It’s a brisk winter morning on the bus when I decide to open my Kindle app and buy something for the journey. With the Swamp Thing Annual on the brain, I decide to search for Becky Cloonan and come across two titles, Wolves and The Mire. I pick both up for a total of £0.98 and get to reading. Wolves is a chilling little tale, its stern inks complemented by a harsh story, enhanced by the sharpness of the wind whistling against my bus window. However it is The Mire that captivates me that morning....
