On a serious note, I've just never been engaged by the character. She seems like a C/D-list remix of Black Widow without the compelling character arc. She rarely does anything impactful and a lot of writers come off as "trying too hard" when they try making her relevant. But that's just my opinion, I'd like to know why you like/care about the character?
They might as well release superhero-themed adult diapers to compliment with the childishness of the current generation of comic fandom. I mean it's not like the industry isn't already pandering to all the whiners who get offended by attractive women and other stuff.
@kokemabb200: why do you think DC beats marvel in quality? DC has very few quality consistent titles going right now. The ones they do have aren't even tied to their main universe like Lois and Clark, titans hunt, and american alien. The only consistent main universe titles they have are bat family books ie Grayson and batman. Marvel has a ton of quality. If quality is what you want then the most consistent is still valiant because they have fewer titles
First off, I used to read far more Marvel books than DC and I always held unto the belief that Marvel was largely the better company, however over the last few years I've noticed a pretty sharp decline in quality. Marvel titles seem increasingly more vapid and dumbed down, the plots aren't engaging, many of the characters have lost their uniqueness and becomes interchangeable and (in general) it seems like they are pushing a blanket characterization unto many of their characters. That's why I moved over to the DC side of things.
It's funny you listed those titles, since those are all ones on my pull list :) I also follow Superman/Action Comics/Superman-Wonder Woman/Wonder Woman/Midnighter/JLA/Justice League/Justice League 3001/Doctor Fate/Cyborg and Green Lantern (probably a couple I've forgotten). I really enjoy the DC books, the writing and art seems notably better, and sometimes even leagues beyond what Marvel has out right now.
I'm not saying Marvel doesn't have any good books, they're just few and far between, and I'm not a Star Wars fan so I never pick up those titles (although I hear great things about them). I try to pick up at least the first three issues of a new title before deciding on whether I like it or not, and lately that's been a disappointing venture.
I've never read a Valiant title. I was born and raised on Marvel and DC with the occasional Image/IDW book here and there, but a lot of people seem to be praising it. I'll look around and see if I can find an accessible jumping on point and give them a try.
