Deadpan Snarker - Holds the middle-ground of snarkiness between Ayaaru and Day.
First Person Smartass - When he's narrating.
Genius Bruiser - A mild example.
He Knows Too Much – Anix. Solo field research led to him recreating a Vendroll artifact – he was immediately arrested for premeditated terrorism and has being blackmailed by the Aneriel ever since.
The Hero - When he's narrating.
Jack of all Stats - Strong, smart, can shoot, can fight, even knows a little magic... but doesn't really excel in any specific area.
The Leader - The most qualified for the position, despite being blackmailed into it.
Long-Range Fighter – While he can hold his own in a fight, his only really useful at long range.
Occult Detective – Anix isn't exactly one of these, but he plays parallel to it – trenchcoat and all. More of an Occult Archaeologist, anyway.
Photographic Memory – Has an eidetic memory, and is quite proud of it.
The Professor – Subverted. Anix is an actual professor, and while he's smart he's not inventing time-travel any time soon.
Smarter Than You Look – Anix, according to Day and pretty much everyone else.
True Neutral - He means well, but is mostly just doing his own thing and trying to get along in the world.

Badass Abnormal - Full stop.
The Big Guy - Plays this role.
Blindfolded Vision – Ayaaru removed her own eyes as part of her Silent training. She gets around juuust fine.
Dark Action Girl
Deadpan Snarker - The absolute worst. Part of her training dictates that she cannot cause harm with words. Rather than following the spirit of this rule, she relies instead on sarcasm.
Disability Superpower
Hyper Awareness - Her magical mapping lets her see everything, including through and around solid objects.
Lady of War - Ayaaru, by far the most physically deadly character.
The Lancer - to Anix
Lawful Neutral - Behaves axiomatically according to her discipline.
Lightning Bruiser
Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training – Ayaaru's been trained by the Silent from a very young age. She lacks the vast majority of basic day-to-day life skills, but she can punch tanks in half.
Shockwave Clap - Can do these when she's in a non-lethal mood.

Bishonen - Cannot be told apart from a girl, at a glance. Not his fault -- it's racial
Bunny Ears Lawyer - Is amazing at what he does. Also sometimes forgets what it is he's supposed to be doing.
Cloudcuckoolander - A mild example.
The Chick - The gentlest and sweetest of the main characters.
Electronic Eyes - Day, allowing him to jack directly into online information sources.
Genius Ditz
Hot Librarian - Sort of.
Hyper Awareness - The reason he was hired by the Aneriel is because he is because he can get the most information in the shortest amount of time, making him perfect for ground control on highly-dangerous field missions.
The Lab Rat - Day, who never leaves the comfort of the Embassy if he doesn't have to.
Lawful Good
Mission Control
Mr. Exposition – Averted. While his general position would suggest that he play this role, he doesn't actually know any more about what's going on than the away team – he's there to research new information at a moment's notice, not explain the plot from the get-go.
Playful Hacker – While he doesn't play to this 100%, Day is fairly light-hearted and level-headed. He takes his job seriously, but that doesn't mean he can't crack a joke now and then.
Sherlock Scan – Day can do mild versions of these, which makes sense because that's his job. He was able to tell right away that Anix was not human by very subtle physical indicators, such as the width of his shoulders and slope of his jaw.
The Smart Guy
Some Call Me Tim – A mild version with Day, whose real name is Daelorexi.
Voice with an Internet Connection

Non-Human Sidekick
Robot Buddy – Subverted with Helis-9, who is far more annoying than he is useful. His only real functions are nagging Anix and pushing Aneriel ultimatums on him.
Small Annoying Creature - Played with, since he isn't supposed to be cute or funny and is, in fact, supposed to be annoying, in-universe as well as out.
