It's been a long time coming. I love Jose Aldo also and he was the best p4p until tonight. My boy McGregor fulfilled his destiny and is the Undisputed Featherweight Champ! Clean win with a stone cold starch KO. What a great night. Tonight we Irish celebrate... Slainte.
@ms-lola:Thank you so much. We had our local con just this Sunday and I've been working out since that picture and I really feel it paid off as I can see more definition in my arms. Still working on that belly though lol. I also had Tom Raney sketch a picture of Bane wearing that same vest I have in the picture there. It's the first in a new sketchbook I'm starting with the theme of "Villains". It is epic.
I think it'll be good down at NYCC. Actually my gf just wrote my at work today saying we got invited to the Walking Dead premiere at Madison Square Garden which is on Friday. She's always doing those sweepstakes things. Considering that is the day we will be down there I think we might just go to that also. I'm not a panel person like I said but the cast is suppose to be there and maybe I'll get lucky and meet some of them.
I've never been to a con where there were "guests" listed who you couldn't actually meet. The entire concept of calling someone a guest who isn't available to meet or get signatures from is insane to me. Does that sould crazy to anyone else? This could likely be my first and last time at NYCC.
Anyone going to NYCC this year? What are your plans and what days will you be there? Panels, Signatures, Sketches, Cosplay?
I'll be cosplaying as Bane and meeting up with a group of DC cosplayers. Might try to get a sketch from Richard Isanove and also get some signatures from Jim Lee, Esad Ribic, Tim Sale, Mike Del Mundo, Scott Snyder, and Greg Capullo. I'm hoping Jason Shawn Alexander has a print of a great Abe Sapien drawing he did available.
I mistakingly thought I'd be able to meet a couple celebrities there but it seems they will only be attending panels (which I don't care about at all). I'm actually highly disappointed in that but oh well. I still expect to have a great time experiencing the big show for the first time.
This is one of my favorite cosplay pictures I just thought I'd share also. Myself as Bane with Bane co-creator Graham Nolan...
