The Coupling 0

Plot: Stephanie teams up with Klarion. The Art: Wow, Dustin Nguyen paints some of his art here and it's beautiful. The way he portrays the characters is extremely well done. Teekl and the unnamed familiar cat are drawn amazingly here.Story and Script:Stephanie Brown is somewhat Spider-Man like with all of her quips and it really works. The plot for this issue is much more exciting than that of the last. Klarion despite what you may think is actually pretty likable and sympathetic here.I love the ...

The New Dynamic Duo! 0

So learning that Didio disliked Stephanie really sparked my interest in the character. Most if not all things Didio dislikes, tend to be...well really good. So due to that I decided to pick up some issues of Stephanie as Batgirl.Plot: Stephanie and Damian team up.The Art: Is fantastic. The cover is great as well.Story and Script: From the first page you're interested in the story. Bryan Q. Miller writes an amazing Damian. His journal entry itself is worth the price of the book. This is where we ...

Will Hawkeye be able to hit the Target? 0

Plot: What does Clint Barton do when he's not with the Avengers ??? Answers can be found here...The Art: The art style is very simple and clean and well done. Lots of panels, and detailed backgrounds. David Aja gives this book a feel rooted in real life.Story and Script: This is how a first issue should go, you're introduced to the main character and what he does. There isn't a ton of continuity for new readers to know about just a nice, fun stand alone comic. We are instantly introduced to Clin...

It's not Easy being Green 0

For prior reviews Swamp Thing #1 and Swamp Thing #2.The Plot: What happened to Abby Holland??? What happened to the world? Swamp Thing finds that while he was in the Rot a lot of things happened. The Art: Yanick Paquette's art is amazing here. The panel layout itself is fantastic but the art is great. The Story and Script: Swamp Thing has been building up to this moment since issue one, and don't get me wrong it's a good start but I can't help but feel a bit let down. The best scenes in this issue...

The Collector.. 0

For prior reviews Chew: Secret Agent Poyo #1 Chew #27 Chew #28Plot: As Toni, Agent Colby, and Caesar zero in on the Collector Poyo is off fighting and being awesome! The Art. Continues to be great. Nothing new here. The humorous Easter eggs are great and I enjoy finding them. The cover is a bit bland compared to past covers. The Story and Script: The dialogue is spot on and funny, the scene where Colby and the gang find the Collector and Colby tells him to freeze reminded me a lot of Doakes from D...

So Much Awesome! 0

Plot: Damian celebrates Halloween!Art: Oh my! Dustin Nguyen does some of his best work here, the colors, the art it's perfect. I love all the Easter eggs in this issue.Story: This is such a great issue. The more I see of Damian the more I like him. This and Batman Inc, continue to make Damian my favorite Robin. This issue is so fun, we get to see what the League of Assassins do on Halloween and it's awesome. The whole issue is just tons of fun, from the beginning with Damian getting ready to go ...

Battle Royale! 0

For prior reviews Batman, Incorporated #2 Batman, Incorporated #3 Batman, Incorporated #0Plot: It's an all out battle issue when Batman Inc takes on the League of Assassins! Wingman's identity will be revealed!Art: WOW! Chris Burnham just kills it on this book! All the detail, the first page with Talia looking out at Monarch Theater is just fantastic. Only negative I have is that with the certain character reveal, this characters face looks extremely awkward.Plot: There are only two things about...

For prior reviews Angel & Faith #10 Angel & Faith #12 Angel & Faith #13.Plot: Dark Willow's back! Will Angel, Faith, & Connor survive when Willow goes over to the dark side? While they restore Giles? The Art: Great art as usual.Plot: The character interaction is spot on as usual. Dark Willow's return is great, all though that demon guy just kind of gets forgotten. Disappointment 0

For my reviews for prior issues Angel & Faith #10 Angel & Faith #12 Angel & Faith #13 Angel & Faith #14Plot: Whistler and Angel meet again...Art: Great cover. This book has two artists, the first is pretty good but there are some really awkward scenes. There is a scene where Angel and Whistler are talking, and their faces look extremely rushed. I've seen Lee Garbett's art before and it's usually pretty good, but here it's inconsistent. The second artist does a fine job, not anyth...

