1- i think goku mentioned that ss1 gotenks should be enough to beat the original fat magin buu. the same buu who defeated ss2 vegeta, who was mentioned to be more power than ss2 teen gohan. so gotenks wins easily

2- ultimate gohan>>>>buucolo>base superbuu=ss3 gotenks

3- i think gohan's ultimate mode has already wore off before the BOG saga. thats why he was able to once again transform to his ss1 form
