Just read RYV 15.
Don't know how to feel about this issue. The only part I really liked was the lesson Peter is teaching Annie while following the Lizard through the tunnel.
After that the dialogue is average or cringy, the villain was thematically bad and overall it was just kinda, blah.

@ursaber I enjoyed RYV. I felt it a bit when Annie got wounded...how was Sinister "thematically bad?". I thought it was a great surprise...though I wish it'd have been an entirely new villain. Loved Peter's big speech to Annie, and we learn Annie still has her visions (wish we'd see more of them)
Sinister wasn't thematically bad, I was talking about that Dr Kikos or something.
Peter's speech to Annie and MJ supporting and backing Peter up in those lessons and what to do with Lizard was the best part of this comic. How Peter acknowledges he's said Power and Responsibility so many times is also a good detail.
I like that they remember the Mole Man and that Annie again brought back the idea of the Spider Visions. However I can't believe she hasn't used it in eight years. She only used it during the Mole Man arc and the X-Men arc. Afterwards it went silent.
Well I just finished reading it and to me....
.....I thought this issue........
was REALLY REALLY GOOD!
The whole issue's theme was Annie learning what being a hero is all about. She maybe trained as a fighter, but she doesnt mentally know how to be one. She seems to somewhat think it's black and white. Beat up the criminals and save the day, but it's never that way in the Spider-Man world. She learns to trust people, even ones who may seem like the kind to stab you in the back.
She is slowly learning what Great Power, Great Responsibility REALLY MEANS.
I was happy! She isn't made to be such a mary sue or an all knowledgable teen. And she is incredibly touched by what her father says and learns he is really willing her to try to do this.
As for your statement about her Spider-Visions. It never states she hasnt used it in 8 years. She says it hasn't happened currently, and the way she explains it, it seems that she has had them often. And she is very against trusting the Lizard and thus assumes she isnt seeing a vision because she KNOWS its a trap. I like that stubbornness!
Dr Kriko's appearance was rather fun as well. Dunno much about him but they grant a good explination that he is an Inhuman and is intwined with Medusa.
...and then it was all like SUPRISE! It wasnt even him! It was this X-Men villain guy. I dunno much bout him either, but you guys do. His name is mister Sinister eh? Houser is smart to BOLD the word SINISTER in the monologue box to give that hint to the audience
ANd we are granted a really interesting theme to this era. Seems that alotta villains are still inspired by the work Regent had done and attempt to do their own work replicating the feature to steal or acquire powers of another.
I also enjoy the Montage of fun other Marvel characters, but I wich they interacted more then just being background. Real missed opportunity.
This series is really turning around!
