Sorry, but I will never regard Dan Slott as a professional writer, but more of a lucky fan-fiction writer. When Dan says "these are just comic books" it really devalues the literary impact comic book stories can convey, because Dan Slott does not have the writing craftsmanship to produce plausible, mature and engaging story lines. IMO, Dan Slott is the Sid Philips of comic books, the worst comic book writer of all time, destroyer of characters and a wordsmith he definitely isn't.

The FANTASTIC FOUR is about family, relationships, super heroics and scientific exploration, ALL of which Dan has no experience in and is not qualified to write. He has no grasp of basic science concepts, of maths or physics and has even admitted to making (comic book science) stuff up on the fly. Fair enough that we all suspend our disbelief when reading super hero comics, but Dan's mindset brings levels of absurdity and again no sense of plausibility to his stories.

So, get ready for nonsensical plot lines, cringey crap dialogue, silly irrelevant pop culture references, toilet humor and out of character developments. Why?.........because he has loved the FF since his childhood and these are stories he has always wanted to tell....blah...blah....blah......BS.

I will read Slott's FF tripe for free at my LCS and put it back on the shelf. The guys there don't mind customers who buy a substantial amount of comics doing that. It's how I kept up with Slott's Un-Amazing Spider-Man bordello. I cared even less about his Doctor Who (out of character) Siver Surfer crap.

Lastly I think C.B Cebulski is now a proven fraud and just as much a part of the gross narcissism and nepotism at Marvel Comics. He's buddies with all the SJW's and I won't be fooled again.

@bjparks: anti-climactic ending? How was that anti climactic?

I didn't realize it until I watched the movie a second time, but I felt like there wasn't enough action in the final fight scene. I was hoping that at the end Peter would lay Toomes out, but that didn't happen. That may be partially due to Tom's vision of not having Spider-Man throw any punches in this first movie, which I respect. But I would still have liked some more action.

"Spider-Man Homecoming" wasn't a genuine adaptation of 616 Spiderman at all. Everybody knows it was really a Miles Morales movie but with Peter Parker as the substitute lead. By all means, make a proper Miles Morales film, but a mature, sophisticated, melodramatic, action packed adult Spider-Man film is long overdue.

In the mainstream Amazing Spider-Man 616 continuity, Peter Parker has been a mature (not under Dan Slott) adult for forty plus years. All attempts to making a Spider-Man film have been a throwback to the High School years which only lasted for approximately fours years in the original comics.

IMO, Homecoming was a joke and the over the top comedy-centric MCU is becoming predictable and boring.

Honest question, what would a sequel have to do to win you over (considering he'll still be in high school)? Something like Spectacular Spider-Man?

Honestly, I get why the MCU are starting fresh with the High School years again, but as I said in my previous post, this only lasted a very short time in the original mainstream comic books, before Peter graduated and by the early 70's was a mature adult. The "Amazing Spider-Man" title popularized Peter Parker / Spider-Man for over forty years and is the one I grew up. That's the Peter Parker / Spider-Man I eventually would like to see on screen.

So the current throwback to the High School years is kind of baffling and annoying. In terms of animations I prefer Spider-Man - The Animated Series from the 90's.

Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis’s Justice League International was a huge success.

@magnetic_eye Who is Mags Vissagio lol?

Brian Visaggio OR Magdalene Visaggio as she prefers, is a transgender comic book writer who hasn't transitioned yet, (just wears a wig) advocated on Twitter that all cis gender straight white males deserve a baseball bat to the teeth. This was in response to some criticism of her comic books (Kim & Kim, Quantum Teens Are Go) being propaganda books that are poorly written. She was apparently picked up by DC's writing workshop for new talent, but her name is omitted from the talent pool list when recently published.

Would Mags have retweeted a picture of baby Muhammad in a two dads nativity scene?

Would Mags have retweeted two Muhammad's gazing over baby Jesus?

Something tells me "No" for fear of retribution. Double standards avail much with some.

All the editors need to go and be replaced with people who actually appreciate Marvel comics and what it means to work for such a company.

^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^

Also get rid of all the SJW writers and assistant editors. Bring back Jim Shooter!
