To be honest, whether or not there is a Canary Cry makes no difference to me. Also it has been stated in the show that Laurel's Mother left, not that she died.

Now I'm no professional by any means, but it seems to me it makes more sense to set it up at a Trilogy with Vandal Savage (home born villian) to pull the league together, Braniac to act as the outsider villan for a second movie and, in laymen's terms, to have Darkseid as the main villian for the final film.

The biggest problem when it comes to the League is just it's to powerful. The reality is there really isn't a threat out there in the universe that Superman and Batman by themselves couldn't take out, between Clark's ungodly power, and Bruce's Obsessive compulsion. When you add Wonder Woman's god like nature to cover possible magical threats, and the most powerful weapon (GL ring), the Fastest Man Alive...and of course everyone's favorite Martian and Merman...you really do have to go big from the go. Considering that most of these villans get their collective asses kicked by only 1 member of the league, I can totally see why DC went the Darkseid route.

...besides, as cool as it would be, does anyone else think a Justice League/Legion of Doom movie would just turn into Mortal Kombat Annihalation, meaning a ton of cameos and plot and acting be damned?

hmmm...I'm sorry but no. Watchmen has transcended comics and went into literature. I wouldn't read a prequel to Moby Dick or Stephen King's IT. Won't read these. I also sincerely hope that this isn't some attempt at trying to work these characters into the nDCU.

I am impressed by everything I've seen and heard so far. I'm even glad they are going with GA for the first run. As disappointing as Wonder Woman falling to the wayside, I'm glad they are giving another comic book character a shot, and it makes sense that it would be Oliver, considering how popular GA was on Smallville. Now someone needs to get around to making a Martian Manhunter series that's losely based on the X-Files...>.>

All in all with the movie I was pretty impressed by it. The voice acting was top notch, as was expected, and except for a couple of little issues (like can you really have a LEGION of Doom with only 6 villians?) I will admit I was a little sad not to see Aquaman in this, but was impressed with how they did introduce Cyborg into the team (much better then how it's been done in Justice League).

Also loved the tribtue to Dwayne McDuffie. His contribution to comics will always be remembered.

Can't believe it's taken this long to bring Billy back. Since they are going for a more mystical take, I have to admit I am a fan of the hooded look. Gives him less of an obvious "Wish I were Superman" look and more of a mystic warrior kinda feel.

It seems like too many people are misunderstanding the naysayers. I see too many people chiming in that Cyborg 'Is a good fit for the Justice League' or that he's 'Earned the position.' We're not saying he hasn't. Most of us are perfectly okay with the inclusion of him as a core member. But he hasn't earned a FOUNDING position, especially not with the rebooted origin they gave him where he just stumbled his way into founding the most iconic superhero team within seconds of becoming a super. In the DCnU, he HASN'T earned even his League membership yet, he never did any of his stuff with the Teen Titans.

Some of us would even be okay with J'onn leaving the Justice League and Cyborg filling his now empty slot. What's unacceptable is taking away J'onn's most recognizable achievement and giving it to Cyborg. Especially when DC took away nearly everything that made CYborg deserving of the slot. How many of you supporters of this want Cyborg to have this spot because 'He's earned it?' Why did he earn it? BECAUSE OF HIS YEARS WITH, SUPPORTING, AND THEN TRAINING THE TEEN TITANS. Now he doesn't have any of that anymore. It's only nostalgia that gives him the right.

Amen brother.

@War Killer: @DarthShap: I do not disagree with either point. A reimagining would have been nice. The fact that they have stayed SO close to the original ideas is why it's making this harder to digest in the first place.

@Outside_85: Fair enough.
