The history of Dc's cosmology goes back to way at the beginning of dc's start when it had a universe filled with characters such as the golden age Superman and Jay garrick flash.The dc universe had one universe until the issue #123 of flash sept 1961 called "the flash of two worlds",where barry allen vibrates to another world confirming the existence of a multiverse.

Dc then explained the origin of the concept of the multiverse in further comics,it went something like this.A scientist peered back to the beginning of the of the universe and the act of peering back to the beginning caused a the universe to separate into an infinite multiverse.

This act created a being that would then destroy the multiverse.

At the end of this event the multiverse was gone and only a universe was left one main universe.

This would last for another few years in the meantime dc had introduced a concept called hypertime .This was in the 90's.It was an attempt to bring back the multiverse.But since the multiverse was destroyed by the crisis event dc had to find a way to make the crisis on infinite earths have meaning without just bringing back something called the multiverse.So they decided why not we have alternate timelines from the main all equally real.What dc didn't realise is that this is a multiverse in essence.But the y didn't call it that it was called hypertime.Because they went on the premise that these are infinite different parallel timelines branching from the main timeline .While not really the same thing as the multiverse theory it still kinda is a multiverse theory with a different name.Because not only could you travel but it operate as a multiverse.The only distinction that could be made different from the multiverse theory is that hypertime some timelines could merge into the main continuity if they fit.Hypertime was a tool to explain different books that were not canon but readers wanted to be canon in a sense.So books like kingdom were canon via the use of hypertime.Because of the concept of infinite parallel timelines.

The concept of hypertime was eventually abandoned in 2005 and they went back to one universe,when Dc decided to celebrate crisis on infinite earths with there title "Infinite Crisis" which was a continuation of the crisis on infinite earths where the remaining survivors of the crisis went to a paradise dimension to live out there lives.Eventually the story was told in infinite crisis that they were watching the main universe from their dimension they didn't like how the heroes were going about problems so they left their dimension to "fix" and bring about a perfect universe.Long story short superboy punch reality and changed it.

Hypertime was then used again to explain the arrival of a multiverse,and dc changed again from a universe to 52 universes and to this day it has been still 52 universes.

What has changed though is an existence of a second multiverse called the dark multiverse which has been something that is being told in dc stories as of the date of this article.

Hypertime has made a recent comeback.And with it an explanation.With the fact that dc is sticking to its 52 universes as the main multiverse then how does hypertime fit in.Well remember that hypertime is the existence of an infinite branch of parallel timelines branching from the main timeline.So the 52 universes have branches of infinite different timelines.Take the 52 universes as a multiverse and then imagine that as the main timeline and then everything is explained and fits together well.Dc seems to be making a distinction between the mutliverse,i.e the 52 universes and hypertime which in principle they are very similar the only distinction is that hypertime some timelines can merge with the main timeline so in essence every story that has been told is canon.That is what dc is trying to get at with the start.Not that they are infinite earths in the multiverse but infinite different ways of reality in hypertime.

But in conclusion infinite universes.

In essence Dc has infinite universes.

Ok, let me lay out why this is what it is.

First of all, this is a response to someone.

The Dc multiverse consists of 52 matter and antimatter universes.Called the Orrery of worlds.

The way you should imagine the dc multiverse is as a capsule(like a tablet).Containing the bleed.Although they occupy the same space.Now what a lot of person's don't know is that.The multiverse is made up of antimatter and matter.And that the capsule is split in two.So in a sense, you can take the entire thing as one multiverse.

Now, this is the entire multiverse floating in the void.Just as it suppose to.The void is non-existence.So in a way, it represents nothing.Absolutely nothing.Grant Morrison has stated that the multiverse floats in the source/Overvoid which is the same thing, you see what people don't understand is that the white page represents nothing so every fictional universe exists in nothing.

Also, dc multiverse structure involves brane(membrane universes) What is not understood is that since it is string theory that the dc multiverse uses this means all universes are branes.And as stated the capsule is split in half to represent antimatter and matter multiverses.Also, you need just two or more things to put plural on something.Say for e.g You have 2 Universes.Or two bags.The point is two alone is needed there is no evidence to suggest there is any more than the matter and antimatter multiverse, and as stated the imagine it as one multiverse that is the capsule.Because there aren't to show this.Here are the Monitors who are very powerful beings, in fact, think of them as gods of gods in the dc multiverse they are above the god sphere they are omnipotent beings that watch over it. Also, there is clearly not infinite universes in the capsule to say that is to deny what is stated.

Some people have tried to conflate what marvel structure is with dc's like for e.g Saying it has infinite universes which is not true because it is shown that the Dc Multiverse has been given an origin.Now let's show that origin.

If you didn't read the scans let me summarise.First, there was a Universe, then an Infinite Multiverse emerged, Then it collapsed to a Universe once more, And then it what now it fragmented into a Multiverse again, Of 52 universes. This is the established thing.Persons have said that other writers have said something else that there are infinite universes(What people fail to understand is the writer can basically write anything). but here is the thing you either say there are infinite universes in the dc multiverse and reject the Dc multiverse Map which the 52 universes are established or you say there are infinite universes but outside of the Dc multiverse the establish dc multiverse which was confirmed by Grant Morrison, he said there are infinite Multiverses, Meaning infinite collections of universes.So the dc 52 is a collection of universes which make up the Dc multiverse.It's not that the dc multiverse is infinite, its that there are infinite multiverses.This is different from say the dc multiverse is infinite. That's the thing people don't understand it is clearly stated that Grant Morrison says that they are Multiple multiverses that is to say different collection of universes, an infinite amount of different collections.The dc Multiverse contains 52 brane universes.That is different from saying the dc multiverse is infinite.It was never stated by Grant Morrison to be infinite.

To say that it only contains brane universes would be right because the dc multiverse structure is of string theory.String theory involves branes so only branes can be universes in a string theory multiverse.

Again you can take what other writers have said like the dc multiverse is infinite however that means you would have to reject the map of the multiverse.

Also one our fellow sonic fans went and did the research on how fast sonic is. He used the base line calculation for sonic in unleashed which if you dont know is light speed as confirmed by the manual and for those who dont know this is the manual saying it not some game mechanic thing.The light speed dash was a way for players to access light speed for the game.For crying out loud sonic is a game character so if they are going to make him faster as light they will implement a feature to allow you to do that because its ultimately a game however in story format sonic is faster than as confirmed above anyways back on track well in the sonic unleashed game sonic The SPD meter in sonic unleashed shows that Sonic's light-speed dash clocks in at 396 SPD. The fastest you can clock in at in this game is when Sonic is boosting and he clocks in at 2,800 SPD. 2,800/396=7.07 This shows that Base Sonic can run up to Seven times faster than light, Sonic in normal form is 7.07 times faster than light and that may not even be his limit.
