The Saga of the Alec-err Swamp-Thing! 0

This was a must buy for me SCOTT SNYDER AND YANICK PAQUETTE ON SWAMPTHING yep. Despite this being a "Swamp Thing book a Swamp Thing only appears once. Also if you're dropping Dc because of the reboot atleast pick up Swamp Thing there is absolutley no refrences to it being a Reboot unless the Superman's costume but other wise it refrences Brightest Day and this is the Alan Moore Swamp Thing too! Good! Cover is really cool I really like the frog on the cover best part of the cover really. So this ...

It's Great to be back! But hey weres Zealot and Majestic?!?! 0

Ah this weeks selection of DC books are much much better then before and guess what Wildstorm is back! After a what seems and may have been a year their back! Good! Well I'll start with there is a funny little scene with Jenny Quantnum and Adam One which was really funny.  Oh and the art is great. Plus the Madame Web lady appears too. For some reason the side of J'onn's head is kinda cool plus he has good diologue. Jack Hawksmoor has some AWESOME SCENES in the issue. I really like Projectionist ...

Justice League... 0

The Justice League has been the biggest DCNU book and Geoff Johns & Jim Lee things can't go wrong right? Well they do. Good! Batman is a beast in this issue and there is a scene(very vague considering their really the only characters in the issue) with Green Lantern in which SPOILERS SINCE IT'S PROBABALLY STORY WISE THE BEST PART OF THE STORY! Batman takes Gl's ring off which was kinda cool but I don't really know if it's possible I'm not a GL Expert I really just read Corps and soon New Gua...

Flashpoint: The End ...? 0

As Flashpoint begins the DcNu begins. Yes I gave it a 3.5 why? Because this was a lame ending to a great series. Good. Well Superman of this universe has a very err interesting scene with Enchantress I liked that. I also enjoyed Batman's advice to Zoom. The Art was great. Someone leaves someone a letter at the end and it was nice to see.  Oh everyone's favorite Zealot appears which was nice but hey is she in the DCNU? It sure would be nice oh yeah Maul appears too! Grifter and the Resistence and...

...The End.... 0

This is the end of the secret six and a good one at that.  Writing... Well this was amazing we have a ton of guest stars a great cliffhanger. so it's pretty much the Six vs half the dcu  and it's a good one we get a conclusion to the Liana arc which is pretty nice. Penguin is a snake and hopefully King Shark eats him in suicide Squad. Oh King Shark eats a guys legs off which is pretty great King Shark is probabally my favorite member of the Secret Six. It was nice seeing so many characters in th...

Flashpoint: Flashpoint really likes annoying me! 0

Despite this being an enjoyable event Flashpoint continues  to kill off my favorite characters I don't know why but they just have everyone of my top 3 heroes have been killed. Plus it didn't help with this one I was spoiled before hand accidentally because I was on the Dc Message Boards and went on to a thread which had absolutley no mention of Flashpoint or that there were SPOILERS at all and the mentioned a certain characters death so here I will mention it when you see *SPOILERS* turn you're...

Captain America! 0

I actually saw this movie openning night but didn't know that you could review movies here too(Or knew and forgot) this story takes place during WW2 and is an origin story for Cap.  I originally thought this film would be better then Thor but it turned out to be vice versa for me atleast. Good. Despite the previous statement the movie was good just liked Thor better story wise. The opening scene is very good it aludes to the Norse gods & Red Skull. Steve Rodger is portrayed greatly and the c...

Legends never die... 0

How does heroes like Cap, Thor, and Rogue take death? Find out here. Captain America. So we finally see how Cap feels about "The Death" of a hero he could have stoped one that he caused. it's very well written and Aunt May has some great dilogue and Steve definitley seems to regret alot of stuff. Which he should it's his fault.   Cap'sArt. Art didn't exactly impress me it was average. Thor. My favorite story we get a glimpse of Valhalla and see other dead Ultimate heroes like Wasp, Ant-Man, Cycl...

Ultimate Spider-Man comes to an end... 0

Ultimate Fallout begins here  and Ultimate Spider-Man officially ends here.  Writing. This was an amazing ending to an amazing series it may not be an issue of the first volume but it is written by the same creative team. This does resolve a lot of stuff from DOS. The first few pages have little diologue but as it goes on there is more . There is a scene before the (SPOILER funeral SPOILER) that is really nice that features Aunt May and a girl who Peter saved from a fire. It's got great dilogue ...

