That's why I've mentioned Brad Bird. I think he would get Superman.

Folks I know the perfect way for Superman to make a comeback for the mass audience. I think WB should make a 3D Animated movie based on Clark Kent\Superman shown in theatres. Give him the Pixar/Dreamworks treatment. Showcase what makes Superman so special. The movie can be mature without being dark or gritty. It can be colorful, action-packed and full of heart and hope, just like the Pixar movies. Especially The Incredibles. Speaking of which, have Brad Bird direct the film. The same guy who directed Iron Giant and Mission Impossible: Ghost Recon.

They can inspiration from...

• Christopher Reeve Superman (Directed by Richard Donner)
• The Fleischer & Bruce Timm cartoons
• 2D Animated Superman movies
• The live-action shows
• Most of all: The comics.

They can also take inspiration from media outside of Superman.

Plus, there's already Character models they can use for inspiration.

Then again that's just my opinion.

Let’s get this out the way. Now I can understand that Superman is not their cup of tea. I’ve read so many comment that they not only dislike Superman, but flat out hate him. All because he’s “not relatable” , he’s “too perfect”, he’s “boring”, or my personal favorite, that he’s “overpowered”. I never understood why Superman get that much hatred from people. He’s the embodiment of Hope, and very genuine person who wants to help and inspire people. Now, his popularity has went down and became ironically more underrated because of those reasons.

I sound like broken, but again, the problem with Superman is that he has been misunderstood and misrepresented in certain mediums including comics. Which led to people jumping to conclusions without doing their research. Superman is a victim of bad writing.

The level of disrespect that he gets is not even funny. Superman has been vilified more times than any other superhero ever. Even more than Cyclops.

I don’t what kind of propaganda/agenda that’s been in comics, but feel DC and Warner Brothers is conspiring against Superman.

It saddens me that much because how he’s mistreated over the years. Superman deserves better than this. And I think the best solution for him is to DC gets rid Superman altogether or kill him off in canon, but permanently.

I think the world needs a Superman, but we don’t deserve him.

DC Comics had a clean slate. A DC Universe without Superman involved. How would that turn out?

To the people who love Superman, this thread isn’t for you. This is for anybody who have a great disdain for Superman. You know, the ones that said he’s “too perfect”, he’s not “relatable”, he’s “boring” or my favorite, he’s “overpowered”. I can understand why some people don’t like Superman for these reasons, and how he’s not they're cup of tea. But hate? That a bit much. At the same time, I'm curious to know their logic and how it concludes to that.

So here are the questions I wanted ask them…

1. Why do you really hate Superman?
2. When did your hatred of Superman start?
3. You do know there are characters who are just as powerful or more than Superman right?
4. Have you researched enough information about Superman to make your argument?
5. Does Superman deserve to be hated by you or anyone else?
6. How would you want Superman to be portrayed?

Please note: This not me defending Superman in anyway, this is an open discussion. I want to know your opinions and please let’s be mature about this. Feel free to answer these questions as best as you can. The floor is yours.
