Boring and woke from what I’ve heard. Not sure when I’ll watch it though, or if I even will

What does woke even mean now days? I keep seeing it. For example back in the day someone would be called woke if they claimed the US was only in Iraq for oil but now days it gets thrown around randomly. I read comments under a movie trailer which happens to have an interracial couple "woke garbage". A diverse cast "woke garbage". A gay character "woke garbage". People like TheQuartering, Ben Shapiro and etc have done a good job of dividing so many. Remember that's how they make money. They have to keep finding shit and exaggerate how bad it is to constantly post content and feed the itch of those who are looking to be angry at something.

Its crazy to think that woke used to be seen as good thing but now days its like its been hijacked by bigoted incels who hate anything thats not "white straight males". People who want every MCU movie to be like the first Avengers with 5 white males and 1 eye candy and now they're upset that the MCU are trying to be more inclusive.

And yes I am aware that there are people who are annoying and try to force wokeness down our throats. You'll find extremism everywhere. Just like the anti woke crowd who are the opposite side of the same coin. Just as whiny as those who try to force inclusiveness. At least some on the forced inclusiveness side have their hearts in the right place whereas many on the anti woke side just boils down to altright incel scum who'd probably support Nazi Germany if they were still around today.

I am very disappointed that James Spader did not come back to voice him. Also, Thanos would not be cut in half by vision. Corvus Glave's spear was able to no sell it after all.

Different circumstances make much more difference than most think. Vision got caught off guard against Corus spear and was hurt during the rest of the movie. We didn't see visions full potential. Corus spear was probably more durable than Thanos. Ultron is a quick thinking artificial super intelligence. He also doesn't have a soul so Thanos probably couldn't sense him and was caught off guard like when he got hit by Thor's stormbreaker.

It makes enough sense although like I've said on here before MCU has a history of inconsistencies.

Not sure if anyones already mentioned this but what if Ultron with the infinity stones is the MCU's Galactus?

@joshua1990: Tony is a genius but he looked stupid in this episode

The MCU has a lot of inconsistencies when it comes to power and intelligence.

Most people like Stark who are born with money and have a lot of yes men around them can be fooled whether they're geniuses or not. Tony has a history of trying to create powerful things like Ultron. Sometimes you can use someones ego and hunger for power against them. In Starks mind he probably liked Killmongers drone idea and wanted to seem like he was just doing it for Killmonger whilst he'd have all the power over the drones but underestimated Killmongers true agenda.

I'm genuinely confused by some of the comments on here. I thought this episode was really good and Killmonger was ruthless but very strategic.

I admit Killmonger double agency was perfect. Reminds me Severus Snape loyality to Dumbledore while pretending/tricking Voldy to be "truly" loyal to him ( but Snape never did that for his ego purposes )

Killmonger wasn't just doing it for ego. He was a villain who wanted the right resources so could liberate black people who he felt were oppressed or at least have a history of oppression. Hence why he named the drones liberators.

To me that's an idea filmmakers rarely touch on because it triggers so many but that's why he's the villain. He's supposed to be wrong.

Yeah, Peggy was kind of a Mary Sue in this one to be honest.

And the political commentary was as subtle as falcon and winter soldier. So pretty hamfisted and cringe. Makes sense for the time period but could have been handled better than "generic sexist white man bad"

Action was nice though. But the episode doesn't really make interested in the series in general.

It's too weak of beginning to effectively hook me. They should have released like the first three episodes. Cause all the reviewers praised it because they saw the first 3

Annoys me how people get defensive about stuff like this and tend to cherry pick:

Hey I'm upset that there's an old white guy behaving the way many old white guys would of behaved during that time and so when its highlighted in movies or tv shows ill play the "generic sexist white man" victim card whilst simultaneously ignore the fact that the other 3 white men Rogers, Bucky and Stark were the opposite.

Great episode. Watching the trailer and seeing the animation made me worried but after watching the episode it works pretty well.

I know the MCU are inconsistent when it comes to powers but Captain Carter seemed a lot more powerful than Rogers. It makes sense because before Rogers got enhanced he was scrawny and probably a lot weaker than Carter.

So maybe its just them trying to promote Carter or they deliberately made her more powerful due to her being stronger before the enhancement and if so I wonder what would happen if you put Peter Parker in there.

See, this is why we should take the fights on this show with a grain of salt, otherwise Karli Morgenthau is the most skilled character in the MCU. Karli couldnt beat Bucky with the help of other Flag Smashers, yet she beat Walker by herself. The inconsistency is baffling and the showrunners clearly dont care about power levels or skill hierarchy, they just go for the cool factor and whatever helps them get to the next point in their story, which is fine I guess, but the inconsistencies were impossible to ignore.

This show completely screwed the skill hierarchy because it clearly simply did not care one bit about it, honestly I would take the showings here with a grain of salt, like, ANY showing.

As someone who's been in the MMA world for a long time there is a saying that goes "styles make fights". Its not always as simple as saying "fighter A beats fighter B and fighter B beats fighter C so therefore fighter A should beat fighter C". Its way more complicated than that (Even thou I am comparing this to a fantasy show)

When it comes to real life street fight situation the outcome comes down to an accumulation of things. Maybe she was more prepared against Walker? Maybe Walker having little experience as a supersoldier played a part? Maybe she was taking it less serious against Bucky? Maybe the setting they were in played a part? Maybe Karli at the moment she was losing to Bucky had a stomach ache or a hair in here eye? Maybe this is just fiction? You get my point here. The Karli, Bucky and walker trio are not far apart in powers. Now if it was a Karli, Bucky and Thor trio than maybe you could have an argument here. The hierarchy you mentioned is insignificant when they're basically all on the same supersoldier serum. Everyone can beat everyone if its their day.