One Question: What's with the fish?!?!? 0

Okay great book but  what's with the fishes on the cover?!?!?!? Okay so the arc continues and despite being called the Dark Angel Saga Warren hasn't appeared at all yet! But that doesn't take away that this is a great book I never would have gotten this book if it wasn't for the amazing reviews so thanks to all the reviewers(The really only X-Men books I've ever gotten is Ultimate X-Men great book btw)!  Writing. So we continue from were the last issue ended with[SPOILERS] AOA Jean[SPOILERS] and...

Now this is the writer who wrote BN: Titans! 1

I'm back sorry I haven't been reviewing lateley I have a couple books from my Birthday (Kid Flash Lost, B&R, Batman Inc, Secret 6, Green Hornet,RR,Avengers Academy, & Zatanna oh yeah I forgot Uncanny X-Force) and some others (GLC,Ultimate Fallout, & Journey into Mystery)  So I have a lot of work to do! So I temporarilly dropped TT because it has been a boring for awhile sorry just my opinion.  It's main problem for me has been the use of villains. Now while I agree the TT needs some ...

Canterbury Cricket Rebirth! 1

This is a very interesting story about a con artists second chance at life as a patriotic hero. Writing. The story is an interesting one and a good one-shot it tells the story it's supposed to tell ends it leaving possibilies for mor Cricket but rends right when it should no clifhangers well sort of. An interesting thing is that this story introduces a new characters like the Canterbury Cricket. Mrs. Hyde, and Jinny Greenteath but uses obscure characters like Godiva(cool choice), Blue Beetle(sor...

Hello sorry but can I have some directions to get to 2011? 0

Awwww hopefully next time there will be more FP counterparts instead of just *SPOILERS* braniac*SPOILERS* Not really big spoilers because there listed as a character in the book but anyway heres my review. Writing.  Sterling Gates does a good job on this book. So the story is very good for what it is but doesn't seem crucial to Flashpoint or Flash but I'm a Kid Flash fan so I'll keep reading. I found something confusing with Hot Pursuit I'm not going to say who's under the mask but here's my que...

The End... Captain America Stinks! 0

The last issue of Ultimate Spider-Man is here will he live or die? Find out here! Writing. First off sorry about the break but I got a ton of comics on my birthday and this one was my favorite. Brian Michael Bendis ends the series off the same way he started it with amazing writing. Spider-Man is ver heroic in this issue and written well. I may not be the biggest fan of MJ+Peter in the Ultimate Universe it's written so well here I don't mind. Johnny Storm is well written here but Peter reall sho...

Flashpoint: Secrets & Lies? 0

Wonder Woman and Aquaman are about to walk down the isle but not if [secret character] has anything to do with it!  Writing. First let me tell you I haven't read very much WW stuff but this is really good and if this was an ongoing I'd probablly get it. So we get a glimpse of Flashpoint Garth eh that kinda annoyed me a bit but thats it. Really a great story that has you left wondering alot of things. Wonder Woman is really really awesome in this book as is Aquaman! There is great diologue! We do...

Flashpoint: Aquaman & Friends! 0

What started the war? What happened to Hypolyta? Why aren't Aquaman and Wonder Woman still together? Oops wrong book but this one is more enjoyable in my opinion! Writing. Emperor Aquaman is a semi-new character yet written very very well and made an interesting character. There is a bunch of mystery regarding Mera, Orm(Read WW&TF), and Wonder Woman and the Amazons too! Geo-Force poor guy! Mera actually seemed like she was kind, and less warrior but thats not saying she doesn't kick butt. Te...

Spider-Man fights the Sinister Six, Aunt May defines Awesome & More! Writing. Well this was my favorite comic I got and I thought Emperor Aquaman and Wonder Woman & the Furies were both great. This comic had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and I wasn't even sitting! This book is so well written and entertaining anyone who's not reading it is missing out! Brian does an amazing job with the story and diologue. Aunt May really shines in this issue plus the diologue is so good it r...

FLASHPOINT: Booster Gold V.S. The Sea Devils! 0

Wow SPOILER but if you're on this page and saw the character list and the cover for #46 it's not that big! SPOILERS!!! Okay you were warned Doomsday?!?!? Now this is my single complaint for the issue Superman got killed by Doomsday and he is arguably the strongest super hero and no Spectre doesn't count he's anti-heroish sort of. So how is Booster Gold, The greatest hero you've never heard of going to survive I mean honestly he's a B+ or A- list hero. Art. The story cold have been the worst sto...

