I made a mistake in a character page I made. The character is Sister Mary Rose not Sister Rose Mary. Could someone please fix. Sorry about the mistake. Thank you.
Interesting post. I'm not sure I see the appeal of listing characters by number of self-titled books but I think I can understand the desire to give more exposure to some underrated characters. I like a lot of the characters on your list, including Hellcat.
In regards to hellcat in particular I got the impression that the current Hellcat was basically a reboot/retcon of the older "Patsy Walker" character. Is that not the case? Or are we going with a composite version here?
In this case you are the director, so you can choose what part of her history to include. My point with the list is many comic fans are too focused (in my humble opinion and experience) on the now. There is little look at the history of characters, especially now when they are rebooted after only a few years. Character like the Blue Beetle was huge in the 1930's and 40's but is pretty obscure now. This goes without saying for characters like Captain Marvel (the original), Plastic Man and Blackhawk. What I get annoyed by, is when people make these "best comic characters ever lists" and then only base their list on the last X ammont of years and ignoring the full history. If you have the best characters EVER. You need to look at it historically. Not at just who is big now. I was trying to find a way to measure that as unbiasedly as possible. I hope you liked it and if you did I hope you will recommend it. It took months to put it together and to keep it up.
