Santa Claus is most likely the most well-known holiday figure in America, if not the world. He has nine flying reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and the most famous : Rudolph. Traditionally Santa uses the magical deer to pull his sleigh giving presents to all good children in the world and coal to the bad. In modern times he is depicted as rotund, jolly, dressed in red with white fur trimmed clothing.

  • In December, 1943, Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler had Santa Claus captured to destroy the U.S.A.'s morale, but U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt sent Sgt. Nick Fury, Captain America (Steve Rogers), and Bucky (James Barnes) to rescue him.

  • Anti-Claus, as his name suggests, is the polar opposite of Jolly Saint Nick. Seeking to destroy all Santa represented, Anti-Claus attacked Santa and froze him to death...but not before Santa sent an elf to warn his son, Nick Norris. When Nick came to the North Pole, clad in a Santa suit, Anti-Claus attacked with his bullwhip. Nick stabbed Anti-Claus with a screwdriver, but since Anti-Claus had no heart, he was unfazed. Even after Nick pushed Santa's sleigh on top of Anti-Claus, severing his left arm, the Spirit of Taking just kept coming. Finally, Nick was able to seal the twisted Anti-Claus in Santa's magic bag, stopping him for good.

  • The evil Santa questions who Ash is, and the S-Mart staff member gives a brief speech explaining that the event is only for customers and employees, and not Deadites. Ash then opens fire on the store Santa, shooting him several times in his torso. The demonic Santa opens his coat, revealing an Elf-like creature growing from his chest. It begins to strangle Ash and taunt him. Ash gains the upper hand, and blows off the Elf-thing's head. Suddenly, a possesed plastic reindeer knocks Ash off his feet. Ash manages to land on top of it, and charges into their store's Santa Claus, impaling him into the chair with the reindeer's antlers. A little girl tugs on Ash's shirt, and asks him if he's the real Santa Claus. Ash responds by telling the kid to scram. Ash proceeds to cut up the defeated Santa and the reindeer with his chainsaw.

  • On Christmas Eve, Zedd and Rita send their troops (Rito, Baboo and Squat) to the North Pole to capture Santa Claus and his elves, thus preventing Santa from delivering his Christmas presents.

  • Jack Skellington once orders Lock, Shock, and Barrel to kidnap Santa Claus so that Jack can take over Christmas. He wants the trio to take Santa to their lair, but they instead take him to Oogie Boogie. Sally, who doesn't like Jack's idea of taking over Christmas, is worried about Santa Claus and wants to save him, but when she finds him, she is also captured by Oogie Boogie. Later, Jack hurries back to Halloween Town to save Santa and Sally. After Oogie Boogie is defeated, Jack apologizes to Santa, who then leaves to fix Christmas. He flies around the world and delivers real presents to the all the children.

  • However, in the weeks between Santa's arrival, naughty children risked being caught by Black Pete, who carried a jute bag and willow cane for that purpose. Santa stopped him.

  • Once on another December 24th, Cerebro, the mutant-detecting computer of the X-Men, detected "the most powerful mutant ever registered" in New York's Rockefeller Center. This being was also detected by the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (Unus the Untouchable, the Blob, the Toad and Mastermind) who sought it out, resulting in a skirmish with the X-Men. This ended when Santa briefly transformed the Brotherhood into inanimate toys, teleported the X-Men away, erased both groups' memories of his involvement, and then gifted the city with snowfall, the first white Christmas in years.

  • Slavic God of misfortune and Chaos, Chernobog opposed Santa Claus many times.

  • Doctor Octopus took over Santa’s workshop, imprisoned Claus, and forced the elves to create deadly toys that would be sent out to injure children. Scott Lang’s daughter received one of these toys. Destroying it, Lang, as Ant-Man, traveled to the North Pole to investigate. Discovering Doctor Octopus’ role in the affair, Lang shrank him down so they were the same size, and then battled him. Santa Claus, during their struggle, managed to free himself, and used his powers to restore both Ant-Man and Doctor Octopus to normal size. Doctor Octopus attempted to escape, but Rudolf stopped him. Octopus agreed to help Santa Claus load up his sleigh, and Santa Claus used his powers to shrink the load down.

  • Zedd and Rita once send Finster and other monsters to the North Pole to capture Santa Claus and his elves, thus preventing Santa from delivering his Christmas presents.

  • However four kids build a snowman and, in the vein of "Frosty the Snowman," put a magic silk hat on it to make it come to life. Unfortunately Frosty turns out to be evil and deranged, sprouting huge tentacles and kills Kenny (the Cartman-resembling boy). This leads Kyle to be the first to utter the famous line "Oh, my God! Frosty killed Kenny!". The boys go to Santa Claus for help, to stop the Frosty.

  • Goldar ordered the troops of monsters to capture Santa Claus.