Date Night. 1

Don't let the title decieve you there are no chainsaws (I do like the titles though) and the cover Bane is in it as a major character for 6 pages but this might just be my favorite issue. Story. Liana's story from the preivious arc is complete and Bane goes on a date a very funny one and the last page of his story is pretty funny. Some great diologue for Bane & the Six. Liana is a really interesting I mean at the end of her part I'm kind of left wondering what is the thing that the one guy i...

FLASHPOINT PRESENTS: FLASH V.S. BATMAN! 0

Plot: Deathstroke and his Pirate crew(Icicle, Fisherman, Tattooed Man, Machiste, Clayface, etc) are in the ruins of Paris were they encounter Emporer Aquaman & his trusty sidekick Ocean Master. Steve Trevor meets Wonder Woman and her deadly Amazons. Barry Allen and Batman attempt to make Lightning Strike Twice!  Writer Now I only have one complaint *MINOR SPOILERS* Deathstroke V.S. Aquaman doesn't really happen it is more forshadowed in the first few pages. The appearent villains are shown t...

Not as good as I expected. 0

Story: Yeah not entirley sure what it's about um all I can tell you is Shade the Changing Man is taunted by memories of dead friends and experimented on and might have killed those friends. Story: I'm sorry but this story is really really hard to follow and craz. Enchantress is a very cool character, so is Black Orchid, but I don't know much about Shade and this book doesn't help we know he led the Secret Seven at one point we also know he is a bit crazy.  Now I was reallt excited for this it wa...

All Hel Wolves go to Hel? 0

Story. Loki's adventure continues as does Fear Itself and with Thor locked up and Loki starting trouble who will save Asgard? Writing.  Loki is very interesting and you're still left wondering one thing: Is Loki a Hero or Villain? Volstagg still seems like a big jerk(literally) but he saves Loki which I get why Volstagg is being a jerk to Loki I mean yeah he was once a horrible person but he seems like he's atleast a bit better person now.  Oh yeah Fire Breathing Goats must I say more? Oh yeah ...

FLASHPOINT: Traci 13 Secret Origins! 0

I'm Back!Flashpoint continues in World of Flashpoint and it doesn't disappoint.  Traci is a character I've only read a few issues of Teen Titans and the Co-Feature Coven(Also written by Rex Ogle) and she seems pretty interesting nothing that amazing but in this wow does she stand out. Traci & her Father are living in the ruins of Paris after their home being destroyed and their family dying which Traci might have been able to save which Traci's father resents her for. Plus now theres a cha...

"Wonder Woman left quite the impression on me it's time I left one on her."- Captain Thunder Art Andy Kuberts art is amazing especially all the scenes with Batman all of the characters look different which is very good. Writing. This is an amazing read and is very interesting featuring altered favorites of mine (Captain Thunder, S!H!A!Z!A!M!, Citizen Cold, Enchantress, Shade(Rac) and much much more Hoppy the Marvel Bunny and Tawky Tawny too!) Well that was a bit of a let down of an ending. Not much is resolved and at the end every thing is well SPOILER!!!!!!SPOILER!!!!!                           They're right back to were they started hunting Max Lord except no everyone remembers him kinda but thinks he's a good guy! Seige of Swamp-Thing! Death of Heroes! 1

Brightest Day #24 is very very good and shocking it'll have you on the edge of you're seat the whole time and the ending is a total cliffhanger all of the endings. Deaths Check, Battles Check, and a awesome cliffhanger Check. Art. Ivan Reis's art is amazing and shows all the emotion well except one character during one scene that features a death they are drawn as sad as you'd think. Gleason's art is fine not amazing but good. Syaf's art very good for the short time it's on. Scott Clark's art i...

War of the Crayola Calvalry! 0

Well since this is the only WOTGL tie in I'm buying it's a bit confusing but I don't really care because it's really good. Cover. So I'm okay with the cover but it's not that amazing Lopresti is a great artist but this by far not his best work. Best work I'd have to say is JL:GL #1. It just doesn't fit for the GL'S or in this case the BL'S SC'S RL'S and IT'S(Blue Lantern, Sinestro Corps, Red Lanten, and Indigo Tribe) Art. Is great. There all drawn very well.  Very consistant. writing. It's a gre...

One of the most interesting Marvel Comics I've read! 1

So I went to the Library and was looking in the Graphic Novel section and I saw the TPB(Trade Paper Back if you don't know) of Runaways Vol.1 and thought what the heck I'll read it and well it was amazing. This book had a shocking ending(Atleast I thought so) and before I get to the next issues I'll review this first one. So the basic sypnopsis is a group of couples meet up every year for a party every year and bring their kids. Well at the party the kids see that their parents SPOILER SPOILER S...

