The Rankin Way: Superman #3

A Halloween reveler dresses up as Superman for the night, but due to the character's quasi-mythic nature, when he is transformed into the Last Son of Krypton, it is as an amalgam of the most prominent versions of the character which can be found in his mind. He gains all of their accumulated powers and abilities, as well as all of their knowledge. And as if by the will of whatever agency engineered his change, he finds himself in possession of both a Kryptonian nano-forge as his belt buckle and a Kryptonian seed/control crystal with which to build a Kryptonian hostile-zone Embassy Module.

But these Kryptonians are all bioengineered. Very much as the Kryptonians in Ravanne's great fic "Not in Kansas" TtH: Not in Kansas, their powers are not dependent on stellar radiation, nor are they vulnerable to either Kryptonite or magic.

However, as if being transformed from a regular human being into what could be arguably called the pinnacle of bipedal life-forms wasn't stressful enough, he is subsequently translocated to the Marvel 616 Earth. Not so much transported as thrown and left to his own devices, several tens of thousands of miles above Earth.
