*This is a California State News emergency alert. Another wildfire has sprouted up, this time in the San Jose area. It has been maintained to a one mile radius but news has come in that witnesses at the scene are reporting a man starting the fires with a make shift flame thrower, authorities are investigating. That's all for now, more at 9.*
At the Rock of Eternity
"Now Adam, I can feel your anger. It boils inside of you, it almost fuels you, and yet you still brood over it. You wonder if you can ever make it go away, if you can ever become the hero you once were all those years ago. Well the answer is no, you cannot. You're anger is a weakness, and you will never be as great as you were in Egypt, you will never be *Khem-Adam again." The old withering wizard's words boomed through the hall with a voice that would shock any unsuspecting being.
Adam stared at the man aged man in disgust and hatred. These feelings were only amplified when he gazed down and saw that the young boy had awoken and was lifting himself to his feet. Though Adam burned with rage and fury his curiosity got the best of him.
"If I am as weak as you say...why not strip me of my powers and leave me to a mortal's death?"
Billy Batson turned his body and faced the wizard that towered over him in his throne. He obviously had the same question in his mind but dared not ask in fear of his powers being taken.
"Don't think I haven't tried Adam, but the gods who give you my power every time you utter my name have bigger plans for you...and even I have no power of them." Suddenly a dark smoke began to form within the air in the chamber. "Speaking of, it is time for you to answer to them Adam. " Most of the chamber could not be seen anymore, Billy Batson was completely out of Adam's sight, and only the wizards glowing eyes could be seen. "But be warned Adam, if you interfere with my champion's affairs...He will kill you."
As the final word left the wizards mouth the room was completely covered in the dark smoke and all at once Adam was standing in complete Darkness. After standing in the darkness for a moment, a sudden loud, booming and overwhelming voice snapped into existence.
"Great powers threaten Earth Adam. You are no longer a champion of the Wizard's will, you are the champion of Earth's people. The demonic powers of lady Blaze are at work, now more than ever. You must stop her at all costs, only then can you be forgiven of your past." For once Adam was not speechless on purpose, but out of sheer awe. "You are no longer Khem-Adam, you are *Teth-Adam."
California, A motel 6 south of San Jose
George Tweedle slumped on the used brown couch of room 206 snickering at the news broadcast. He loved to watch the news after starting a new fire. Though he was slightly annoyed that the police now knew the fires were not natural, the man almost got off on the fact that he could now burn whatever he wanted in the next city.
"Maybe I should burn something in Cosmos, Colorado" The idea entered the mans head but quickly fleeted when he realized he's never heard of that place.
While the dark haired middle aged arsonist scratched his privates freely he heard an alarming knock on the door of his motel room. He zipped up his pants and grabbed his hand held flamethrower to hold behind his back. As he walked up to the door he spoke as threateningly as possible.
"Wh.....who is it?" A moment of silence went by and suddenly the door burst open with a gust of wind. George covered his eyes from the dust.
George uncovered his eyes and gazed at a Demonic feminine warrior with large horns. The outside world behind her was dark and void.
"I am Blaze, George Teedle, and I am here to offer you a true outlet for your burning passion."

Geez, I read what the footage was, I've heard what the footage was, and I've even seen one of the many bootleg phone camera videos of the footage - why in this day and age are they're trying to keep the cat in the bag - the bag is goddamn transparent at this point.
I feel that they will soon realize that the people they are trying to gift with exclusive content do not care about being the only one's to see it for a few months, they care about being the first ones to see it. So hopefully soon enough they will catch on and just release all exclusives right after the convention.
"None of this adds up Adrian. If the riots were being used as a distraction from the plan to blow up the Arc de Triumph then they would have done it by now, it's been a month and a half."
Bilal was lightly pacing in his kitchen as he spoke on the phone with Adrian. "Look can you just come up here for a minute? I have somethings to give you." Bilal walked into his living room to the cluttered wooden coffee table in it's center and picked up a list he wrote of the most violent riot locations.
"No, No Bilal. You have a date, remember? You've got to go pick up Zuri soon and I'm not going to be the one she gets mad at if you're late." Adrian chuckled as he said.
Bilal had almost forgotten that he was in a full suit. His black overlay along with the navy blue tie was complemented by a slight flowery cologne that tried it's best to advertise that it was "manly".
"This isn't the time for a laugh Adrian, the riots are getting worse and I got attacked. Those goons knew that I was Nightrunner and we have to find out how." Bilal paused from the pacing that he unconsciously restarted and took a deep breath. "Maybe I'm not cut out to figure this out, I should just call Batman."
"Look Bilal, Batman and Nightwing saw something in you. People are talking about you all around France, and even when the riots get worse they still believe in you, Nightrunner, to keep them safe. We will figure this out okay? "
Bilal smiled and responded calmly. "Okay. Yea you're right."
"Plus you sorta killed that guy in the subway and I think batman would lecture you like a six year old if he found out." Adrian laughed at his joke which caused Bilal to let out a small chuckle too. "Alright, now you go have fun on your date and remember that you have a life outside of Nightrunner. And use protection."
Bilal rolled his eyes and gave another short laugh before ending the call and pocketing his phone. He grabbed his keys off of the cluttered coffee table, turned the lights off, and exited his apartment.
Le Chardenoux~ Restaurant in Paris
An hour into the date was all the time Bilal needed to forget about his problems. He and Zuri talked extensively about her trip to London for her modeling agency. Adrian often teased Bilal on the odds of him landing a model.
"Oh I feel like we've been talking about me the whole time. How's work going?" Bilal loved that Zuri was so caring, which made it much harder for him to lie to her. He wasn't going to tell her that he was using all of his sick days to stop the Arc de Triumph from being destroyed of course, so he had to improvise his answer.
