I have no problems with her appearing in comics as long as it's done tastefully.

My only question is where does the credit rightly go for her "First Appearance?"  Comicvine credits the comic ( Smallville: The Comic #1) but doesn't it really belong to the show?  Or does that not count because it's a different medium?  And while were at it how many licks does it take to really get to the center of a lollipop?

I've been following the Walking Dead comics since the cover of issue 5 caught my eye, and while there are certainly some things from the comics that I felt were essential that they've skipped over (or maybe just haven't gotten to yet) I still think they're doing a great job with the series.

Ultimately deviation from the comics is absolutely necessary for a multitude of reasons and it's important not to get hung up on that.  What's important is that they respect and stay true to the spirit and feel of the comic and it's characters.

This certainly sounds interesting, but I have to comment that saying "PJs are the most elite Special Forces school in any of the military branches" is a bit of a stretch.  I'm not saying these guys aren't hardcore, but I just don't see them outranking Army Green Berets, Navy Seals, or Marine Corps Force Recon.

I'm primarily a Marvel fan, but growing up it was Superman that first introduced me to comics.  So several times over the last few years I've really tried getting back into DC comics and mainly Superman, but every time I tried I've either felt underwhelmed by the character and storylines or overwhelmed with all the craziness going on in DC.

To me this felt like a fresh start that would be a great launching point for a series of comics that's not as hectic and more clearly defined than the mainstream series.

Absolutely loved it!

I only have one small complaint.  In the beginning at the shootout Rick tells whatshisname to load a round in the chamber and take the safety off his gun, but the guy is carrying a Glock.  The only safety on Glocks are on the trigger which is disengaged by simply pulling the trigger.  What the guy thumbs in the scene is the slide lock which would have done nothing.

I know I'm being a little anal but anyone who works in law enforcement would have known that.
