It's a good list since these sorts of rankings are hard.

Sometimes its hard to tell if a power is universal or multiversal, especially when time travel is involved (such as with Sise-Neg's time travelling).

Then there are entities which have very few feats or may have performed feats while assisting others (such as Scathan assisting the LT).

Finally there's poor writing, wherein entities are said to lack powers which they clearly possess (such as the Beyonders who were defeated because they lacked temporal capabilities, even though they had defeated masters and embodiments of time).

Good team. I really wished Marvel used Sersi more often, to her potential. Also it'd be interesting to see how Punisher / Cosmic Ghost Rider makes it into the main universe.

Some good points. I especially agree with the following.

- A) Way to many relaunches.

To me, all the relaunches show that either Marvel doesn’t have a plan for its flagship titles or there’s something going on around issues of story ownership. Maybe each new creative team wants a #1st issue to their name.

- D) Stupid events and stupid tie ins.

Ever since the Bendis era, there have been to many events with unnecessary tie ins. Personally I don’t mind a tie in once in awhile, but not one every year. Worse still, these events often try to change the status quo and are an excuse to do relaunches.

- F) Screwed their cosmic hierarchy big time.

Post Illuminati, the whole Marvel cosmic hierarchy has been a mess.

Dr Doom defeats the Beyonders because they can’t time travel. Even though the Beyonders can defeat entities with superior time travelling abilities to Doctor Doom.

Black Panther using the Panther god to battle against the Chaos/Order/Logos thing. Even though that very being defeated the prime celestial host and Living Tribunal.

Then there’s the issue of The One No Longer Above All. Though I think that was due to Jim Starlin giving the Marvel Editors a big FU for the stuff they’d pulled on him behind the scenes.

- G) No respect for their top high tier characters.

In a bid to get their new characters (or new favoutires) over, the writers have made some big names either become jobbers or otherwise insignificant (re: not present for important events).

When I heard Bendis was going to DC, I knew part of it was because he wanted to write Superman. Still I was hoping that wouldn't be his first major project. Superman has just been retconned (Rebirth/Reborn Arc) and will probably have some extra retcon in Doomsday clock. Now they give him to Bendis who loves retconning and a #1 issue to play with and both regular Supes titles (so no checks and counters on what he does).

We'll see. I just want to know when New 52 Superman will be back, and the current one go back home.

Read Superman Rebirth / Reborn Arc (I think it was in Action comics).

As someone who reads both Marvel and DC, I'm so glad he's leaving Marvel. Bendis was good when writing for street level and new characters. However, Marvel then gave him access to titles such as X-Men and Avengers. His inability to understand the fact that legacy and relationships was important for these teams, saw him constantly re-imagining the teams by adding characters in a non-organic manner or simply putting the flavor of the week in. Then there was the continued push for nonsensical retcons (Sentry, Blue Marvel, Beyonder etc.). He also constantly turned characters into his personal monologue machines, often at the lost of their personality (or basic level of intelligence). Especially in the two Civil War runs, the second of which didn't even have a coherent tie-in structure.

Even worse were all the cross-overs. It was clear that Bendis' lacked knowledge on established characters outside the street levelers. Which meant that his big events either changed character's to fit or he simply made an alternate reality. Such as House of M, Age of Ultron etc. This all culminated in the Multiverse ending Battle World, which was simply Bendis engaging in his stock standard Hero vs Hero battles (seriously how many Avengers vs X-Men vs Inhumans vs Squirrel Girl do we need) and his trademark expositions + explosions formula while crafting inconsistent characters and inconsistent stories. Such as Doom defeating the Beyonders because they couldn't time travel. Even though these same Beyonders had defeated Eternity (the embodiment of time), plus no doubt countless other time travelers (multiple Time Gem wielders, multiple time-machine users, multiple temporal abstracts etc.).

Hopefully DC will give him access to Batman, which seems to account for the majority of their highest sales. Bendis' commercialism and street level writing cred could work there. Also DC seems more willing to retcon and simply re-boot than Marvel. Which could work well for Bendis who is better at creating and retconning characters than he is at expanding on their established narratives. I just hope they don't give him access to the cosmic stuff or we could well and truly see the return of Jobberseid and Justice League Detroit. Also I hope the other writers, editors and artists at DC don't succumb to his influence and start pumping out meaningless new uber-characters who were somehow intrinsically important to the DC timeline but were for some stupid reason, simply forgotten.
