A former nuclear physicist and atomic researcher, Otto Octavius' life changed forever when one of his experiments went horribly wrong. From that day forward, he has set out to prove his superior intellect in a number of ways, but these plans are usually thwarted by Spider-Man.

  • MacDonald Gargan was a failing private investigator that was turned into the Scorpion with financial help from J.Jonah Jameson. He became the host of the Venom symbiote and was part of Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers. After it was taken by the US Government and he became The Scorpion once again.

  • The world's first "live streaming super-villain." She commits crimes to get more hits on her webpage.

  • After being shot by mobsters, her cousin Bruce Banner (The Hulk), saved her life by giving her a last minute blood transfusion of his own irradiated blood. From that point on Jennifer Walters was able to transform into the Sensational She-Hulk; a recurring member of the Avengers.

  • Shocker is a villain who has a pair of gauntlets that, when activated by a thumb trigger, can project a concentrated blast of air that is vibrated at an intense frequency.

  • A Lord of Chaos and Master of the extra-dimensional gods known as the Old Ones, Shuma-Gorath rules over hundreds of dimensions. He is best known for being one of the most powerful and terrifying adversaries of Doctor Strange. It is seemingly impossible to permanently destroy this evil god.

  • Sleepwalker is a guardian of the Mindscape, a dimension that borders on the minds of all intelligent life. Now trapped in the mind of Rick Sheridan. When Rick sleeps, Sleepwalker escapes.

  • James Sanders was a member of the Squadron Sinister known as Whizzer until he pursued a solo life of crime as Speed Demon. He eventually found himself a member of the Thunderbolts despite being unsure if he even wanted to reform.

  • Dr. Octopus became a recurring foe of Spider-Man after the accident that fused his body with his chest harness and transformed his mind, and thus turned him in an insane criminal.

  • Tony Masters, also known as Taskmaster possesses the ability to absorb knowledge and instantly replicate combat skills of anyone he observes. He has used these skills as a teacher to many super villains, henchmen, and even some heroes. In order to clean his record, he started working to the U.S. government as a combat instructor and currently serves as a member of S.H.I.E.L.D's Secret Avengers.

Combining the power of both worlds, Thor is arguably the greatest and mightiest defender of both . Armed with his powerful enchanted hammer Mjolnir, Thor is the mightiest warrior of Asgard, a founding member of the Avengers and one of the strongest, most powerful beings on Earth.

  • Tiberius Stone was a scientist, owner of his own multinational corporation (Viastone) and who then later worked for the Kingpin. He started working for Horizon Labs as a double-agent.

  • A 13 year old boy in the year 1985 who loves comics. He discovers that comic book villains have been brought into his world.

  • The cold, tall and monsterous looking Spider-Man villain who takes pride in his grim and death-like appearance, Lonnie Thompson Lincoln is a criminal enforcer who uses methods of intimidation and murder under the deserving nickname of Tombstone.

  • Toxin is the symbiote spawn/son of the vicious symbiote Carnage, and grandson of Venom. Toxin is also the most powerful of the symbiotes. Eddie Brock (former Venom, Anti-Venom) has been forcibly bonded to the Toxin symbiote.

  • A genius chemist who invented a potent multi-polymer adhesive and immediately decided to use his invention to commit crimes. First assuming the identity of Paste-Pot Pete, he changed it to the more intimidating name of the Trapster.

  • Swindled by his business partner out of his equal share of the profits from their company, Adrian Toomes set out for revenge by using a flying harness of his own design. He has however, met defeat several times at the hands of his arch-nemesis, The Amazing Spider-Man.

  • Rita DeMara became Yellowjacket after stealing the identity from the former Avenger, Hank Pym. She was a member of the Masters of Evil and the Femizons but ultimately joined the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy in their quest to keep the universe safe.

Charlotte was able to siphon the powers of the original Spider Woman, Jessica Drew and Julia Carpenter. Witter despised what Octopus had done to her and tried to kill him several times, but Octopus conditioned her through torture, sensory deprivation and starvation until she obeyed his every command, so long as he provided her with a steady diet of human blood.

