Math is absolutely necessary. I think one of the greatest challenges is appreciating it and even enjoying it. It’s problem solving at the perfect theoretical level. Awesome post!

@captainmarvel4ever:I know, right? Sometimes it feels that they aren't even trying with this column. So many great moments lost, it's sad...

@jacthripper: You are probably just trolling calling Green Lantern lame but I only had to look at the past five years of comic sales to prove you wrong. In that time Wonder Woman beat Green Lantern in 4 maybe 5 months. Green Lantern has been outselling Superman 75% of the time. And it's impossible to beat Batman in sales unless you go with gimmicky re-numberings or events so there. Then again, considering your avatar is President Loki there is little to no common ground for us to have a meaningful conversation.

To be fair, I do actually read Green Lantern (and Green Lanterns), and unfortunately, the writing is terrible. There hasn't been a really original storyline since Hal came back. "Oh no, now the Guardians are evil, there's no way Hal could prevail against that!!!" Oh wait, he does anyways, by doing the exact same thing he always does-- hitting as hard as he can. Even if he alone is outmatched, it's a good thing that the Lantern Corps that all hate each other will unite at the last moment to defeat the great evil that has come...

Seriously, Green Lantern doesn't have good writing.

Aquaman at least hopped off the never ending cycle by getting Black Manta to do something else. Superman has a new focus on the Father and Son dynamic, Wally West is finally back and in the Teen Titans. The problem with Green Lantern is that Hal hasn't changed at all. He's exactly the same now as he was when he came back from being the Spectre. There isn't anything refreshing about his story that makes me want to pick it up.

Also, I love how you think that me having a Loki image for a profile makes me unapproachable. "ooh he likes Marvel too, SCARY"

DC is winning as far as comics are concerned right now, as Marvel is trying to pander to the casual film watchers rather than comic fans.

Honestly, before Original Sin, Marvel had better comics than DC on the whole. But now it's just getting stupid. I mean, the Inhuman comics are kinda nice, really enjoy Karnak-- but he doesn't do anything with the Inhumans in his comic. Black Bolt sits on the sidelines despite being one of the coolest characters the Inhumans produced. Medusa is dating Johnny Storm because they don't know what the heck to do with him now that they got rid of the FF. They've neutered every one of their successful comics in order to bring Inhumans to the front, so that when the movie comes out people might care.

@apokos7: Well, it probably has to do with Green Lantern being so lame that even though there are 5 of them from Earth, none of them come close to outselling Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman.

Honestly, not even excited.

The premise is stupid, don't you think they'd remember the Civil War they already had, or does that not exist anymore in Rebootland?

This is where it gets interesting, because American citizens are considered equally protected under the constitution. The question becomes, how far can the government extend that. Do businesses have the right to deny catering to Gay Marriages? That depends on how far the government goes. Since the baker isn't required by law to sell his goods, and is entitled to privacy (established by Griswold v. Connecticut) which includes freedom of thought, technically, he doesn't have to explain why he's denying service. If he does state, "I won't because your gay" or something along those lines, then he is crossing that line, and the Gay couple would have standing to sue.

Karnak is my favorite, but it's a monthly.

And this is where user activity plummets daily due the the inability to use it at work, school, or government facilities.

Hmm, I dunno. Maybe with the 4 basic elements. But they invented some totally new stuff (lava bending for example) and it showed how all-round and amazing metalbending can be. Then again, I found metalbending to be sort of over taking regular earth bending, especially since now 'EVERYONE' could do it with ease.

I agree. The Earth Kingdom always had lagged behind the Fire Nation because of the latter's ability to forge metal superiorly, but metal bending changed that, so it became a major necessity.