  • Near the end of World War II, Grampa Simpson and Mr. Burns were stranded on a deserted island. On Christmas Eve, Santa flew over the island and Burns thought it was a Japanese, so he shot him down. Feeling sorry for what they did, they helped Santa by fixing his sleigh and gathering his reindeer (but couldn't find Rudolph and Prancer). When they were all ready, Santa was about to take off, then Burns hit him on the head with a coconut, stole his sleigh, and made all of the presents his. Grampa found Prancer, got on him, and took off to get Burns. Grampa caught up with him and beat him up with a tricycle. He returned the sleigh back to Santa and promised after he was done delivering presents, he'll come back and take him home, but never came back. Because of that, Grampa wanted to get back and kill Santa. But on one Christmas Eve night, Santa gave him his dead brother's lucky watch (the brother turned out to be alive after all). Santa told Grampa that his brother Cyrus survived and crashed in Tahiti, and his brother loved being there so much (because of his 50 wives) that he stayed. Santa took him to see his brother and they had a nice vacation there. While there Santa told him he didn't save Grampa because he was always putting it off and in the end, he was just too embarrassed to go.

  • In more recent years, on Christmas Eve, Santa saved New York City from the Hate-Monger (a clone of Hitler) when his sleigh - seen only as an unidentified flying object - soared through the air at unprecedented speed, distracting one of the Hate-Monger's pilots, who crashed into the Hate-Monger's nuclear bomb.

  • Jack Frost once tries to take control of Christmas and claim it as his own, as he is jealous of the attention and popularity of Santa Claus.

  • Jack Skellington does not understand the true spirit of Christmas and his obsession with Christmas leads him to usurp the role of Santa. Jack assigns Lock, Shock and Barrel, a trio of mischievous children, to abduct Santa and bring him back to Halloween Town.

The two reconciled, though they would later fight again in one case, when Santa felt unhappy that there are more Jesus-related Christmas songs than ones about him.

  • Once, accepting the Easter Bunny’s payment, Lobo traveled to the North Pole and blazed a bloody trail of destruction as he massacred dozens of elves just to reach Kringle's throne room. Santa Claus proved to be more than just a fat old man though. The two faced each other in brutal mortal combat, and Santa came at Lobo with two sharpened shivs. Lobo would not be defeated, and defeated his adversary by decapitating him with one of his own shivs. After that, he went outside and shot Rudolph. While this account seems incredible at best, Lobo has maintained that it did in fact take place. Later Lobo finds Santa's naughty/nice list and decides to spread his own brand of holiday cheer. He fills up Santa's sleigh with a-bombs then flies across the world dropping them down upon sleeping towns and villages.

A skirmish occurred between the Brotherhood and the X-Men, which ended when the Brotherhood disappeared, replaced by toys in the shape of the Brotherhood members. Santa Claus then appeared and apparently teleported the X-Men away with no memory of the incident to several blocks away, where they made their rendezvous. The X-Men were astounded that, despite weather predictions, it started to snow-- the first white Christmas in New York in years.

The lead bug is then squashed by Santa after it falls next to the pit. The rest of the bugs scurry off after this. Later Maleficent revives Oogie Boogie and sends him to capture Santa Claus, who leaves him hanging over the tracks for his scissor-tipped Oogie Train to drop him. Santa Claus was saved by Jack Skellington. When Oogie Boogie hijacked Santa's sleigh, Jack lets him use the same sleigh he used when Jack tried to improvise Christmas.

Santa, who is disheartened by the delusion of all the kids in the world being naughty, comes in on their fight. Princess tries to convince him not to listen to the Girls, though he has a hard time believing he shouldn't, since he knows that the Powerpuff Girls are really good people. Princess throws a tantrum in front of Santa and this leads Santa to realize that Princess deceived him, so he places her name on the Permanent Naughty Plaque and strips her of her superpowers when she tries to escape.

Not only did his plan work, but dispite Jenny's claims she was brainwashed by him she was banished from Tremorton by everyone in town including her own mother. Although, Sheldon was the only one who believed her pleas and helped her on her mission to prove to Santa that she was a "good girl." In the end, Sweeney soon learned the true meaning of Christmas and thus he was transformed into a loving, caring boy.

  • Dark spirit named Pitch Black, who describes himself as the Bogeyman, and derives his power from giving children nightmares. Bogeyman seeks revenge on the Guardians (Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Sandman) as well as the Man in the Moon for putting the Guardians in their place and making the children not believe/fear him. He can use a fear touch to turn light dream sand into dark sand and can conjure Nightmares that resemble monstrous animals like a horse, bat, and wolf. The Bogeyman tries to make the belief of kids in the Guardians go out and recruit Jack Frost join him, but is defeated by young child's beliefs and his own nightmares.

However Santa enlisted the help of Buzz and his crew to help Santa defeat Zurg and deliver the presents to the children all around the world.

  • Dexter wanted to prove to Dee Dee that Santa Claus doesn't exist, so he seted up a monitoring system on the roof. A man in red finally showed up and when he entered the living room, Dexter tried to take a picture to prove that it's just his dad in a Santa costume. When Santa resisted, Dexter decided that more drastic measures must be taken, taking the chase from the bedroom to the rooftop to the skies.

  • Ebenezer is a selfish and miserly old man who, has a particular hatred of Christmas (and the holiday season, in general).

