@jashro44: So then every Olympian weightlifter has superpowers?
How can you "not give him the opportunity to fight back"? Thanos is much much stronger than Thor (never mind Cap) based on feats so that's definitely not true. The only way an opponent would be unable to fight back would be if he was completely overpowered. Thanos obviously wouldn't be overpowered by any Avenger (by feats and Russo statement). Thus, him just standing there is obvious PIS/Russo Force.
"This just sounds like your opinion. Cap did what he did with mjonlir. If he performed better than Thor he performed better than Thor."
You can't be serious. Thor's been Thor for 1500+ years. I guess if I picked up Mjolnir, I'd do more damage than Thor against Thanos too.
"The drop of blood was the collective effort of everyone per the Russo's statement in the directors commentary"
LOLOLOL yeah where were they when Iron Man made Thanos bleed? "Collective effort". That's a good one.
"He would have ended up in the water regardless. The outcome would have been the same."
LOL he could've swam to shore. No offense, but I find a lot of your comments to be ridiculous to the point of extremity.
"Its not a stupid tactical decision if it works....Its stupid that it actually worked."
So if he makes a stupid tactical decision and gets lucky, he's not stupid? That's just reinforcing his stupidity.
I didn't say Proxima was on Thor's level, I said she can fight Thor and survive. She was also stated by the Russos to be > Gamora and her and Corvus were defeating Vision and Wanda so her poor showings in fights in Scotland and Wakanda are still PIS.
"Cap will have the powers of Thor so no. Cap doesn't need to use lightning. Swinging his hammer in thanos face sent him reeling. And as I said while holding the hammer he hurt thanos with physical attacks like a knee to the chest and shield bash to the face."
Again you are giving zero proof that does did anymore than tickle Thanos considering what he did after. You're just stating that Thanos is hurt with zero evidence.
"I've already established it gives the user the powers of Thor. Considering you chose to ignore most of the points I made on the matter I assumed you agreed."
No I've already refuted your points conclusively (and so has Odin).
"Except for the fact that he does. His fight with Thanos is self-evident. By any standard of logic there is no reason Cap shouldn't have the powers of Thor." Again, just because you think he has the powers of Thor (your opinion), that doesn't mean Steve = Thor.
If I had the powers of Thor, could I beat Iron Man? Obviously not. You can't just say someone has the powers of Thor (and that's just your opinion by the way) and say he's equal to Thor. That's the complete opposite of "logic".
Anyways, I feel like we're both wasting each other's time here (some of your points above are completely insane) so let's just agree to disagree and let other readers decide whose arguments have more merit.
