No. If someone doesn't like you that way and they're your friend, it's not a lack of interest because you're friends, which is what the friendzone implies. It means there's something about your personality and/or appearance that doesn't appeal to them.

I'd prefer Wolverine to be short. But in every aspect other than his height, I think Hugh Jackman is perfect for the role, so I wouldn't want him to be recast.
