"How will the team be divided?" By making loads of cash! Marvel loves money now that thy have "popular" movies. Who cares about X-Men when you got money coming from Hollywood elitist and brainwashed movie goer minions.
If you read the more recent author notes in Lucifer Book One you'll note that Mike Carey and Neil Gaiman weren't sure the comic series be a success because it was essentially based off of John Milton's controversial Paradise Lost (which is a fictional Protestant version of the Devil). If the idea that Milton, Gaiman, and Carey had goes away than it basically is worthless and has no philosophical or religious value to it. I don't now how Holly Black;s version has been playing out (scared to read it) but it's very odd to be out around the same time of the crappy television show. If it's to promote him as a LAPD-type detective than it's absolute garbage. If it's about him questioning the existence of life and the power/authority of God than it's worth reading.
I liked MMPR when it was on in the 1990's but the first three season have been done so much it gets really tiring especially when they take out that 1990's California-style culture (maybe they do this because kids these days would find it outdated?). However, Power Rangers Dino Charge is a great series and possibly the best one post-Zordon. But the best versions will always be the original Super Sentai which pre-dates the American by 20+ years and going on it's 40th installment.
@xblah_blahx: It's because Marvel sees diversity as money unlike the lesser known comic companies where the characters aren't judged by what they are but by the story itself.