BRIGHTEST DAY OR BLACKEST NIGHT! 0

Brightest Day is coming to an end and is it a great end or what? ANSWER: GREAT! Brightest Day is in my honest opinion the best event book I've read. So if you're wondering who the Champion and the Dark Avatar is you'll find out in this issue. Geoff Johns is a great writer. We also see how Brightest Day is affecting the rest of the DCU. Also there's a return of an obscure but awsome favorite of mine that narrows it down to just about every obscure character.   Art is amazing I am excited for Ivan...

Ragdoll Ruler of Hell! 0

WOW! For those unfortunate people who aren't reading the Secret Six I really feel sorry for you. STORY!!!!!!!!!! This is an amazing arc so far. So while this isn't as witty and funny as other issues it's still got humor. Action packed issue this is honestly the most concistant book I've ever read. The Ending was extremely shocking so I'm not going to spoil it because if I did you'd be really mad you read it before reading the book. ART!! Pretty good art it works perfect for this book.   HINT HIN...

I have always been a big Titans fan and hate it when the books aren't as good as they should be but J.T. Krul did a great job in this issue. Cover.  Nice cover I think it's good a bit bland but nice. Story. The story is good J.T. Krul addresses a death none of the Titans knew about or cared about their disapearence so good job on that. Nice diologue all though Krul has been good there were a few times I sighed a bit but good. I don't usually read GLC although I should because Kyle Rayner is my favorite Green Lantern but I'll start reading now. Art: Tyler Kirkhams art is really really good. The cover art is amazing and one of the main reasons I bought the book. Writing is Amazing too I haven't read the preivious issues but if there as good as this I might have to get this too. Firestormjs last stand! Death in the family. 0

I was at first unsure whether or not I'd pick this up because Firestorm's story has been the least interesting but this was issue 22(my favorite number) so I thought why not. I picked this issue up and I didn't regret it one bit. I've been a fan of Firestorms supporting cast member Pohzar and Firehawk I think that's how you spell Pohzar's name(?) but haven't ever been a huge firestorm fan a bit but not a huge one and this issue changed that.  Okay the Anti-Monitor V.S Firestorm battle is very ve...

DOOM PATROL V.S BATMAN, THE JLA, THE TEEN TITANS AND SUPER-HIP? 0

I pick up Doom Patrol every once in a while and it's always an enjoyable book I picked this issue up and there were no mistakes. I kind of find it wierd that I got the first part of the SS/DP crossover featuring my favorite DC teams and another team of awesome obscure characters  but never got the second part in Doom Patrol. So the Doom patrol members mobe in with none other then Super-Hip I'll have to edit this page because Super-Hip is in the issue and the page doesn't mention it. Mathew Clark...

This is my first issue of T.H.U.N.D.E.R Agents and can assure you it won't be my last,  COVER: Amazing cover Francis should do way more covers. I really like the text it has a good amount on the cover which makes up for the few panels with no diologue. WRITING. I have recently learned that Nick Spencer is now a Marvel exclusive which is kind of sad I enjoyed the Jimmy Olsen Co-Feature and this issue is very good. I'm more of a DC fan myself but Ultimate Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man, and Avengers Acedamy are all great books.  No one dies in this issue not yet but it's really good. So none of the villains on the cover appear in this issue the wrighting is amazing but the art is average in my honest opinion I am not just a person who can't draw who says people are bad at art I am actually a good drawer I actually plan to scan and upload a drawing of the secret six I did.  I'm so excited for Mark Bagley to...

Suprisingly Good! 0

I picked this up mainly to see what would happen with Osiris and Isis and I've always been a huge Titans fan but the Wallace run has really been a let down so far but this issue is very good I'm actually happy I didn't drop this book. So things are starting to get interesting as tension rises. The ending wasn't that shocking because of the cover and solicit for the next issue. The main problem with Teen Titans is the Villains are bland and not interesting but Drago who has been alluded to the wh...

I was super excited about the new creative team J.T Krul who wrote the amazing Blackest Night: Titans but this arc is okay.  Nicola Scott is a great artist and is still doing a good job not as good as the preivious issues but her art is still Amazing. The diologue is good but the main problem is the story I get the Idea of new villains but these new villains are really boring nothing really exciting. I'm not a J.T Krul hater BN: Titans was so good but this book is kinda boring because these vill...