Not Barbara Gordon! 0

There is a bit of a controversy regarding this comic, as Nightwing was originally intended to be Stephanie Brown, but then Didio decided that Steph isn't nearly as great as the all mighty and iconic BARBARA GORDON! Yet don't let it fool you, perhaps in name yes she is Babs. However in aditude and characterization she seems much more like Stephanie. The GOOD! Stephanie(Yes that's what I'm going to call her) is great, and has some great lines. There are some nice refrences to charac...

100 2

Plot: Meet the New Teen Titans. Intro: This was the book that made me a TT fan. I was brought into comics through the Teen Titans cartoon, but this was the first Teen Titans comic(Actually a trade) I ever read. The Good. The series introduces you to all of the characters and they all have distinct personalities. Bart is the nice guy trying to live up to his family legacy, Tim is the semi-socially awkward smart kid, Connor is some what rebelious and wants to pave his o...

Club of Heroes... 0

In the zero issue, we take a look back to when Batman began building Batman Incorporated. The Art. Chris Burnham please come back! I find Frazer Irving's art to be all over the place. The colors very bleak, and doesn't really fit the tone of the story. The faces are pretty wierd, and the new design for Mr. Unknown is pretty bad. The art's not bad but it isn't all that great either. The Writing. The issue is a good jumping on point for new readers, more so than the first issue. I...

A Day in the Life 0

A look behind the scenes of the Globes greatest heroes. The Art. That cover is beautiful. I also love there isn't an ad on the back of the book. Todd Nauck's pencils are amazing and really bring the characters to life. The Writing. Something I like about this book, is each character really has their own voice. There is some nice character interaction. We really get to see more of what these heroes personal lives are like, and it's pretty interesting. The book balanc...

Chew: Animals! 0

Plot: In Space Cakes Part Three, John and Poyo enlist Tony's help! Also POYO V.S. TONI! The Art. Awesome, I love the cover and the logo is amazing! I love seeing the Chew gang as animals. Something I've mentioned before is how much I love the continuity with the art, Tony's room still looks the same and even the cards and balloons are the same. It's just pretty cool. Story. So we finally learn more on how Toni and that one guy know each other(I don't recall his name) and it's pret...

Beginnings 0

Plot: Several Years Ago...Earth-2 origins of Robin and Supergirl. Art. The art is great and it feels very old fashioned, the colors are pretty. Alot of it reminds me of the art of Infinite Crisis where Powergirl learns her origin and we see all those flashbacks. The Story: It tells the story of Helena Wayne and Karen Starr on Earth-2, and for the most part seems pretty faithful to their origins. I really enjoy Catwoman in this issue and her costume is great, and forshadows what Hel...

AXE-COP! 0

Oh my gosh this is Crazy with a capital C! Evil robot brothers,a Chee-Rex, and so much more! Art. The art is awesome! I love the designs of Chee-Rex, Goo-Cop, and basically everyone. There is a scene on Water World, where the art looks different. Story. The villains in Axe-Cop have so much more common sense then you're usual comicbook villains. I mean why doesn't every villain have a "Kill All Traitor's" button on their ship. I said this before in my "Why You Yes You Should Read...

A Fun Book 3

Edison attempts to make amends for his past wrongs and become Earth's Mightiest Hero! The Art: The art is pretty nice and fits the tone pretty well. I really like the costumes in the book. The Story: The main negative is last issue we had a cliffhanger with an alien turtle which was crazy and all sorts of awesome. Yet this issue we just kind of ignore that and Edison takes on this "Captain Marvel Jr" esque Viking, who is a man who uses a wheelchair but can turn into a radioactive viking...

Everything is Totally Sweet! 0

Intro: So a bunch of my friends are Scott Pilgrim fans and kept telling me how good it is. So finally I asked one of my friends if I could borrow Scott Pilgrim Vol. 1, I wasn't expecting how good this would be. Art: It's really cool manga-style art and works great for the story. Writing: The characters are pretty funny some times. Each character is showcased and we really get a good feel for each and everyone. The video game references are fun, and the characters are interesting. ...

Grave Danger... 0

The world has gone to hell as the heroes have disappeared, now only their sidekicks remain and the goverment has turned on them. Art. As I said in my last review, the art is great it's gritty when it needs to be and has some great action. The Story. Unlike the Teen Titans, the goverment turning on the sidekicks isn't forced it makes sense here. After all Apollo did there is atleast there is some reason for why the goverment wanted to take teens into custody. This issue slows down a ...