  • After his family was killed by the mob, Special Forces Marine veteran Frank Castle became an army of one in the war against organized crime. The distinct death's head symbol emblazoned on his chest, he is now the violent force of nature known as The Punisher.

  • The first X-Man, Scott Summers possesses the mutant ability to emit powerful force blasts from his eyes. He is visually distinctive for the ruby quartz visor he wears to control his devastating power. A born leader, Cyclops succeeded his mentor Professor X to command the X-Men.

  • Piotr Rasputin is a Russian mutant who possesses the ability to transform his body into organic steel, giving him immense strength and durability. Colossus is among the physically strongest X-Men, and is a talented artist.

  • Delilah was a highly skilled assassin who came under the employ of the new Rose, Jacob Conover, during one of the many crime-boss gang.

  • Doctor Octopus and other villains fought Storm and the X-Men.

  • In the year 2099, Miguel O'Hara, the head of the genetics department for the Alchemax Corporation becomes the legendary hero know as Spider-Man.

  • Once a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Rogue has since become a veteran member of the X-Men. After many years, she has finally gained conscious control of her power to absorb the thoughts, abilities and memories of others through physical contact. She is currently a member of both the Avengers Unity Squad and the X-Men team, based out of Jean Grey's School for Higher Learning.

  • Doctor Octopus was taken to the Beyonder's Battleworld, where he fought a horde of heroes and plotted against Doctor Doom for leadership of the group of villains. Magneto came to the mutants' aid and was able to defeat Doctor Octopus in battle.

  • Professor Charles Xavier is the creator of the X-Men and founder of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. His dream of peaceful coexistence between mutants and humanity has long been the driving force for the X-Men. An immensely powerful telepath and scientific genius, Xavier was among the world's greatest masterminds. Killed at the hands of a Phoenix crazed Cyclops, Xavier's memory and dream still remains and motivates his X-Men to keep fighting for a world that fears and hates them.

  • Doctor Octopus took over Santa’s workshop, imprisoned Claus, and forced the elves to create deadly toys that would be sent out to injure children. Scott Lang’s daughter received one of these toys. Destroying it, Lang, as Ant-Man, traveled to the North Pole to investigate. Discovering Doctor Octopus’ role in the affair, Lang shrank him down so they were the same size, and then battled him. Santa Claus, during their struggle, managed to free himself, and used his powers to restore both Ant-Man and Doctor Octopus to normal size. Doctor Octopus attempted to escape, but Rudolf stopped him. Octopus agreed to help Santa Claus load up his sleigh, and Santa Claus used his powers to shrink the load down.

  • Titania battled Superior Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus' mind in Spider-Man's body).

  • Lightmaster teamed up with Wrecker and his Wrecking Crew in order to target Alchemax's latest device which would be able to sync with Lightmaster's powers. He and the Wrecking Crew ended up running afoul of Superior Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus' mind in Spider-Man's body) and the Superior Six.

  • Lightmaster received help from Absorbing Man, Blackout, Mister Hyde, Titania, and Whirlwind to fight Superior Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) and the Superior Six.

  • A U.S. army sergeant who was discharged and put into jail. He later became one of the strongest members of The Wrecking Crew.

  • Once a physicist who built a gamma bomb which was then stolen, the man later called the Thunderball was jailed after he tried to recover it. He there met the Wrecker and gained his powers. They joined forces with the Piledriver and the Bulldozer to form the Wrecking Crew.

  • The Masters of Evil (Absorbing Man, Blackout (Marcus Daniels), Bulldozer, Lightmaster, Mr. Hyde, Piledriver, Thunderball, Titania, Whirlwind) battled Sun Girl, Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus' mind in Spider-Man's body) and the Superior Six. During the battle, Mr. Hyde was buffeted by a giant spider robot. Their new leader, Lightmaster, stole a quantum particle engine, which Sun Girl (Lightmaster's daughter) activated, and the Masters of Evil disappeared.

  • Blackout and Masters of Evil fought Otto Octavius(in Spider-Man's body).

