This is an extremely difficult question. My favorite character is probably the main one from my favorite film. Clarence Worley in True Romance. He loves comics and works at a comic store. He's a fan of the bad ass Sonny Chiba and also a big fan of Elvis who he talks too. Damn this is a difficult question though and there's so many movie characters I love.
Personally, I've always really liked Marlin from Finding Nemo. A massive worrywart with an unintentional sense of humor, but you really feel for the guy and how desperate he is to get to his son. He's got some great rapport with Dory.
@arctika: Some guests it can be a long wait. Hours a few times. Mark Hamill and Chris Evans were long waits at NYCC but at smaller shows sometimes you can walk right up to their table. Off the top of my head I remember walking right up to Tom Payne's (Jesus from TWD) table. There have been very few actual negative experiences. It does happen from time to time. Michael Rooker (Yondu/Merle) is wild and was fun and told my family a cool story but he also signed his auto excessively large for reasons only he would know.
A lot of a con is what you make of it. You can cosplay, collect autos or photos, buy geek stuff, or just whatever. Someone once went around NYCC getting all the Batman cosplayers autographs and they'd write like "Caped Crusader" "Dark Knight" etc. I'm sure that was fun.
@arctika: I've been going to comic, horror, and sports cons for the last ten years now. I have some pictures and stuff under my blogs of the beginning into that world. Norman signed 3 items for my family and was so cool and chill. Usually only have one item signed but he was special. Had a Walking Dead poster signed that has many other cast on it, a custom piece of art I had commissioned, and a leather vest that is the same he wears on the show.
