It's a bummer a lot of comic vine community members dismiss new comics because there is a new character taking the lead. Like gender change, race change, its always dismissed immediately. These are the same people who saw Doctor Strange with an axe and threw a hissy fit, "NOT MY DOCTOR STRANGE" they said. Come on. If I like the writer and the book is good, I really don't give 2 f's about the "stunt" marvel is pulling.
Rebirth is doing nothing for me. Every book I've read feels like some some writer was placed on a book last minute to fill in a story gap between issues 35-40 on a series before they find a real long term writer.......but these are the opening arcs of main books and everything feels super flat and uninspired.
Marvel presents...The All-New, All-Different Jessica Jones! In the earth-shattering conclusion to Civil War II, the all-new, totally cool Inhuman Ulysses whispered something that you'll never know into Jessica Jones' ear, leaving her unworthy and drained of the super-soldier serum that kept her youthful, now a 90 year old woman going only by "Jones," she has passed the mantle of Jessica on to the next generation's greatest and most worthy hero, a random 8 year old Malaysian boy that we just introduced last week!
I'm really enjoying this series as well as the old logan character. He has only known survival for so long and is now thrown into a world where he can sort of relax. There is some really interesting PTSD stuff they could play with, where he is still on edge from where he's been and what could happen and how he could prevent it, and the world around him says "hey, it's ok". A grizzled Wolverine is very cool to me.
