This is one of the better suedo tie-in stories coming out of OS. I have enjoyed what Bendis has given us month after month with this book. The volume as a whole has been spectacular.

Have to go with the classic DETECTIVE COMICS #27.(Of the popular covers given.)

I feel there are a few that have been slighted.

One of my first BATMAN comics I bought as a child: BATMAN #453 .Mike Mignola, y'all. This is what I imagine one of Bats' metal album cover would look like, had Bruce decided Batman was to be a heavy metal frontman.

One of the more recent covers that I found to be stunning was Greg Capullo's variant cover for DETECTIVE COMICS Vol. 2 #27. Very 1989.

But what about BATMAN #423? Back when I was in the 4th grade in 1990, this was one of the most sought after books for any 10-year old comic book reader. This cover set a new artistic trend for Batman.

I get it. I just don't know about seven-foot turtles. Michelangelo's characteristics are there for sure. But the Turtles are gigantic. My expectations--like many--are not very high for the newest film. (Plus, the "We've been waiting for you, Miss O'Neal," from the original film's teaser is burned in my memory.)

It's a different market now. Back in the late 80's/early 90's, the Turtles were a hot commodity. I don't believe the demand for a new Turtles film is there at this point in time. (Then again, I don't watch much Nickelodeon.)

A lot of websites/bloggers shot the film down when first seeing the actors in their CG suits. I was skeptical but wanted to see the finished product. The trailer leaves me with doubts, but I this film has my money already. I loved the Turtles as a 10 year old. I'll be interested to see how this new tale turns out.

Eisenberg is a major surprise. However, this should tell us that he's in it for the long haul. Jeremy Irons is a fantastic choice for Alfred. I am totally fine with all of this.

I came into this series COMPLETELY unfamiliar with most of the characters. By issue eight or nine, it made me go back and look more into Avengers Academy as well as Runaways. Nico and Bloodstone stood out in my mind as the two show-stealers, in my opinion. At the end of the day, I am just glad the main setting didn't end up to be just a computer simulation. You know what I mean? One of my top 10 best titles I read this year for sure.

I discovered this website around the same time Sara was hired by CV. In many ways, Sara being a part of the gang is what I've known. It'll be weird as I travel out of town on Saturdays and not hear Sara in studio, whether present or muffled inside a laptop, during CV's weekly podcasts. Please stop back in from time to time and let us know how you're doing, @babs!! Thanks for all of your hard work! Best of luck to you!!
