I'm no fan of his recent work with Nemesis and I don't know about this whole MS thing, but Millar has done some really great stuff in the past and I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt. So I'm open to the idea.
Although I would just like to point out that Marvel kind of already did their take on Superman. Sentry, and as far as I'm concerned it was not one of their better ideas, so heres hoping Millar does a better job.
I think all of this is kind of ridiculous. If Fox wants to put out another poorly done X-Men movie thats fine (well not really, but whatever), but don't call the movie X-Men: First Class and then start throwing in which ever characters you think is cool.
What they should be doing is making a movie that focuses on the actual first X-Men, so that they stay somewhat true to the comics, and add a new spin to their origin. Something that focuses on actual plot and depth and on the side have badass special effects and action. NOT the other way around like they've been doing.
I've really lost faith in Fox's ability to make a decent comic book movie. It feels like all they really care about is trying to make something marketable instead of something thats genuinely good.
