List items

  • My Robin the first robin a theme with these characters for most is simply i grew up with them identified with them or wanted to be more like them and nothing represents all three like Grayson he grew up along with me first a robin (though i was never a fan of the pixie boots). then went out on his own as Nightwing then eventually adulthood as batman (although hes gone back again) is now a spy something im looking forward to and hope brings further development to the character.

  • another hero i loved growing up who (despite the retcons) has grown to be an awesome character but also one who has made mistakes which leads to some great stories. again id want to be like him at time i felt i could be like him but im a radioactive spider bite short.

  • A character i never expected to love so much i loved batman growing up but knew no one could be like batman (except batman) until Terry arrived talk about wish fulfillment trained by batman like robin but left to grow and develop his on path own rouges (something Nightwing always lacked) yet like spidey was prone to mistakes and was assessable.

  • The bat. I gravitated to two things as a kid Batman and Sherlock Holmes. (best bedtime stories as a kid haha) my obsession with the character started like most with the animated series then the comic books and has had such a bigger influence on me than i probably realize.

  • Super-Speed is my favorite power hands down and i love both flashes (Barry & Wally) but had to choose between the two although i adore the JLU Flash (Wally) Barry has stood the test of time between the two(open to the idea of the New 52 wally but its not the character i grew up with). Also not only does he have my favorite power but whats likely my dream job (besides from being a superhero)too.

  • The man without fear. Abiet slightly silly origin the backstory surrounding him is great and has led to some great stories (and great art) daredevil is another character that has stood the test of time and (currently) one of the consistently good ongoings.

  • Sidekick turned Tragic "villian" then damaged Anti-hero the main focus of my favorite Captain America story and has great standalone stories and one of the better character developments Ive seen in a while (also he looks awesome and inspired on of marvels best movies)

  • Maybe not as much of a superhero compared to some on this list but i love the character too much for him not to have a spot on here. Drawn and coloured by the fantastic Mike & Laura Allred respectively. Is one of the more complex and downright strange characters ive grown to enjoy.

  • Not just a icon but a great character (although hard to write) superman is one i liked growing up but have only just begun to appreciate. More than jut a boy-scout Also I thought man of steel was awesome(not perfect but still really good)Just saying.

  • More complex than is given credit at times Diana is awesome bad-ass and much more Despite her kinky origins. Has a great mythology surrounding her and powers combined with a lethal mindset that give supes a run for his money. (although the invisible jet idea was stupid)
