Rudd is like the worst comedian in the history of bad hollywood comedians... worst casting ever.... JGL is universally perfect for everything... fanboy talk aside... Rudd is a bad choice...

I think the "signature" humor was really forced...
The casting was on the level of "The Bold and the Beautiful"

The effects were quite nice and if not for the really bad dialogue, the really wooden characters, and the "signature" humor it might have been quite solid...

Even Coulson was not really likeable...

As it is now I think it was as silly as Spiderman 3...

I liked the inclusion of Extremis though... but it was not enough...

I am going to give this show 2 more episodes... but honestly... I believe that the only good thing Whedon ever did was The Avengers movie... the rest was just lame & overhyped sci-fi TV for a timeslot somewhere around 8 o'clock on a saturday morning!

(so the kids can watch something while the parents finallly get some sleep)

I love the comics... I like the TellTale game... I like the first two episodes of this... but after 3 seasons...

Judging this show as a Walking Dead product: Its a piece of sh...

Judging this show simply as a TV-Show: Its still a piece of sh...

Calling it the King of Cable TV is a bad joke...

Hallo all,

For ca. 2 years I am reading almost everything Batman/Batfamily from the modern age (almost 30 TPBs). I did branch out to Wonder Woman (read the first two Perez TPBs, ordered the last ones). Right now I am closing in on the Knightfall event. I have absolute no knowledge of The Lanterns (seen the movie), Aquaman, Hawkmen, Arrow (beside some of the TV Show) or Black Canary... I have the standard knowledge of Supes (didnt see the Snyder movie)

I started considering all those Crisis events...

Do I need to (Should I) read them all in order to understand them all up to Final Crisis?

Should I read Infinite Earths, if I only read modern material? Is it ground zero for modern continuity? Or is its place later in modern timeline?

Should I start with identity crisis?

What are your guys opinions? Sorry if topic is already on forums... I did make a search though...

I do not agree with the author... I hope the other DC universe movies, will be as gritty and as believable as can be, and that SOMEHOW they can all work together on the strong foundations created by Nolan. I also believe, that a serious journalist should not go on and write about what other artists shall or shall not do... he might give opinion, but not post definitive judgment...

If done right, everything will be explained in the movies to come, and you will see, that as the actors playing Bruce Wayne may change, as can change the people acting as Batman!

Right now Batman was in Nolans hands, Superman is kinda in his hands... and it looks terrific... if both would be united under one Nolan-verse... and if they would spawna true Nolan-verse Justice League... then boy... are we in for a ride!

And by the way... there was no statement that this WILL be a new franchise... they always had plans... those schemers... and schemers might change schemes... so remain open minded and hope for the best movie...

I believe, that the inevitable end to Bruce Wayne's Career as Batman, and the appearance of a new Batman is a great idea!

It opens tons of new possibilities.

  1. You could have JGL as Batman in the Justice League... he could realize there, that he is not Batman, but COULD be Nightwing
  2. Then You could go to a point were you recast Bruce Wayne for a Duo Movie ... and make him return (Batman & Nightwing) as a quasi follow up to the Nolan movies AND the JL movie... where JGL dons the Nightwing costume...
  3. Diffrent Batmans was for a long time essential in the comics world... I think it is time the movies would address it too.

This way they could maintain the existing "Nolanverse" and lead it into a different direction... while maintaining the continuity of the recent films (including Man of Steel). And swaping actors for Bruce Wayne this way would be very elegant...