What the Teen Titans should be! 0

Meet the Danger Club! Art. The artist worked on books on Batman the Brave and the Bold, and the Supergirl Adventures book but boy does this book get gritty and he does a great job portraying the grit and violence. It's action-packed and gory. He does a good job making the characters look like actual teens. The designs are pretty cool as well. The artist does a great job portraying such a bleak world. Also the homage cover on the first page is an interesting idea and it's well done. ...

"You Can't Predict Matches" 0

In Part Three of the conclusion to Grant Morrisons Batman Epic Matches Malone returns. The Good. Last issue I gave a five, it was a fantastic peak into the past of Talia Al Ghul this issue does something similar with Matches Malone. This issue continues from Issue One, we learn the fate of Damian, and see the all new and all awesome Bat-Cow. Seeing Batman as an actual Detective is cool as well, despite him being the "Worlds Greatest Detective" we never actually see him do such and that is a co...

Look into the Eye of the Gorgon 0

Plot: Take a peak into the past of Talia Al Ghul. Good: I haven't reviewed a DC comic in a while but wow just wow is this one worth it. Grant Morrison crafts a fantastic and intriguing tale focused on the daughter of the demon, the mother of the current Robin, the former girlfriend of the Bat. This is a Batman story that cannot be missed. The origin of one Talia Al Ghul while not neccisarlly something new is told in a way that will keep the reader entertained. It is a nice long read,...

AWESOME!!! 0

Plot: Spidey VS Prowler Round Two!!!! Good: So let me say when I started reading UC:SM I found it a bit boring. Now #12 issues later heres my opinion: EPIC!!!! Wow, just wow. Every issue I like Miles more than I did the last. He's a completely new Spider-Man. David Marquez knocks this issue out of the park like his prior issues. The book is filled with some small bits of humor. We see Miles use some of his new powers(invisibility). The fight with Prowler is intense, and ends with...

Starts Slow, Ends with a Great Cliffhanger 0

Plot: I won't give to much away at the risk of spoiling anything so I'll just say the book focuses on a girl named Autumn. Cover: The cover is truely a fantastic one, the lettering is so very simple but I can't help but think how truely awesome it is. The artist reminds a bit of Fiona Staples. However I do have a problem with it, despite looking great it(along with the title) has very litte do with the premise(atleast so far). Art: As I previousley stated the art is really nice here i...

Pure Fun! 0

Plot: Space Cakes Part Two of Five, Tony's sister Toni continues to take center stage in part two of Space Cakes. Learn the secret origin of Chogs, get a glimpse into Toni's past and more! The Cover: The new cover is fantastic and way better than the original. It's colorful, fun and features more refrences as to what you'll find inside the book than the original. It's as the title of the review says pure fun. The Art: Rob Guillory's art fits the tone of the story perfectly. His art i...

Giles: Secret Origin 0

This issue takes a look into the past of Giles, and introduces two characters who seem to be very important to Angel's quest to revive him. Good. To start out this book actually feels like Buffy. Unlike Buffy Season Nine, Angel and Faith sound like Angel and Faith(in my opinion Buffy Season Nine doesn't feel like Buffy to me). We are introduced to Giles aunts and I can not help but find them pretty funny. The issue may seem like a filler but it actually develops not only Giles backstory b...

"I Hope You Did." 0

After the Dark Angel Saga, I knew that it would be very hard to follow up with a arc as good as that one. In my opinion I was right, the Otherworld(#20-21, I stopped reading after that)story was very mediocre. Now it's a fresh new story, an amazing artist, and a look into AOA(Age of Apocalypse) Nightcrawler's past. Good. Prior to this Nightcrawler(Although he has only been on for like three issues) and Fantomex were my least favorite of the bunch, now their my favorite characters. We g...

Storm, & Colossus Are Back! 0

So, #8-9 really were not that great, I hate to say it but I really questioned getting this issue but I'm really happy I did. Story: Camp Angel's inmates have revolted! Storm reunites with Colossus! Plus; one character may have gone mad? Good After two issues which were at best average, the book finally picks up the pace. It's great to see old X-Men again, and Storm is just so awesome in this issue. So this arc also features the return of Ultimate Stacy X, and mutants must pick sides. T...

May the odds be---Oh wait? 1

I'm back! Image has been on fire lately! This book is about a reality tv show, in which the participants all fight to be a super-hero! Good. The art is some of the best Brian Hitch art, I think I've ever seen. The character's all have a distinct look to them, and no two characters look alike. The scenery is so amazingly well done. So just flat out great art. Now to the story, the diologue is pretty great. While it has curses in it, it's realistic the characters aren't bland characters wit...

