Radiance Shining Bright 0
When I read that a new female super hero was to premiere in all new invaders I was super excited and have been waiting patiently for this issue. Right off the bat love the art and this issue takes no time introducing Radiance. She is quickly compared to Dazzler (she has light powers, is an actress and singer) but that is where their similarities end. Where Dazzler shied away from a super hero life Radiance embraces it fully. She is slightly stoic but a take charge and out spoken person which I ...

Luna Does It Again! 3
" WOW." That's how i felt (and said out loud) after reading this issue. I haven't read a first issue this good since maybe Saga and even that isn't praise enough cause this was like twice as good. This goes to show you CAN write a perfect book. I've loved the Luna brothers since Sword and went back read their previous works Ultra and Girls and even those never got to me like this. After reading Whispers I was afraid they lost their touch but no, the true talent is in Jonathan Luna. His art (whic...

Another solid issue for Earth 2.The Good:As usual the art is strong and fits perfectly with this series. There is a really cool fight sequence involving Flash and its like super speed porkour. And the final page? Just beautiful. My fave character is Hawkgirl even though she is a total mystery and that is point of the intrigue with this book, all the things we have yet to learn. She plays a smaller part in this issue but that works for the story so i'm not complaining. This issue is narrated by Fl...

Better Then Batman 0
I will start off by saying that is the first book i read by Snyder that made me say "i guess he can write". i havent enjoyed his run on batman at all. the court of owls, when first introduced was a cool idea, but it dragged on for too long and created a pointless crossover (but not really a crossover since you didnt HAVE to read all the books involved). Also the whole conspiracy thing with the Court of Owls basically being the illumanati was just too much for me. besides that issue by issue of b...

JLA? NO! JLD 0
The Good:If you have been following Justice League Dark then you know how awesome this series has been. If you have never read this series then this is a great foray into its awesomeness. The art and writing is superb as ever. In this story we learn how Zatanna and Constantine first met and trained together in magic and eventually have a relationship. We also meet a new character Nick Necro who is their teacher and who will play a part in the current storyline. The story is narrated by Constanti...

Keeps Getting Better 0
This is going to be a little bit of an overview of the series since issue 151 til now, focusing on 159 as this issue continues the storyline that started in issue 151. Worrying there will be spoilers.I am ever pleasantly surprised with this series. Since the end of the Artifacts crossover that recreated the Top Cow universe its like new life has been breathed into the company. I only read Witchblade, Artifacts and the Darkness and I have been reading them essentially since their debut (give or t...

A Great Start 2
Pleasantly surprised. With the beautiful art of Aaron Lopresti and the incredible Christy Marx as writer (plus this being one of my favorite characters) I had great expectations and was not disappointed. The only bad part of this book is my own personal fondness of the original series and the world and characters in it. Because I read the original Amethyst series my prejudices against the changes kept raising up but I blocked them off and got wrapped up in this new story. This isn't the old Amy ...

no teen titans 0
the only good thing about this book is the art and the characters (not their characterazation but the characters themselves). Fairchild is my main reason for reading this book and when this book was annouced i was hoping for it to be a Gen 13 book and it pretty much is except Fairchild is the only member of the original Gen13 in the book. lobdell is one of my favorite writers, in fact for years he was my favorite writer and he used to write Gen13 but he doesnt capture Fairchild's character at al...