  • Piledriver is a superstrong member of the Wrecking Crew.

  • Lightmaster received help from Absorbing Man, Blackout, Mister Hyde, Titania, and Whirlwind to fight Superior Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) and the Superior Six.

  • Bennett Brant owed a gambling debt to gangster Blackie Gaxton, which he earned attempting to pay for his mother's medical bills. Blackie Gaxton ordered Bennett to get Doctor Octopus to Philadelphia, so the supervillain could break him out of jail. Bennett sent Betty to pick Ock up from prison. With the help of Doctor Octopus, Blackie Gaxton kidnapped both Bennett and Betty as insurance against anyone preventing him from leaving the country. Bennett was double crossed when Gaxton refused to free him of his debts, and was fatally shot during a battle between Gaxton's gang, Doctor Octopus and Spider-Man. He appeared to die in that same issue.

  • Gaxton forced Bennett to have his sister, Betty, assist him in making arrangements to have Doctor Octopus break him out of jail. Octopus freed Gaxton, and then brought him back to his ship in the harbor so he could pay him. Spidey traced them back there, but sprained his ankle swinging out to the dock and was caught. Gaxton had Spider-Man brought to him, but Dr. Octopus then revealed his plan to take over Gaxton's ship and steal all of his money. A big fight ensued, a three-way brouhaha between Spidey, Doc Ock, and Gaxton and his men. As Spidey tried to subdue Gaxton, the criminal shot at him, and though the bullets missed him, they hit Bennett, killing him. Dr. Octopus escaped, but Gaxton and his men were taken away by the cops.

  • Known for many years as the Green Goblin and Spider-Man's arch-enemy and murderer of his first love Gwen Stacy , Osborn fooled the world into thinking he's a hero under the guise of the Iron Patriot and outed many heroes as cowards. His downfall was caused by his own insanity when he led a Siege on Asgard. He recently came back as Goblin King.

  • Mister Oborus was member of the TVA. He dealt with the infraction involving Spider-Man (actually Doctor Octopus in Peter Parker's body) and the Future Foundation by bringing in the Freelance Peacekeeping Agent known as Death's Head.

  • The Gentleman tried to use Doctor Octopus and his Sinister Six for his plans.

  • Yuri Watanabe is a NYPD Captain who rose through the ranks alongside Jean DeWolff, and is an ally of Spider-Man. She is also the current Wraith.

  • As Cyborg X, Crimson Dynamo was apparently killed, when Care Labs was attacked by the Sinister Six (Dr. Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Hobgoblin, Mysterio).

  • Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) teamed up with Fulmina to defeat an alien army that worked for Thanos.

  • Dr. Octopus once invaded the Daily Bugle, taking its staff, including Kate, hostage. He demanded that Kate alert the media, letting them know that he had challenged Spider-Man to battle. She did so, but ninety minutes later, the wall-crawler hadn't turned up. After another hour had passed, Peter called into the Bugle; Kate appraised him of the situation, and he hung up. Octavius' patience had worn out, however, and he took Kate hostage and departed for his hideout, where he tied her to a chair. Spider-Man tracked Octopus down, and defeated him, freeing Kate.

  • Spider-Man, Daredevil, and the White Tiger foiled a jewelry store robbery by Dr. Octopus and his men, with the Tiger himself landing the knockout blow on Octavius.

