I think this may be tough, but im going with current Carnage.

I'm a big Thor fan but........... If we were going to make this fight fair, you'd have to make it Rune King Thor. Really, any of the other Thor's lose to Ares in a pretty major way. Let's discount Ares' God Wave...which I think would only be counted by the Thor Force...(maybe). Ares is Smarter. And the madder Thor gets, the stronger Ares gets. Basically in the DC realm, Ares is a TRUE God, while Thor is powerful alien from another Realm, that we call a God.

I thought this could be interesting. They all are current versions. No Void. Battle happens in the desert.

But while reading up Wonder Woman's arch nemesis, and a WWH vs. Ares battle some people had some pretty convincing arguments that would at least give Ares a good fight vs. Majestic.
