Impressive 1st issue. Most impressive. 0

This was a really good first issue. The art is beautiful and the characterization is great. Palpatine himself definitely feels like a master manipulator. Not sure how I feel about the retcon to why Sith lightsabers are red. On one hand it's definitely a Sith like fashion. On the other hand it feels a bit like it lost another unique thing. It's not the first time an idea like this has been tried before. I remember it playing a part in Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. I won't spoil ...

The best issue so far. 0

Okay I have to say that this issue was my favorite so far. I'm really enjoying the series. We get to see more of who exactly is America Chavez. We see her doubts, fears, confidence, and a plethora of other emotions. As I've said before I'm a bit biased because I'm a fan of the character. I've been trying to follow her stories since she first appeared in Vengeance. Take a wild guess who my favorite character was in that series. The scenes with her and Storm were the highlight of the issue for me...

A pretty good issue. 0

This was a pretty good issue. The pace is a lot more slowed down which I think it really needed to do. We see Ms. America having both ups and downs. The only real problems I can find are with some of the dialogue. It's not terrible but it could be better. I also felt the PSA portion of the comic went on a bit too long. That said it was a really good issue and I actually recommend it if you are a fan of the character. While not flawless it's a pretty good issue. So I give it a 4 out of 5....

Not the worst but not the best. 0

Maybe I'm a bit biased as a fan of the character but I thought the start was decent. However it's not perfect. The biggest problem it has is with pacing. Mainly that it goes by far too quickly in my opinion. There are character bits here and there but they tended to go by very fast and there's quite a bit of exposition. So there are some parts of the story I was unfamiliar with. Still that said it's a decent enough start. If you're a fan of the character I say at least check it out....

Surprisingly great. 0

Now I was skeptical of getting a look at this series because of the bad publicity the title got on it's last run but this was really good. I didn't get the last arc but I did get this issue where it showed some of the fallout. I definitely want to know more about this Bow of Ra Artemis is looking for. Bizarro's Friendship with Jason really tied the thing together for me. I've heard it compared to Mice and Men but I've never read/watched Mice and Men so I have no idea if that's true or not. Stil...

Unchained Double Header of Great Writing. 0

Okay this is the 3rd time I'm making this review. I found the book too be very well written. I've also found the Batman cameo to highlight the friendship between the two. The development was good and gave us insight into Superman's mind. Which isn't something I often see but that might be because I'm not as big of a fan. I recommend this issue....

Unchained awesome! 0

Warning minor Spoilers. Okay let me start this by saying I'm not an expert on Superman Nor have I ever been a really big Superman fan. But I liked Man of Steel so when I saw the name Snyder on this I had to get it. I have to say it's very interesting to see the stages on how artist work on a book. I also enjoyed the pictures showing the different incarnations of Superman at the back. Now onto the Story itself.I have to say it's not what I expected. I had actually expected this to be a tie-in to ...

Day of judgement? More like Day of awesome team-ups. 0

This was a very good tie-in to the Day of judgment story arc that was going on during the time. It shows a great team up with the Marvel family. It doesn't however forget that it's a book about Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. Which is definitely good the last thing you want in a team-up is for one side to overpower the other. There's also some good drama from the pair and we see some clear and understandable arguments from both sides of the friction. There is one thing that kind of bugs me but it's kin...

Two Adventures for one! 0

This was a really fun issue. The characters are showing both strengths and flaws which is good. We start off by ending last issues cliff hanger. Then we move on to some of the drama between Courtney and Pat. Next we have a second adventure with a giant Mosquito or at least that's what the bug looked liked to me.I really hate mosquitos since they seem to think I'm a buffet so I might be biased when saying that's a scary thought. We also see the set up for some future issues including a few deta...

True colors of being over the top! 0

I'm making this a mostly spoiler free review. The villain of this is over the top but I don't think we were supposed to take him seriously. I mean would you take a guy named Paintball seriously? I feel it was supposed to be a bit of satire for some of the goofiness comics can have. But the heart of the issue is the family dynamic where we see that Courtney's dislike for Pat is clearly unchanged and she's still not happy about being moved to her new home.On the Brightside she still has her friend...

New kid on the block getting a New Review. 1

## At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this issue. There are a few things I find weird which is some of the villains being over the top and some people making rash judgments but it's not terrible. Some stuff works and some doesn't you do see the relationship that we don't normally see from comics. It's not a bad start but it feels like it should be made longer. We'll see how things are in issue 2....

Pilgramage of Emotion. 1

Okay I for one really liked this issue. The art was pretty good and it was great too see what Martian Culture was like before J'ohnn became the last of them. You can clearly feel the emotions that he was feeling during this. That being said if you aren't a fan of the Martian Manhunter I'm not sure if this would make you one. The comic at time felt a bit too wordy as well. All in all a good issue that I think people should check out and decide for themselves....

Awesome old faces and old places! 8

This was another good issue. It has great humor and drama. We have Justice trying to convince Kaine to stick with the New Warriors and why he should. As well as a nice reunion with Wally Layton from the previous Scarlet Spider series. There's even some fun with the other members. The art is also very good too. I give this one a five out of five....

Edge of Potential. 0

I found this too be a pretty good story for this New Spider-Man. The character and the world seemed interesting and I liked that it referenced other character that are in the world. The protagonist is likable and the artwork is really good. The one problem is that it feels too short. I personally would like too see more of this world and hope Dr. Aikman makes it out of spider-verse ok as it could be interesting too see what this universe is like....

