Since the events of Grimm Beginnings, Laughlyn had escaped the city before law enforcement decided to finally roll into the city to clean up the mess they created. While none of her attacks went as planned during the chaos, it was still oh so much fun and still rather successful in her eyes. She still brought the fear. Laughlyns name was lingering through the atmosphere of the still building Valor City and had trickled over to Gothic. The battle for Grimm City Asylum, the battle for Grimm City High, the buildings she set aflame the citizens she killed it was all whispered among those who lived through the terrorist attack. But she needed to rest, and heal, so she retreated to Gothic City. Staying at one of the many rundown apartment complexes.
But one thing, that has been weighing on her mind since Grimm City, was the laughter of the man who was with her at Grimm City High. It was an... amazing twisted laugh that caused her spine to shiver with chills. She heard him, but she didn't see him. She wanted to meet him, to hear the laugh in person. And she swore... was she roamed throughout the city, that she could hear that laugh hanging in the darkness. Others could hear it to. Sometimes it was faint, like the wind, giving you chills, unsure where it came from. Other time it sounded as if he was standing just behind her chuckling in her ear. But she made it known in the streets, she was looking to find the Laughing Man.
