I don't remember all the Jan' Jones hate when the movie came out. I didn't think she did poorly to represent Emma. I honestly have more of a problem with Nicholas Hoult as McCoy.

This reminds me of when Ryan Reynolds played two super heroes, one Marvel, one DC. That worked out well if I remember correctly.

I think she doesn't know about the cure.

Plus i think she is so consumed feeling like a monster that she wouldn't think the cure would "save" her.