  • Upon hearing that her love, Otto Octavius, was dead, she swore vengeance on the one responsible for it: the Superior Spider-Man (not knowing that this one is actually Otto trapped in Peter's body). Using Octavius machine, Angelina once again takes the form of Stunner and tries to hunt down Spider-Man, causing havoc in the city in order to draw the attention of his Spider-bots and minions and lure him. Otto, in Parker's body, tries to calm her down and almost reveals his secret (that he's actually Otto Octavius), but Stunner's blind rage prevents him to do so. Seeing no other option, Superior Spider-Man engages to battle, rendering Stunner powerless with his new and stronger web formula. He then sends a holographic transmission signal to his Spider-bots and order them to shut down the machine Angelina is connected to. As "Parker" goes to the university to meet his girlfriend Anna Maria, Stunner breaks out of his web and pursues Spider-Man, throwing a bus at him. As he holds the bus with his webs, his Spider-bots manage to sever the connection of the Virtual Reality Machine, destroying Stunner and leaving Angelina unconscious. Upon getting to Angelina's apartment, Spider-Man takes the V.R. Machine and take to his lab, where he creates a Virtual Otto Octavius back to his former glory in order to calm down Angelina and make her think Doc Ock is still alive. "Parker" uses this opportunity to break up with Angelina, saying that he has found a new love and will always care for Angelina. She is last seen in her apartment, crying on her knees, as the Virtual Otto Octavius leaves the scene.

  • Kingpin hears about how Superior Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus' mind in Spider-Man's body) has been using brutal methods to take down the local crime families which would leave a vacuum to fill. Kingpin's hideout Shadowland is attacked by Superior Spider-Man and Kingpin claims that this Spider-Man is much different than the Spider-Man he fought. While escaping, Kingpin kills his doppelgänger Smedley Kornfeld (who was hired for events like this) in order to fool Superior Spider-Man.

  • The man known as the Crime Master was affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan and the Friends of New Germany, which the chairman, Josef Ansell of the later organization made him the masked villain to undermine criminal society in New York City in secretly abducting African-Americans to be experimented in Dr. Otto Octavius' experiments. Crime Master was known for his violent reputation against anyone who are against him, in which he even personally knife his victims. Crime Master's actions was investigated from interferences from Spider-Man and was criticized from his superior for almost exposing Octavius' secrets and its connection to the Friends of New Germany. After escaping from the authorities after his henchman, Sandman beat up Spider-Man and killed by Jean De Wolfe and his men, Crime Master visited his lover Felicia Hardy and discovered that she solicited with Spider-Man. In retaliation, Crime Master beat Felicia and severely cut her with a broken mirror glass. Inevitably, Crime Master, as per instruction from Ansell, forced Octavius to close down his experiments and killing the prisoners. Fortunately, Spider-Man freed the prisoners and fought off the Crime Master's men. Crime Master desperately hold Robbie Robertson hostage just as federal authorities stormed Octavius' hideout in Ellis Island. Crime Master was then mercilessly vivisected and killed by Dr. Octavius as the mob boss was proved to be a liability to the Friends of New Germany.

  • During the "Ends of the Earth", Spider-Man called upon Big Hero 6 (GoGo Tomago, Hiro Takachiho, Fredzilla, Honey Lemon, Wasabi-No-Ginger, and Ebon Samurai) to help him defeat Doctor Octopus. The team, operating from the Giri Institute, confronted Doctor Octopus' Octobots, which Dr. Octopus had sent to Japan.

  • The young genius whom became a hero for the Japanese Big Hero 6 team.

  • Honey Lemon is a Japanese superhero and member of the Big Hero 6, who has a power purse in which she has access to another, unknown dimension from which she can pull out all kinds of items.

  • Spider-Man rallied many of Earth's heroes including the Big Hero 6 to help stop the construction of Doctor Octopus' satellites, which the villain would have used to accelerate global warming

  • One of the newest members of Japan's premiere superhero team, Big Hero 6, Fred possesses the unique ability to channel the power and aura of a mysterious Kaiju, to enhance his physical abilities and augment his strength.

  • Spider-Man rallies Union Jack, Sabra, Kangaroo II, and the Big Hero 6 (consisting of GoGo Tomago, Hiro Takachiho, Fredzilla, Honey Lemon, Wasabi-No-Ginger, and Ebon Samurai) to help stop the construction of Octavius' satellites. Spider-Man's group finds a deserted factory near the border between Symkaria and Romania. Doctor Octopus appears on the monitor, claiming victory as the last of his satellites had already been launched. When Spider-Man goads him to prove he was going to save the world, Doctor Octopus instead admits that Spider-Man was right all along. Octavius does not want the 'mediocre and mundane' to live on while his genius dies, and begins to burn everything on Earth's day side.

