming humans and mutants alike into monstrous creatures. His ability was eventually altered so as to allow him to reverse the transformations.

  • Rojas was the leader of an immigrant smuggling ring. Base Of operations: Mexico, USA While pregnant, she was confronted by Wolverine, who spared her life. She eventually died while giving birth to her daughter.

  • Little is known about Romulus. He has been shown, however, to be extremely intelligent with connections with various governments and government programs. Romulus was ultimately behind the Weapon X Program. Given his great lifespan, and the few instances revealed about his past, Romulus is an exceptional warrior, planner and tactician. He is shown to have orchestrated most major events in the life of Wolverine, manipulating and controlling him for most of his life.

  • Invulnerable enemy of Wolverine. Roughouse came into a number of conflicts with Wolverine. He are never able to defeat him.

  • A scientific genius, Ruby Thursday remade herself into an living human gynoid with a shape-shifting head. She is a member of the villainous Headmen. At some point, she was imprisoned in The Raft, which Wolverine broke her out of in his plan against Romulus. Ruby was contacted by Romulus and her daughter's life was threatened, forcing her to give Romulus the information to Wolverine's plans. When confronted by Wolverine, Ruby attacked, defeating him by impaling him with the tentacles she had formed with her head.

  • Beast, Wolverine, Rogue and Gambit come rescue Cyclops and Jean Grey after they were held captive by Mr. Sinister and the Nasty Boys. Ruckus hits them with a sonic scream that knocks them out of the complex.

  • Rufus and his relative Woody were the two of the Hulk Gang to actually kill Logan's family, and they were both killed by Wolverine, while washing the blood off their clothes in their nearby watering hole.

  • Wolverine helped Mana Yanowa defeat demon Ryuki and send him back to Hell when Hana Yanowa invoked his spirit.

  • A mobster from Venice Beach who had several run-ins with Wolverine and his robotic doppelganger, Albert.

  • Mbende was turned into one of many sleeper Prime Sentinels during a vacation to Belize. He and three others eventually received an email from “Bastion,” actually sent by Stryfe, that triggered their transformation, and they were given the task to hunt down Lady Deathstrike. Severely damaged while fighting the X-Men, Mbende went into self-destruct mode, hoping to kill some of his opponents.

  • The rivalry between Sabretooth and Wolverine began when Sabretooth seemingly killed Wolverine's lover, Silver Fox, on Wolverine's birthday, sparking a long tradition of Sabretooth tracking Wolverine down on his birthday to torment him. Sabretooth's attacks aren't simply physical. He also makes it a point to mentally torment Wolverine as well, drawing on his longtime issues with memory lapses and false programming to even convince Wolverine that Sabretooth was his father, those this ruse didn't last. Though Sabretooth has occasionally joined with the X-Men (and in the Age of Apocalypse universe was even a hero of Wolverine's standing), he always reverts to his savage, sociopathic, violent demeanor. And, like a bad penny, even when he's thought to be truly, finally dead, he keeps turning up. Sabretooth is Wolverine's ultimate nemesis, and no one is truly safe while he still lives.

  • Sack is a mutant with a gelatinous body that can possess people. He battled with Wolverine, Storm, Cannonball, and later Beast.

  • S'ym is the most physically potent native demon of the demonic realm called Limbo, also known as "Otherplace."

  • Sapphire was a mysterious woman who Wolverine met in Madripoor, who attempted to seduce him.

  • Quark was a professional psychologist, spy and mercenary. She was also a love interest to her pawn Havok/Alex Summers. She had several run-ins with Wolverine and Havok.

  • Wolverine tried to kill Scarlet Witch in events of House of M. Later Wolverine battled Scarlet Witch, when she was a member of the Hysteries.

  • During the battle with the X-Men, Scalphunter shoots Wolverine in the eye.

  • Bitten at a young age by a mutant Pteranodon, Karl Lykos is an energy vampire forced to absorb the life out of victims to survive. If he absorbs the life of a mutant, he transforms into the insidious were-pterodactyl Sauron.