Brute Force of Awesomeness and hilarity. 2

I learned about Brute Force in Linkara's awesome series atop the 4th wall. I found the reviews to be funny as well as the comics. This is one of the funniest comics I've read. They kept what made Brute Force fun which was definitely a good thing. I was afraid it might be bad and just be a culling. So I'm giving this a high recommendation for buying it....

Captain's Glorious start. 0

When I first opened this I wasn't sure what I'd be expecting. What I found was a nice throwback to some classic comics while making a story of it's own. The main character I found to be likable and had a clearly planned out backstory. I actually want to read more about this. I did like that it showed what books were connected on the inside cover. All in all a pretty good start for the character....

An alright Done in one. 0

I have to be honest I'm not getting all the hype for this. It's not terrible but it's not great either. There's nothing really bad about it but I feel it's kind of overrated. It's a nice done in one but it didn't make me fall in love with the character....

A great end to a great battle! 2

Another awesome issue. I have one question. WHY ISN'T THIS SERIES BEING PROMOTED MORE!?!?!? Ok obligatory question aside this is another great issue. You see the members of the team play off each other really well. The art is excellent. the characters are varied and likable. The villains are threatening but not unbeatable. This series is probably one of the most awesome I've ever found. I'm definitely getting the rest of this series. It's much more entertaining then some of Marvel's Mainstream ...

New Warriors New Awesome Adventure. 2

This series is great and this issue is no exception. The plot is interesting. We learn a bit of backstory for Water Snake and Haechi and the villains look like they could be a recurring nemesis team. There's some good humor that gives everyone some time to shine in the series. It's a really good first arc with an interesting cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. The Art is something I haven't talked much on in each of these reviews However I'll start here. The art has been great. It's no...

New Warriors has made me a fan for life. 0

Okay when I first started reading this series it was mainly for Scarlet Spider and Hummingbird. Now I am a definite fan of all the team members. Justice's speech here is what made me a fan of him. I'm hoping we get more issues of this series. It's just plain awesome. The other characters are great too. I'm interested too see more on the plot with Namorita and Water Snake. I also want to learn more about Aracely....

The City of love becomes a city of mystery. 0

This is a very good start too the series. You see conflicts within the team forming and a good starting point to a murder mystery. The scorecard that list's all the team members at the back of the book is very helpful for new readers. There is one thing that bugs me though. The art while decent for the most part seems a little weird in certain panels. For example on the cover Animal Man looks to be in his 60s and I'm pretty sure that's not the case. There are also times where the anatomy of Capta...

The Kids are all fight and look good doing it. 2

This is a great conclusion and show of character interaction for the team too come together. You can tell while the characters may have some experience they still have a lot to accomplish to become a full team. This is very good as it can lead too further character development. The book has a good balance of humor, drama, and action. The art is very good as well....

Terrible characterization from Superior left over. 0

The complete and total character assassination of Black Cat as well as the picking and choosing of continuity makes the thing unenjoyably. I won't even get in to the dumb argument their using to try and make Peter MJ stay apart. I once thought you couldn't write any worse than OMD if you tried. Dan Slott is actually making me question that in the worst possible way....

Digger's picking up steam. 0

I enjoyed the issue. The art was very good, and most of the characterization I liked. feel the working chemistry between MJ and Peter is very good. I personally can't believe marvel would choose to end something like that. The humor was also nice. This was another good issue having great suspense on the threat Digger is....

The Boys are back and they bring suspense. 0

I liked this issue and thought the new villain had kind of an interesting backstory. Lamont and Peter's interaction was kind of funny. It's nice to see Peter happy after going for a long spell of bad luck. The chemistry between Peter and MJ is great as always. the art is pretty good as well....

I completely love this issue. This has and probably always will be my favorite issue. To me this has just about everything A Spider-Man story should have. Action, Drama, Humor, and good Characterization. The cover is something that has always stuck to me ever since I first read it. This will probably Always be my favorite Spider-Man story....

One of the best 'Nuff Said isssues ever written. 0

There's an old saying a picture is worth a thousand words. I say this comic is worth a million words all conveyed without dialogue. You can clearly see the emotions of all the main characters. I think this is another good example from JMS's run. If I had to give this thing one flaw it's that it feels like it should be longer....

An underated issue. 0

This was a very good issue. The plot was good and set up an awesome twist. I've just recently re-read and I have to say this. I'm actually surprised this comic isn't more well remembered. This is definitely one of the best issues JMS has ever written. Now if only I could find my copy of the issue after it....

Not a Bad start. 0

I felt this was pretty good. It kept the elements that made Scarlet Spider great while at the same time giving everyone else a bit of time to develop on panel what their doing. The plot leaves you with a mystery wanting more. It's not flawless but it is good. I couldn't wait to read the next issue when I finished reading this one....

Worst Spider-Man story of all time. 0

The worst Spider-Man story of all time. I don't think you could make a Spider-Man story worse if you even tried. Quesada is simply wrong that the marriage made Spidey older since it didn't. None of this story makes any sense. I'd rate it zero except that the rating system won't allow me to do so. It was an unneeded unwanted editorial mandate that added nothing of value....