  • The second most powerful member of the Fantastic Four and the brother of Sue Richards. Due to an accident caused by cosmic radiation in space, he can manipulate fire, turn his entire body into it and fly.

  • Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross is former U.S. military general. He is father of Bruce Banner's love Betty Ross and was archenemy of the Incredible Hulk. Ross made a deal with villains to be transformed into a Hulk himself. As the ruthless and cunning Red Hulk, he attempted to destroy his nemesis and take control of the country before seeking redemption as an Avenger. After leaving the team,he formed his own group of Thunderbolts with other Anti-Heroes. He was recently depowered by Doctor Green.

  • Symkarian ruler and leader of a band of mercenaries known as the Wild Pack. More recently she has allied herself with Misty Knight, Paladin and the Heroes for Hire operation.

  • I.C.M. built a computer in the form of a human body in order to dramatize its powers. It was the greatest mechanical brain ever built. It has been recently seen as the newest member of the Sinister Six.

  • After being exposed to extra-dimensional energy, Lt. Monica Rambeau gained the ability to manipulate all energies of the electromagnetic spectrum. She has gone by many code-names over the years whilst utilizing these abilities as a crime fighter. Monica has served alongside the Avengers in various incarnations and operated as their leader for a time.

  • Kurt Wagner is a prominent member of the X-Men and former member and leader of Excalibur. He possessed the mutant ability of teleportation, as well as incredible agility and a prehensile tail. Nightcrawler was a devout Catholic, contrasting his demonic appearance. A swashbuckling trickster and former circus acrobat.

  • Black Knight have targeted Octavius for death.

  • The Young Masters attempted to murder Doctor Octopus, but were stopped by the Teen Brigade.

  • Gargantua was recruited by Doctor Octopus to join a new Masters of Evil team and storm Avengers Mansion. The Guardians of the Galaxy fought them off, vanquishing several of the Masters. Dr. Octopus, Gargantua, Puff Adder, and Shocker breeched the Mansion and fought with the Guardians until several Infinity War doppelgangers attacked. The two teams joined forces against the doppelgangers until they were rendered inert. After the battle, Gargantua, Puff Adder, and Shocker turned against Doctor Octopus (having fought with the Guardians now) and pursued him away from the Mansion (Guardians of the Galaxy I#28-29).

  • Jean Grey and Bruce Banner helped Spider-Man to fight Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man Family Vol 2 #9).

  • Powderkeg once was recruited to be a member of Doctor Octopus's version of the Masters of Evil. The group attempted to storm the mansion headquarters of the Avengers when the team was away on a mission. Unknown to the villains, this feat was made easier due to the fact that many of Earth’s super-powered individuals were being replaced by monstrous doppelgangers of themselves. The Masters of Evil were thwarted by the Guardians of the Galaxy who were visiting the mansion, but both teams were forced to band together to fight their doppelgangers. After defeating them all, Doctor Octopus hoped to continue the battle against the Guardians, but Powderkeg and the others refused to turn on the heroes who had helped them survive and disbanded after forcing Doctor Octopus to flee (Guardians of the Galaxy#28-29).

  • Doctor Octopus kidnapped Sally Floyd and Carlie Cooper (Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 #600).

  • The father of the former editor of The Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson, and currently married to Peter Parker's Aunt May.

  • Ben Grimm - The Thing - is the original, quintessential tough-guy of the Marvel Universe but because of his transformation he's also the tragic member of the Fantastic Four. Ben was an ace test-pilot until exposure to intense cosmic radiation mutated him into a rock-skinned monster with immense superhuman strength. Ben's exterior is much harder than stone and he has a gruff disposition, but inside he has a heart of gold.

  • Susan Storm is a founding member of the Fantastic Four and later the Future Foundation. She is able to create invisible force fields of any shape she conceives and able to turn herself and anything she's in contact with invisible.

  • Franklin is the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, also known as Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four. Franklin is an Omega-level mutant. Even at a young age he is one of the most powerful beings in the Universe.
