Glad you enjoyed it. It sounds as though "Homecoming" will be a box office smash. For me, I'll view it when the DVD comes out.
I still have a lot of reservations about this film given that Phony Sony is still involved, plus I'm not really a fan of Teenage Spidey, although I do think Tom Holland is a great actor.
I grew up reading about an adult Spider-Man for more than four decades and an adaptation with a mature adult Spider-Man is the one I want to see on screen. :-)
How Bendis is one the highest paid people in comics is still beyond me. His dialogue and the way the characters interact is so shuddered and unavailing. Not to mention the selling point of this book is based on controversy.
I have never really been impressed with anything this guy has done. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No. She had zero connections with him. She had zero connections with his story. She just came out of nowhere together with all other... Moon Girls because politically correct SJW wanted so. She is not a good replacement. Bendis just pulled same trick with Miles - death of white guy and black replacement. Only exception is that now he introduced her before he killed off Iron Man.
I wonder how the Marvel universe would look if the creators from the 70s and later just gave up, and lived off the glory days of the 60s/50s/40s, re-creating Spider-Man and Captain America over and over again with different characters.
What a boring universe that would be.
The Marvel universe right now is very boring.
^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^
This is why my Marvel pull list is at it's lowest ever in 40 years of reading comics.
Despite the trailer looking great from a production point of view, it's really more of the same formulaic Marvel Studio fanfare, lots of jokey jokey moments and BS Tony Stark inventing everything in the MCU.
So they basically took Miles' Spider-Man concept and gave it to Peter, and renamed Ganke's character as Ned Leeds.
I find it really bizarre that Marvel/Disney/Sony are only using material from the "Ultimate Spider-Man" title, because Peter and Miles are teenagers. Hopefully when the teen movies are all done and dusted, we can move on to the more mature adult Peter we are used to - the way he has been for 90% of the time in comics history.
I find it funny that so many people associate Peter with being a teenage superhero, where in the original 616 ASM run he was only a teenager for a very short time.
I hate to say it but they need to reboot the whole X-Men franchise. The continuity and ages of people make no sense, which is a problem when you specifically go out of your way to place a date to each movie. It's really tough for me to believe that Apocalypse occurred 20 years after first class. This universe also doesn't embrace the fantastical nature of X-men comics (at least not enough for me) and comes off more boring.