Really just a wonderful book! 1

Wow! Just wow each issue just gets better and better! I'm going to say it, this is my favorite ultimate book and second favorite marvel book(favorite is Winter Soldier)! Good. Ultimatum is slowly and possibly getting undone and this issue proves it. The cover is awesome. This issue is about Quicksilver,I've kind of been mad because of them turning him into a villain of sorts but this issue fixes it all. The art is awesome by the way. Also finally after all this time Quicksilver goes back to w...

What a rip off(SPOILERS) 0

So I've been reading alot of different books lately and decided I'd try this book out. We'll I'll warn you, don't buy this book. Good. The few bits of writing is good. The art is pretty nice too. Bad!!!!! So first off this book is $3.99 for only 22 pages of "story". Now just because it's called Godzilla don't expect to see him in the book for then one page at the end. The writing in this book could literally if they wanted too fit withen one page. The story is spoiler alert we flash around t...

NEW 52: Flash #2 Think Fast 0

I'm baaaaaaaack!!!! Sorry I haven't been on in a while I still have a ton of comics I need to review more then I had before. Flash was the title I was most looking forward to of the reboot but it has been a big let down. Plot: Think Fast features Barry trying to guess what? Think Fast! I know right who'd have thought. The mystery regarding the Mob Rule depens as we learn a little more about Manuel Lago. Good: Cover is interesting it's different and is a good cover to represent this issue and i...

Ultimate Spider-Man: Meet Ultimate Fing Fang Foom! 0

Fing Fang Foom huh? Frog Man huh? Don't worry it'll all make sence when you read it! Plot: Miles is dealing with his new powers, his dad reveals a family secret, We meet Miles Best Friend Ganke, and there is a awesome reasoning for Miles secret powers! Good!  After the first issue which left me bored like really bored this issue is actually interesting. While it remains pretty similar to the first few issues of USM Vol 1 there are enough differences to make it interesting. While the story is goi...

Dark Knight: Nursery Crimes! 0

Paul Jenkins joins David Finch for Batman the Dark Knight will it suffer the same delays as before? Plot:  Arkham Asylum has a breakout and the Batman's most obscure villains return(Ragdoll, Zebra Man, Mortician,Reaper, & Fright) and a new one(White Rabit) are roaming the streets of Gotham while Two Face makes his return to the DCNU what does he want and what has changed him? Good: Other then a bit of diologue(ex; last page) the diologue is overall pretty great and Paul Jenkins continues to ...

Flash: Flash V.S. Madrox ! 0

Flash returns after a long hiatus and a great last arc:Road to Flashpoint! Will this book live up to expectations? Plot:  The Flash is framed for a murder(kinda), Flash is on the run from the Mob Rule, but who are the Mob Rule and what do they wan't with the Flash and his old friend Manuel? Good! Iris is(imo) portrayed much better here then in the old Flash book in which she sat in the background called Barry and drank coffee continuisly. Here she is a reporter and a good one at that, I hope Bar...

The Republic is Burning someone get a fire Extinguisher! 0

After the first issue I wondered would I pick this up? I did and you know what? I don't regret it one bit. Story: Ragnorok has arrived as the Children of Tomorrow lead by Reed Richards and a M.O.D.O.K like guy attack Asgard, Captain France is awesome, Loki appears(which brings me to the conclusion that both 616 Loki and 1610 Loki are both awesome), Thor's son also is back, we don't see Valkyre however. Cover:  Wow..just wow is that a great cover better then all of the Ultimate Covers. Writing Hi...

Brilliant was a book I was really excited for but ultimatley was let down with... Good The book has the potential to be good and the basic idea is great. Mark Bagley's art is amazing here it's slightly different then usual which is pretty good it's still the same awesome Bagley art.  Amadeus is definitley not a hero which is great to see a book with no hero. It's also as realistic as a comic could be(with the exception of diologue). Also I like the back cover. BAD!!!! Bendis can't pull of sweari...

So much better then "The Justice League" 0

The Justice League International is back! First I have to say I was extremely mixed on JL:GL because it was like a 100 issues of everything going wrong Max Lord this Max Lord and in the end he won. Guess what though no Max Lord even mentioning in this. However since this is the first JLI then what does this mean for Ted Kord not mentioned once at all not refrenced he was never a member of the JLI unless there was one they never mentioned that booster was on but it seems unlikely. GOOD! This stor...