"Uhh, It's going well. Ya know, nothing out of the ordinary, business as usual." Bilal did not lie very well Zuri could tell something was strange An awkward silence hovered over their table as they ate their meals. Before either one could say anything else, Bilal felt his phone vibrate in his shirt pocket.
"Oh, it's Adrian. I'm gunna step out and take this." He stood up from the table and walked to the entrance of the restaurant. Before he left he mentioned that he was stepping out to the hostess and she nodded politely. "Hey, did something come up?" Bilal said this as he stepped out into the chilled city street.
"Hello Nightrunner, I have your friend here with me." Frantic breathing and grunting could be heard in the background as a mysterious smooth voice spoke through Bilal's phone. "Come to warehouse 9-D in Clichy-sous-Bois' south side to pick him up, and don't keep me waiting, or you could have another dead best friend on your conscious."
The call was dropped and Bilal clinched the phone in his hand with nothing but rage coursing through his body. In a hurry, Bilal ran down the street to his car, grabbed the bag with his spare costume in it, and ran into a nearby alley.
Bilal traveled through the cold night across the rooftops until he arrived at a housing complex that over looked the warehouse. As he overlooked the dark, windowless building Bilal pulled up his mask and put in an earpiece that enhanced his hearing. There were two guards standing at the front entrance of the building.
"How much longer do we have to wait man?" The burly guard on the left of the door was holding a hand gun and smoking a cigarette.
"The boss man said an hour, any minute now they're gunna call us inside to smoke that doorman." The lean pale guard on the right spoke with a nasally voice.
"Like hell you will." Bilal pulled his mask back over his face and jumped down from the top of housing complex to land on the cement roof of the warehouse. He pulled off the main vent covering and slipped into the shaft.
Bilal dropped down onto scaffolding inside the building only to find that it was completely dark. Bilal surveyed the area for any immediate danger. Just as he was about to turn his night vision on, the bright florescent lights of the building buzzed on. Below, Bilal gazed upon a warehouse full of thugs, some even still in their prison uniforms, with various melee weapons. In the middle of the large crowd, was Adrian tied to a chair, bloody and bruised.

A bus stop in northern NY- 10:00pm
Adam hovered in silence with his arms crossed, most would believe that that is their natural position due to how often the godly man kept them there. Besides the one street light that frequently flickered next to the damp bench of the bus stop, the only light to be seen was the dim glow of lightning that surged from Adam's suit occasionally. In the distance, at the end of the one way street leading up to the lonely stop, the headlights of a white bus came into view.
As the bus began to pull up, the low roar of thunder could be heard nearby. Adam could feel the presence of godly energy nearby and it infuriated him to no end. The bus came to a stop and it's door opened slowly. Adam's target hopped off of the bus and stood just as still as Adam hovered in the air. The rumbling of thunder was now more aggressive, and drops of rain began to fall at a steady pace.
The door of the bus closed, and the vehicle disappeared into the darkness. Still facing the bench, his back to Adam, the target spoke.
"So the devil lady was right? The Mighty Adam has come out of hiding to arrest me?" His frail voice carried well up to Adam's ears.
"How dare he mock me." The voice in Adam's head spat with anger.
"You are coming with me, attempt to resist and you will be punished." As he said this, Adam was lowering himself to the ground. When his feet reached the pavement he was about fifteen feet from his target, Adam's scarred angry face illuminated slightly under the flickering light.
The silhouette of Adam's target turned toward him to reveal the face of a youth. "I'm not going anywhere with you. Ya know, Blaze told me about what happened to your family all those years ago in...Egypt right? I'm only sorry I couldn't have been the one to add them to my body count." After he said the boy shined and smile, and began to laugh.
The rain had now began to pour and large clouds began to form in the sky. The roar of thunder was so close that the ground shook with every rumble. The boy's laughter stopped when he noticed the change of scenery and the boiling rage within Adam.
"Well then, I guess we can get started...SHAZ-"
Adam's rage overcame him and he erupted from his position in a bolt, before the boy could utter the word Adam drew close and thrust his elbow into the boys face. The boy's body collapsed to the moist pavement and Adam stood over it with clenched fists, breathing heavily.
As he calmed himself, the rain gradually faded, the clouds parted and with a final rumble of thunder, the flickering street light blew out.
Somewhere in the world, Sometime later
Adam walked through the dusty still air of the sacred Shazam tomb with the young boy's unconscious body resting on his left shoulder. The memories flooded over him as his senses were attacked with smells and sights that he'd thought were long forgotten.
"It seems only just yesterday that you were "Teth-Adam, champion of the Pharaoh "" The words echoed down the hall from the throne of the all powerful Shazam.
Adam looked to the man's throne to see an old worn body with pulsing light blue eyes, surging with the energy of the gods.
"Now the people need a champion, and when I decide it is time to return, this is how I am greeted." Adam arrived only feet from the throne and dropped the boy's body in front of him.
"With news that the great Shazam has chosen a new champion." Adam scoffed and turned away from the old man, much like a child who has spoken out against their parent for the first time.
"The death of your family has changed you Adam. I can feel the rage that boils inside of you, but instead of honing that rage you try to suppress it, and I feel that that will be your downfall." The man's words bounced around the hall and repeated in Adam's mind.
"You replaced me...because I will no longer take a life?" The realization spat out of Adam's mouth in disgust.
"I need a killer to carry out my duties here on Earth, Adam" As the old man said this he pointed a finger at the young boy on the ground who was now regaining consciousness.
