In the case of the classic Superman I always felt that a combo of Dr Strange, the female Captain Marvel and the Hulk should be able to bring down Superman.
 
Strange is there to take advantage of his vulnerability to magic.  Captain Marvel could change to Kryptonite radiation while the Hulk is there to stomp him into the nearest curb.
 
These days I would replace Hulk with the Sentinel (on one of his good days)
 

I've always read both, but for a while in the 80's I preferred Marvel to DC because of the emergence of the new X-Men and more gripping stories, vs older Silver Age Superman stories.
 
It's only recently that I picked up on comics again and I've been quite interested in DC.  I still read Marvel though.
 
So I like both of them.

I love that fake Highlander II poster.  Imagine if somebody had made a really, really bad sequel to Highlander, the type where the immortals are aliens with silly names and all that.
 
Highlander hasn't aged very gracefully, but it remains an 80's monument (for better or worse)

I wonder what the animators in Korea thought of that one ...

I can almost eat a hotdog without spilling ketchup all over myself.