  • Robotnik once has taken over Santa's position, to steal all the presents in the stores.

  • Dr. Claw once has managed to sneak into the Santa's factory, when Santa Claus and his elves was busy working on all the toys that he has to deliver. Dr. Claw has also somehow managed to install mind control devices on all the elves. When he activated them, the elves stoped moving, and Santa was suddenly grabbed by a big claw that has been installed over his head and dropped through a manhole in the middle of the factory. Once that's done, Dr. Claw ordered the elves to mess up the toys so that Santa's reputation will be ruined.

  • In Christmas Eve Plankton once reveals that he is always getting coal from Santa Claus, so this year, he vows to get what he wants - the Krabby Patty secret formula - by making everyone else in Bikini Bottom look worse by comparison. He aims to do this by making fruitcake laced with an element called jerktonium, which makes anyone who consumes the fruitcake turn bad, and make everyone in Bikini Bottom eat it so that they will all turn into jerks. However, since SpongeBob is immune to the jerktonium's effects, Plankton also sends out a robot look-alike named ToyBob to make SpongeBob look bad. In spite of SpongeBob undoing the effects of the jerktonium with his song "Don't Be a Jerk (It's Christmas)", Plankton's plan seems to succeed when Santa arrives and gives him the Krabby Patty formula because he appears to be the nicest guy in town. But after SpongeBob saves Santa from Toybob, Plankton's scheme is exposed, and Santa has his elves drop a bag of coal on him.

  • Jessie had revenge against Santa for having stolen her favorite doll ten years earlier. Jessie believed Santa is a thief - one Chistmas night, she waited for Santa Claus and soon heard something. She saw that a Pokémon, a Jynx, entered the room, dressed as Santa Claus and took a doll, then went away. She then stopped believing in Santa. Jessie was convinced that Jynx really is Santa Claus.

  • Meowth helped Jessie and James captured Santa Claus, for Jessie's revenge against Santa.

  • Scratch and Grounder captured Santa Claus, when Dr. Robotnik has taken over Santa's position and tried to steal all the presents in the stores.

  • Once in the North Pole, the actual intruders, the Delightful Children From Down The Lane (DCFDTL), take Santa Claus hostage. Despite Santa being well aware that they are evil brats, the Delightful Children insisted that they are good, well-behaved children, and they intend to "prove it" by making sure they get all of Santa's presents while all the actual good children get coal. In order that transport all presents to the homes of good children and coal to the homes of bad children, Santa uses his Reindeer machine. Unfortunately, the Delightful Children have taken control of the machine and used it so that all the good children's presents are switched out with coal and transported to the Delightful Mansion, despite Santa warning them not to do this. However Sector V and the Elfa Strike Squad appeared and battled with DCFDTL to help Santa. However, as a result of stealing all the good children's presents, the Delightful Children have mutated into furry green creatures resembling the Grinch and asked for Sector V's help. The Kids Next Door promptly draged them away from the machine, which turned them back to their regular forms, and had them tied up alongside the other defeated villains.

  • He is a four-ton robot designed by The Friendly Robot Company in 2801 to judge whether people were naughty or nice and sort out presents accordingly. Due to a programming error, his standards were set way too high, and he invariably judges everyone naughty (with the exception of Dr. Zoidberg) at least once. Every year on Christmas X-mas Eve, Robot Santa comes to Earth on his robot-reindeer sleigh to punish the naughty with extreme prejudice. It's said if someone is on the naughty list, and Robot Santa finds him or her, he will chop his or her head off and stuff his or her neck holes with toys from his sack of horrors. Usually though, he kills them using a variety of X-mas-themed murder devices and heavy ordnance.

  • Bowser once comes up with a plan to make everyone have an unmerry Christmas by kidnapping Santa Claus, freezing his workshop, and replacing the toys he plans to give out with broken ones. Unfortunately for him, Mario and his friends happen to be in the North Pole at the time he sets his plan into motion, and they show up just as he has frozen the workshop and made off with Santa. Bowser gets knocked out of his flying sleigh and has to continue his escape on foot, eventually coming to a cliff and threatening to drop Santa into icy water. But Bowser's hatred of the holidays proves to be his plan's undoing, since he ends up shouting about it so loud he causes an avalanche that results in him jumping into the water instead and then climbing onto an iceberg inhabited by an angry polar bear.

  • Scratch and Grounder captured Santa Claus, when Dr. Robotnik has taken over Santa's position and tried to steal all the presents in the stores.

One of Santa's elves recruited a number of other Santa's helpers - including Howard the Duck, Vito Claus, Bubba Clause, Santa Clara, Claus Tse-Tung, Sanity Claus and Willy Lumpkin Claus - to prevent Hydra from ruining Christmas. Ultimately Howard and the recently orphaned Dionysus Finster, who had latched onto Howard as the mall Santa and accompanied him to the North Pole, convinced Santa to renege on his deal with Hydra, and the various Santa's helpers joined forces with Santa and the elves to drive off the Commando Corps of Hydra Accountants.
