Bette Kane is the Earth II counterpart to Bat-girl (Betty Kane) on Earth-1. Bette Kane never became Bat-girl on Earth II simply because, there are two reasons!

1. She is supposed to be 20years older than Betty.

2. There were no Teen Titans on Earth II, Simply because Aquaman and Green Arrow were not members of the JSA, and the counter part to Wonder Girl (Donna) was Fury who was a member of Infinity Inc.

Bette (Mary Elizabeth Kane) was still the niece of Kathy Kane, but only Kathy Kane became Bat-Woman. Bette went on to be a Tennis Pro. While her counter part became Bat-Girl.

After the death of Bat-Woman on Earth-1, Betty (Bat-Girl) was never seen again.

During COIE, Bette made the transition to New Earth, a Earth I call Earth-Crisis, and donned Bat-girl's costume in order to talk to Robin (As depicted in one of the Teen Titan's issues) of which I can't remember which one it was. Anyway after that meeting she became Flame Bird.

So this is the way I see it! Batman was Robin when he first started out, but because he really did not have a name and was not really known as Robin, and dropped the red and green in lieu of becoming Batman.

Yes, Bette did done Bat-Girls costume but only to talk to Dick. Once that was over she became Flamebird and that's who she has been until the new 52. So, as for being Bat-girl she never was!

Reference for these events are Adventure Comics #462 March("Death of Batman")

Detective Comics #468 Aug-Sept ("Death of Batwoman") by Bronze Tiger (pictured on the cover) ordered by the League of Assassins. If you recall Brave and the Bold #82, 1982 (Three years after Kathy's murder), Bruce traveled to Earth II and teamed up with Batwoman and Robin, this event places Batwoman on both Earth, and proves that Bette Kane never existed on Earth II, as Batgirl, and the issue of Crisis on Infinite Earth's where she made the transition to New Earth and Betty was never see or heard from again.

Dear Sir’s or Madame;

I am trying to find out if “John Stewart” the alternate Green Lantern from the Silver Age

Is still around? If so, which Earth does he live on?

In your write up on John, you wrote!

The New 52

After Hal's expulsion and Kyle's departure, John Stewart joins Guy Gardner and others in investigating

recent attacks in a distant sector of space, which are revealed to be the result of an old Guardian experiment.

At one point, John is forced to kill another Lantern who was about to give in to torture and reveal the access

codes to the Oan defence network.John is approached by the Alpha Lantern to arrest him for the murder of

Green Lantern member. And in the night before his execution he is being saved by Guy Gardner who is

announcing war to the Alpha Lanterns and he isn't alone.John has on his side Guy,Kilowog,Isamot Kol,Salaak

and several more Lanterns who are fighting for him and to save him from execution.

Are you saying he is on Earth-0 (New Earth) or Earth-1 in the new 52?

Please clarify!

Thank you.

I read the story in 1979 about the death of Bat woman (Kathy Kane), having a hit place on her by the League of Assassins and being carried out by the Bronze Tiger. I also know that in Brave and the Bold #182, 1982 Batman of Earth-1 teams up with Robin and Bat-woman of Earth-2. So before Crisis there is only one Bat-Woman, and two Bat-Girls (Betty and Barbs)both on Earth one, the Bette on Earth two was never Bat-girl, she went tennis pro long before Bat-Girl of the Titans. I also know that Bette (Mary Elizabeth Kane) made the transition fro Earth-2 to Earth during Crisis while the three last Earth's were merging. She becomes Flamebird. So now we are "Back To The Future" with Katherine Kane and the rest of the Batman Family.

Now you tell me there is the original Bat-Woman of some early age, I won't mention now. I can only imagine that it could be Bat-Woman of Earth-2, since we all know she was the last surviving Bat-Woman of that era. I am asking if this is the case, because now I am getting confused! A little clarity if you please!
