Hulk/Bruce had been shown to be able to affect the real life bodies of participants in dream-like realities as he did with Dr Strange during World War Hulk. Not to mention, Hulk and Bruce occasionally work together and can be cunning and Machiavellian when they want to be. So I think Hulk/Bruce wins Freddy.

Bruce Banner's story was very good in the 2000-2005 era (when Bruce Jones and Paul Jenkins did it). It got to the point that i wanted to see more Bruce Banner than i did hulk. Bruce Banner's parts created massive suspense, and you can literally feel the emotions seep in right before he turned into the hulk.

In short, Bruce Banner was like the foreplay, hulk was the climax. :D

I'll start off by saying i'm a fan of the hulk series (mostly because of his mental battle with Bruce) and do acknowledge he'll probably lose in a fight against some of the more powerful heroes in Marvel (Silversurfer).

With that said, this thread is about possibilities. Before we continue, this is World Breaker Hulk.. people keep thinking that title is the same as the hulk in WWH, but he's actually a herald of Galactus imbued with the power cosmic in "What If? World War Hulk Vol 1 1".

I've seen many threads asking about a battle between Worldbreaker Hulk (WBH) and -insert superhero name- (eg. thor, superman), and it always ends up with people mistaking him for the hulk in WWH.

Anyway, I've always wondered about some possible 'what if's' involving the Hulk. Some arent even storylines, and just possibilities. Feel free to comment/correct them.

1. What if Bruce Banner finally decides to fully "give in" and the devil hulk emerges? Would he be stronger than any known version of the hulk (except WBH)?

2. What if Bruce Banner decided to cooperate with the hulk, using his intelligence to create weapons and armor to aid the hulk. Things like vibranium-kryptonite gloves or whatever. Maybe even alter hulk's DNA to make him even more formidable.

3. Could Hulk's seemingly limitless power/energy come from the ability to digest matter and yielding nuclear energy from the atoms?

#Hulk: The End
#Hulk: The End

Those who read about quantum theory would know that a large amount of energy exist in matter. So just by ingesting a piece of rock, would allow him to sustain himself and all his activities.

That's all for now, these thoughts have been in my head for a while now. Let me know what you guys think.!

I'll try to add in more if I can remember.

The thing with these "vs hulk" threads is they always give some time period for both superheroes to 'prepare'. So you usually get batman having a month's preparation and hulk getting none. I'm sure if Banner REALLY hated someone and worked with hulk, creating armor and weapon and other boosts, the hulk would really be a scary opponent. Not to mention if Banner 'gives in' to the "devil hulk" in his mind (which he has been holding back all this while).

With the right resources, who's to say Banner isn't able incorporate kryptonite into adamantium gloves. He is a genius after all. The only reason hulk isn't causing more havoc than he already has is because Banner's trying his hardest to not let that happen. If Banner finaly agrees with hulk, it'll be hell.

With that said, i think hulk would have trouble against those with power cosmic.

Hulk's thunderclap has a pretty wide range.

And hulk isn't a one dimensional character. My favourite run of hulk had always been the Bruce Jones and Paul Jenkins era. Really really deep storyline. Non-hulk fans should check them out. They go deep into Banner's psyche and we learn that the problem with Banner is that his personalities take a physical manifestation.

Isn't Worldbreaker Hulk different from World War Hulk? If i remember correctly, World breaker hulk was the hulk in the "what if" issue right after the events of WWH. Its where Hulk is the sole survivor on Earth and pleads Silver Surfer to bring Galactus to him... long story short, grants him his wish of being able to "forget" but at the expense of being Galactus' herald with celestial armor and all.

In that case, Worldbreaker would be the best hulk.

Mark did great animating as hulk and even better Bruce Banner. He was able to portray that humble, nerdy, non-confrontational Banner. In the two previous films, the previous actors behaved like they were 'cool' and powerful. Banner never felt that way about being the second half of hulk. He had that general sense caution and fear. Ruffalo was able to capture that to a small extent considering the liimited dialogue they gave him. I say he did a pretty good job.

I always felt Hemsworth was a little too small for Thor. I think Arnie in Conan the Barbarian was a right size for the Asgardian.
