This is what sold me on Fraction's run on Invincible Iron Man.

This is probably the best Legion of Super-Heroes story arc ever. It features an uber-badass Darkseid instead of the Post-Crisis Jobberseid; the whole story is suspense filled and well executed. Proof that godlike Silver Age superheroes aren't just for camp stories.

Jim Starlin shows that his version of Darkseid has more chops than his DC counterpart. A brilliantly executed story that has made Thanos of Titan one of my favorite characters in comics.

The story following Thanos Quest it features some of the greatest moments in Marveldom. A true epic quest with a clear cosmology that trumps every subsequent OMG THEY'RE DESTROYZIN THE UNIVERZ bi-monthly Apocalypse.

A 'return' of Captain Marvel that isn't yet-another resurrection! I absolutely loved Silver Surfer and Thanos both in these storylines.

Purple puss puts the smack-down on the Cancerverse. Also, blows Drax away like a bitch!

Though I was of mixed opinions on the immediate post-Crisis era I thought this was a wonderful example of what a Universe-spanning/Reboot event can be; not until Flashpoint have the Big Two had a 'Crisis' that really stuck.

Just plain awesome. I don't know how JMS could get this so right and 'Grounded' so wrong.
